Chapter 32 - 32: The Echo of Legends

Elysiar – Nexus Spire, Central Summoning Platform

The chamber still pulsed with residual energy, though the blinding light had faded.

In its place stood the summon—tall, armored, and radiating power not only through the Force but through the very structure of the city itself. His armor gleamed like etched obsidian and silver, reinforced with arcane threads and ancient runes from a world not of this galaxy. A massive, broad-bladed sword rested diagonally across his back, humming with latent energy.

He stepped forward, and the summoning glyph beneath him flickered—not in warning, but in reverence.

Adam stared, chest tight with anticipation.

The figure tilted his head slightly, eyes narrowing—not in suspicion, but calculation. He reached up and removed the segmented helmet.

Sharp features. Regal bearing. Eyes that shimmered like storms over a steel sea.

"I am Artorias," he said.

"I felt the call," he continued. "Not just of your system—but of something older. This world is a fulcrum. A wound, and a cure. I will stand beside it."

Adam swallowed, then nodded. "Then you're welcome in Elysiar."

Artorias offered a slight bow—not submission, but recognition.

And the city reacted.

Across Elysiar

Where Artorias walked, things shifted.

Crystals grew brighter. The air felt heavier but more stable—like pressure smoothing chaos into harmony. Units stationed near him straightened subconsciously. Drone efficiency rose by 6%. Civilians paused when he passed—not in fear, but reverence.

Even the Vault trembled faintly.

The system recognized him not just as a summon—but as a pillar.

A stabilizing force against what was coming.

Vault of Balance – Later That Day

The great doors opened for Count Dooku and Alis for the first time.

Their requests to see the Vault had been noted. Their intentions examined. And at last, Mara had granted them access.

They stepped in, side by side but silently aware of one another's presence.

Alis inhaled sharply. "It feels alive."

"It is," Mara said, leading them in. "It remembers balance, and it reflects those who seek it. You'll see what you're meant to."

As they walked the spiraled halls, both stopped often—drawn to different symbols, different messages. Dooku lingered at a mural showing a lightsaber held in two hands: one robed in white, the other in black.

"The wielder… wears both," he murmured.

Alis stood before a basin of water that shimmered with smoke—not revealing visions, but feelings.

She touched it and felt possibility.

Mara watched them both quietly.

They didn't ask for power.

They asked for understanding.

And that, she thought, was enough.

Elysiar – Twilight

Adam met with Artorias again on a garden bridge overlooking the western district.

"You weren't surprised," Adam said. "When you were summoned."

"I was already halfway here," Artorias replied. "This planet called to what was left of me. And then rebuilt it."

Adam chuckled softly. "That's kind of what it does."

The knight gazed at the glowing skyline.

"It will need protection. Not because it is weak—but because it is rare."

He turned, hand on the hilt of his greatsword.

"Tell me what you need, and I will carve space for it to grow."

Adam nodded.

Because now—he truly could.
