Chapter 73 - Chapter 73 – Slaughter City Rises Again

Ruins of Slaughter City – Midnight

Once a forbidden place of darkness and death, the ruins of Slaughter City stood broken, half-buried beneath ash and time. The ground was cracked, soaked in ancient blood. The silence here wasn't peace—it was hunger waiting to return.

Ren stood at the edge of the desolation, his cloak fluttering in the midnight wind. Shadows coiled restlessly at his feet, as if they too remembered the carnage that once ruled this city of death.

Behind him stood three of his closest companions—Arkana, the Blade Princess; Feiyan, the sly Flame Whisperer; and the newly crowned Beast Empress, the Ice Jade Scorpion, now draped in flowing silver and icy blue robes. All watched silently as Ren stepped forward into the heart of ruin.

"Why here?" Arkana asked, her voice low.

"Because this place has the bones of an empire," Ren said. "And I will raise it again. Not as a pit of despair… but as a sanctuary for strength."

He knelt, placing a hand to the earth. The moment his palm touched stone, the Pocket Hunting Dimension pulsed with energy. From its depths, a black crystal orb emerged, glowing faintly with divine markings—one of the orbs only accessible through conquest and rebirth.

"From death, life," Ren whispered. "From ruin… order."

The shadows surged out from him like tidal waves, washing over the ruins.

Stones trembled. Broken walls reassembled. The darkness writhed, coiling and building upon itself like living architecture.

Slaughter City began to rebuild—reborn not as a cult of madness, but as the dark jewel of Ren's empire.

Slaughter Throne – The New Rule

Where the blood throne once sat, a new one rose—crafted from obsidian, wrapped in shimmering veins of violet and gold.

Ren stood before it, flanked by his court. The surviving remnants of the Slaughter Arena—those who clung to its traditions—had gathered, trembling.

He did not threaten them. He did not preach.

He proved.

In a single moment, he summoned shadows that consumed every trace of corruption still lingering. And then, he brought forth three women—their forms resurrected from the edge of time.

"From the bones of this place, I return its forgotten queens," he said.

Bibi Dong's youthful soul, radiant and powerful before her corruption.

Hu Liena, her heart freed from control.

And a third—Xue Yin, a soul-bound assassin whose beauty and fury had been lost to slaughter centuries ago.

They opened their eyes, memories restored, and saw him.

Not as a conqueror.

But as their salvation.

"What do you want from us?" Bibi Dong whispered.

"Nothing," Ren said. "But if you walk with me, I will give you everything."

The women knelt—not from fear, but in choice.

And the city roared with life.

The Slaughter Court Is Born

A new faction joined Ren's growing empire: the Slaughter Court—a council of assassins, warriors, and soul masters who thrived in the darkness but no longer bowed to it.

Their queen, Bibi Dong, stood at Ren's side, reborn not in bitterness, but with purpose. Together with the Blade Princess and Beast Empresses, the balance of power across the continent began to shift.

Final Scene – The Sky Cracks

As Ren sat upon the new throne, the shadows deepened—and then a flash of light tore across the sky.

The Sea God's Trident shimmered in the heavens.

"Tang San has begun his ascent," Arkana warned.

Ren smirked, eyes flashing.

"Then let him rise. I've built kingdoms in the dark. Now, I'll seize his ocean too."
