Kael's once stood as a symbol of peace and Resilience in the heart of a disastrous neighborhood in New Haven. His father, Kimba Kael, was a respected man in the community— a Former guard of the Hazard turned youth mentor, who ran a local gym that was a safe house for kids trying to escape the streets of New Haven. His mother Lakisha Kael, Worked multiple jobs to keep food on the table while finding a way to make every fight for her sons. The Kael's weren't rich, but their presence and unspoken love shined bright. Mason was the youngest of four brothers, Justin, The eldest, was calm and book-smart— he always looked out for the boys. Justin was quiet but never let them get discouraged. Dizzy and Nick, The middle two, rougher around the edges but loyal to the family. Together, the boys were thick as thieves, they protected Mason from everything. Mason always wanted to be strong and like-minded like them. Nick's physicality, Justin's emotional control, and Dizzy's beliefs. Mason was a big-hearted kid from a broken neighborhood. Strong in body and spirit The Syndicate didn't see a family—They saw one threat. When Mason began showing signs of deviation from their program, the Syndicate reacted swiftly. One night, Masked men broke into the Kael household. Reported as "robbery". Nick and Justin were killed instantly trying to attack the robbers. Kimba Sr. died Shielding Lakisha, trying to escape. Dizzy barely survived the attack. But not without injuries and trauma that would haunt him for life. Mason, hearing the commotion going on ran out of his room to see his brothers and father slaughtered. Mason pinched himself crying historically. Frozen from seeing the sight of his family, the masked men knock him out cold. Lakisha and Dizzy moved to the father's gym as fast as they could, but Mason knew the truth— they were targets now, liabilities. Bearing the guilt under leadership and muscle. It hardens him.
