In the fancy hall of the Estorian palace, King Noor IV kept talking. His voice sounded like he knew a lot and was a little bit tired.
"...go to the United Academy. Our kingdom, Estoria, hasn't done anything really great there yet." He stopped for a moment, letting them think about that.
"The nobles and royal kids from all over go there. They are often super smart, like geniuses. It's very, very hard to be better than them, even for people we think are smart here."
Eric's eyes got a little wider. The United Academy. He'd heard the name before, people said it quietly and with a lot of respect. It was the best place to learn and train for fighting.
It was where future leaders and protectors of kingdoms were made. The idea of going there, of being compared to such super-talented people, surprised him a lot.
Inside Eric's body, Adam, who usually just watched the world quietly from inside Eric's body, suddenly got very interested.
