Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

Darkness.

It all began with eternal darkness.

No sight, no sound, no touch, no taste.

Nothingness. But then, glimmering dots of light appeared, scattered across the void in every color of the spectrum. I floated in that empty space, weightless and unafraid. Somehow, I instinctively knew how to move. Twisting, turning, gliding through the air as if I had done it all my life.

The view was mesmerizing. Peaceful, even. I wished, deep down, that it wasn't just a dream. Then, I saw it. A flat piece of land, floating in the void. Like a chunk of grassland had been carved out of the Earth and placed here. That's when I realized... this had to be a dream. A strange, surreal dream.

As I approached the land, memories, vivid and violent, rushed into my mind.

I killed someone.

I ate something, it's still warm with blood.

I killed people.

I killed things.

I was ruthless.

I stepped onto the grass. And in that moment, blinding lights burst to life around me. They came from countless portal-like voids, surrounding me on all sides.

Figures emerged from them, creatures of all shapes and sizes, clearly not human. They raised their hands toward me. And then, they fired and blinding white light erupting in a relentless barrage.

And I—

Woke up.

"It was just a dream," I whispered.

But it wasn't. That dream was the beginning. The beginning of change. The world as we know it will fall into chaos, a place where the only rule is to eat or be eaten. A world where humans are pushed beyond their limits, breaking through their earthly chains. A world ruled by the Law of Nature. The will of the Origin.
