Chapter 3 - Awakening of Lux

Ashvael stares at the shattered mirror, the reflection he saw was gone in an instant suddenly the pendant started glowing with crimson glow and burning, Ashvael started screaming his heart was racing at the speed of horses suddenly the burning sensation stopped Ashvael took heavy breaths, sweat dripping from his brow. He tried to stand, legs shaky, when the bite on his neck flared up. It glowed faintly pale violet lines creeping from the wound like veins of light. "What the hell is happening to me?" he muttered, eyes wide with fear. I am dying what is happening to me after some time the pain was gone he was relieved, when he put hand on his chest to remove the pendant he feels that the pendant is not there he removed his shirt and see the pendant was not there he was shocked but there was something else on place of pendant, a mark which is not ink but something it looked like pendant but it feels alive. Ashvael was confused, he started thinking why this happening to him suddenly he hears voice

"Unit: Lux... initialization complete."

Ashvael stumbled back. "Who's there?! What are you?!"

the mark on his chest pulsed with energy, ash feel like someone is there in the room shadows stretched unnaturally along the walls. In the corner of his vision, he saw a figure but can't seem see his face suddenly there were symbols on wall he don't know but was that but he can read the symbols its like he known symbols from birth.

"You have been marked by the Void. The Monarch's gift runs through your veins now."

that was written on wall according to ash, his heart rate suddenly dropped he was barely standing by the help of the table. ash asked question what are you, who are you

This time a voice came again—closer this time

"I am the remnant. The echo left behind. The will of the Voidborne Monarch."

Ashvael saw a figure stepped forward, barely visible—shrouded in shifting shadows, like a living silhouette. Only its eyes were clear: glowing violet, burning through the dark again ash asked who are you and the figure answered

LUX

Ashvael feared by the voice asked, what are you doing inside me

Lux's voice came again calm, resonant, laced with inhuman clarity.

"I am not inside you. I am you now"

Ashvael's lips trembled. "What… what do you mean you are me?"

The figure didn't move, yet the room seemed to ripple. The shadows hissed, coiling around Lux like serpents hungry for truth.

"You are no longer just Ashvael. You are the Vessel. The Void has chosen.

I am the awakening… and you are

the rebirth."

He landed with a thump, his eyesight fading into streaks of violet and crimson. Every nerve in his body fired—painful, electric, and alive. The mark on his chest burned like a brand, moving slightly and pulsating with an unfamiliar heartbeat. Symbols swirled over the floor around him, shining dimly, old, sacred, and foreign. His mouth opened to scream, but no sound emerged. Only breathless horror.

The room darkened unexpectedly, with the edges collapsing inward as if reality itself was being drawn into him. Ashvael felt it—something inside him bursting forth, no longer dormant. His memories fluttered like broken pages: the day he discovered the pendant the night of the bite, the dreams he'd ignored

Lux's voice reappeared, but this time it resonated from within his brain rather than from the room.

"Don't resist. The Monarch's gift isn't a curse. "It is freedom." Ashvael's hands clawed at the earth, while violet tendrils snaked from the mark to his veins, branching like lightning beneath his skin.

Sudden silent.
