"James was raised Christian. He only knew the life of working on the farm and the home training given by his very strict parents. He did not have the opportunity to study the myths and stories of old. He would not have known what creatures walked around him." Elena was excited to tell James' story. He was a great hero in the making after all.
Elena pauses the story there for her little ones. She packs them up and sends them off into the school's other areas. Each of the students have their extracurriculars to help them grow as members of the school. Some of the students have archery, sword fighting, survival skills, or gardening. Others have less outdoorsy skills like medicines, household keeping, war strategy, or communications. All of the electives offered are meant to build skills that are not part of the Deity House the student belongs in. The students are allowed three electives throughout the week and can go when they have breaks from their lectures. Elena teaches an elective on household building and home designing for the older students. She loves creating a space where people want to be and feel at home.
Elena sits in her rocking chair and watches her little warriors come back to her. She is thinking about what part of the story comes next. She loves to imagine the different options that she can tell. Every time she tells it, she always starts with the big three. Each of the people in her story are battling their own paths, but they intertwine so messily. She decides she wants to start on Samia next. When the students finally settle, she begins her tale again. This time, she does not plan on pausing for a while.
"Welcome back, children. I hope you enjoyed your elective! I am going to continue the story for the rest of class." Elena began again.
