Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Foundation of the Future

Chapter 25: Foundation of the Future

Location: Dominion Vault – Adam's Personal Dimension

Date: December 3, 2007

Time: 10:03 AM

Adam stood at the heart of his floating city, the wind tousling his dark hair as he looked out over the endless horizon. The starlit sky shimmered above, and below, the obsidian-marble streets of his domain waited—silent, pristine, and full of potential.

"I own a floating magic city in a pocket dimension," he muttered, letting the words roll over his tongue. "Eat your heart out, Tony Stark."

He raised his hand, and the Dominion Ring pulsed. A soft hum echoed through the air as the central spire responded, revealing a curved archway leading down—toward the Vault's inner sanctum.

The Grand Archive.Every magical instinct he had told him this was where power slept.

Interior – Vault Library

The moment he entered, the temperature dropped. Light from glowing crystals danced across thousands of bookshelves, spiraling up into shadowy heights. Floating platforms drifted between levels, carrying books and glowing orbs. A massive celestial map rotated silently above, locked in a slow, deliberate orbit.

"This… this is insane," Adam whispered. "This place makes the Library of Alexandria look like a coloring book."

He stepped toward the closest shelf and ran his fingers over the spine of a leather-bound tome. It pulsed at his touch.

[Archive Intelligence Online. Welcome, Owner.]

A soft, female voice echoed in his head.

"Would you like assistance accessing memory spells?"

"Oh, straight to business? I like you already." Adam grinned. "Yeah, show me anything that lets me share my memories—visions, experiences, knowledge. I need a way to recruit people without giving them a 20-hour lecture."

"Recommended: Echo Imprint Ritual."

A glowing book hovered before him, opening itself. Arcane diagrams unfurled across the pages, showing swirling soul-tethers and shimmering light pulses.

Echo Imprint Ritual Share condensed, curated fragments of your memory with another sentient being. The memory appears as a v ivid dream, complete with emotions, visuals, and thoughts. Can be embedded into objects, sigils, or even foods.Warning: Deep emotional moments may amplify transfer impact.

Adam leaned back and laughed. "I can literally make people dream about my glorious life? Perfect. Who needs motivational speeches when you can hand someone a magic memory fruit?"

His eyes sparkled as possibilities bloomed in his mind. He could show people his vision, his pain, his triumphs—and they'd understand. They'd believe.

They'd follow.

Hours Later – City Expansion

Back on the surface, Adam stood in the central plaza and raised his hand again. The Dominion Ring flared.

"Let's terraform this bad boy."

Obsidian veins glowed across the ground as entire sections of land warped and shifted. Towers erupted like seeds sprouting in time-lapse. Homes, gardens, training courtyards, mana fountains. Every creation obeyed his will. Sculpted matter. Pure structure. Designed for living, training, thriving.

But when he tried to create plants, nothing happened.

The Ring buzzed gently.

[Lifeforms cannot be generated. External recruitment required.]

Adam sighed, placing his hands on his hips. "Of course. Can build cities, create lands, but I still need someone to plant a tree."

He turned toward the coastline.

The sea wasn't water—it was mana. Thick, swirling, glowing. Waves of blue energy lapped against black-sand shores. He knelt down and touched the sand. It pulsed like a heartbeat.

"Spiritual energy saturation… Damn. If I plant anything here…"

He tested it. With a small push of mana, he willed a pit into the ground, then took a tree seed and put it in .

The Ring complied.

A glowing sapling formed from raw matter. He pressed his hand to it and channeled some of his own magic.

The tree pulsed, then began to grow—fast. In moments, it stood nearly two meters tall, its leaves shimmering with pale gold light.

And then it bloomed.

Each fruit that hung from its branches looked like a translucent peach with glowing veins of blue.

[Spiritual Fruit: Class D+]

Effect: Slight enhancement to mana affinity. Boosts spiritual awareness. Tastes like victory.

Adam bit into one. "Holy hell… That's better than mangoes and enlightenment."

He laughed, spitting the pit into the ground.

"Alright. I need people—loyal ones. Workers, scholars, soldiers. The first generation of the Vault's citizens."

He glanced around the empty city. Silent streets. Waiting towers.

And then, a whisper of purpose curled in his chest.

He wasn't building a hideout. He was building a civilization.

Later That Night – Adam's Meditation Room

Adam floated cross-legged above the glowing floor tiles, five spiritual fruits hovering in the air around him. He'd infused each with a memory—his journey so far, his visions of the future, and the feeling of invincible ambition.

"Tomorrow, I'll head out and start handing these out like destiny-flavored candy."

He grinned.

"Let's see who's brave enough to eat one."
