Chapter 6 - The Buki Soul

His ears simply gave a flicker. Stuck in the car, was quite boring in the end. Mainly for the hyperactive personality he had. – Not much time passed by before Fen returned, along with the other four. Tris was sitting in the seat by the window. Previously the seat was left unoccupied, him being stuck in the middle of Elaine and Mina before moving. . So he quite liked it. Sol's blessing beating down right through it, perhaps a good option to write some more runes. . Taking how out he was. . Apart from his little Boom scroll the First. – Which will probably never be used any time soon! I suppose that is the bad part when creating a bomb with a concentrated 10 foot cube blast as strong as then airplanes crashing. . And exploding.

Tris was not paying attention to them, seemingly he was staring outside the window with a small smile. Right at one, black, dust like spot onto the ground. No more white shards were left, they long dissipated. Just the simple black color left by the little explosion. .

"Soo, what were you all worried about Fen?"

Mina was the first ask, leaving the Bard to his own for now. Perhaps for the best, as she was quite confused about Fen's call if anything. After all he looked quite panicked moments before!

"I am fine, just two lower shadows. . Attempted. To assault the car."

His words put a different tonality on Attempted, almost trying to make it clear they were basically imploded. – But yet, the way he said it casually just made the whole group that actually paid attention look confuse, and just blink twice.

"I- Two-?! What happened with them- Did you deal with them?"

Mina spoke, her voice coming out squeaky, in the end not knowing entirely what happened when Fen left the restaurant, Her eyes moving over to Tris. . Thinking he was probably traumatized.

"No I did not, but they stumbled upon a Boy, and a Book. Then imploded and cracked."

Fen spoke casually, Tris in the corner just gave a small as he still kept looking outside the window as Fen started the car and simply began moving. Where? None of them knew, probably just some small car trip.

"I- You mean the little guy took care of them?! And is left unwounded!"

Mina spoke quite loudly, blinking again, Tris's ears flickered at being called little. . While he truly wasn't, being quite on the taller side. He gave a small sigh, it was better to just stop here. – But seems like Fen had another opinion.

"Not unharmed. But he heals fast. And is smart. Simple as that."

Fen spoke, adding that quite plainly. Tris turned his head, his eyes staring into the front mirror right at him, simply, he gave a smile. Seems his lies could not bring him comfort this time.

"Hu- Is he not HUMAN? Those Elves you spoke about? Don't those just live long- Is he like you or- Or-! I am out of ideas. ."

Mina spoke out swiftly, blinking at every one of her words. Simply awaiting for Fen to answer her barrage. Hopefully making things clear.

"Uuhh. . I think those questions are not mine to answer. Nor would I be able to provide a proper answer, without probably missing a lot of details. ."

Fen spoke, giving a sigh. Tris just grinned in his corner, ears flickering once more.

"Ask him more! More More!"

The bard spoke with his grin wide, he loved seeing him annoyed after all.

"You shush before I bring up your little features. Tris."

Fen shot a gaze back at Tris, smiling. The moment he heard those words. Tris went silent. If those things came out he would truly die out of embarrassment, and bullying for that matter. Taking Mina exists.

"You- Yeah no, actually. I dare you. Do it."

This, was clearly a threat! Tris's ears flickered, moving his body as he spoke out, if he spoke. Fen would probably get socked in the face. But in the end the question is other. Would he regret it? Probably not. – The group was simply staring at the two, wondering how this would. Even Elaine was grinning, Rowan contemplating if he should let them argue while Fen is driving. . And Noah simply cackling in the back.

"Mina, He has a fluffy tail. And ears."

Fen spoke, almost blankly, suppressing a laughter. Now, The drama started coming down! Mina looked confused. . After all she saw no tail. Tris blinked, currently contemplating which poison to slide in every food or drink Fen ever ate. Immortality did not mean he could escape the pain-y wrath of this Sol-Lit devil.

"Fen- I am stupid. . But not that stupid. . He has none!"

Mina spoke, blinking once more, giving a smile. Thinking of it similar to a joke, after all she has seen no fluffy tail, nor ears. And then Fen simply raised his shoulders. He tried at least!

"Buki Souls. Not even I understand them fully."

Fen spoke blankly, his eyes fixated on the road, Tris gave a chuckle, he expected this in the end, the challenge was intentional. No one in their right mind would believe those words unless they held the proper knowledge.

"Mhmm, look how fluffy my ears areee. Surely true!"

Tris spoke, turning his head and showing his normal ears, attempting to make his own words as credible as possible. In the end that is his only option, unless he had to explain how Buki Souls and the things worked. . Which pretty much he did not fully understand himself.

"Mhmm, very!"

Mina said with a chuckle, her hand moving and proceeding to just mess his hair up. Tapping it lightly. Tris let out a small squeak, holding his head. Then, shooting a stare right at her, followed by a loud huff. – His hands moved swiftly trough his head, arranging it back the best he could. Clearly showing dislike to his head being touched.

"Eek-! You little-"

His hand raised into the air, grinning. . Yet his teeth were clenched. He knew this was gonna hurt, but it would be worth it. – He moved his finger into the air. A glowing like ink being left mid air, and it read as such. 'Wind' – This art was not practical, as pain surged a bit through him, as it took much more energy and practice to get the hang of. Even Tris, could only do this one rune.

"TRIS-"

Spoke the horrified Fen! Looking in the front mirror and just noticing the rune being drawn. The group seemed to be in awe, not fully understand what was just about to go down. – And as such, the rune kept its promise. Winds seemed to form within the car. Growing stronger with each passing moment, as a giant blast of wind seemed to push everyone back, pushing them against their seats. As he raised his hand, and clenched it around the Rune, simply, making it stop and absorbing it!

The bard just proceeded to cackle and laugh, as everyone but him and Fenrir looked rather horrified! Fen on the other side, seemed exasperated and very much was thinking how to deal with our little fox! – But in the end, stars were limitless. Fen was still human, still had limits. But at this point. The little bard seemed as limitless as the starless sky of the lost cities.

"Okay. . WHAT WAS THAT?!"

This time is was not Mina that spoke, Elaine just looked up from her seat and at the grinning bard, just blinking twice. While the others were almost silent.

"Fen. . Did you shove a creature from the magical shits in the back seats with them?"

Said Rowan! His smile widening lightly. Did the teacher wish to spare him from such fate? WAS HE THE FAVOURITE?! Probably not.

"HUH-!?"

Noah was more on the panicked side, his up his compressed weapons in his palms. Seemingly quite panicked by the sudden wind blast.

"AW- Feennn! Is he a wind spirit or something? That would make so much more sense. . . Is he an actual child?"

Mina still was smiling in awe! Seemingly she was quite interested in the peculiar child. Was he even a child? She could not tell!

Fen pulled the car into a familiar driveway, giving a light chuckle.

"No No, he is normal. That is called Rune casting, he is decently proficient with it! And, No. You cannot learn it, its something you are born attuned to. And takes a lot of preparations. . Runes written in air are extremely unstable."

He spoke with a smile, perhaps the little antics of our fox have gotten to his head! Simply taking out the key and flipping it around his finger. The group just went silent! A child younger than them was simply born lucky. Yet Fen said he was proficient. So maybe he learned? Eh, not like they cared that much about it, Mina simply chuckled and was the first to get outside, and stretch her arms. Followed by Elaine and then Noah, that still kept a slightly spooked face. Tris seemingly stood inside just a bit longer.

"Tris, Up Up! Fuka's inside."

His ears perked up! Smiling, moving like the wind, with his gracious movements almost reflecting Sol's blessing. He left the car and dashed forward, faster than the rest. As such, so did the rest! Just giving some laughs and following along swiftly. Even if they weren't familiar with who that person was. . Was it a person? They left that this morning, they didn't see anyone.

As such, when the entered, the big, gym like zone, out of a door in the back dashed out a white fox, her tail flickering into the air as she ran up to the bard, climbing onto his clothes and proceeding to cling onto him!

Fen in the back was chuckling, carrying Tris's bag and simply placing it down nearby while the bard just hugged the clingy fox. It was quite an adorable look. The fox just moved and hoped on his shoulder with her hind legs. Her front paws placed on the top of his fluffy hair.

"Fukaa, I knowww! I missed you too, little one."

Tris spoke, the fox just continued to move around. Until something happened. – Fen reached into Tris's bag and took out a book, seemingly a journal of some kind. He wiggled it into the air, looking over at the fox.

"Little Linguist, you want it dont you? Seeing his little trip for the past three months. Catch!"

The fox's ears flickered, at the same time Tris's own did. Fuka seemed to understand, moving herself as Fen threw the book lightly.

"BOOK!"

No, no. That wasn't Tris, nor any of the group. The fox just spoke the word and proceeded to catch it with her mouth. Placing it down onto the ground and opening it with her snout. The knights seemed shocked, while Fen and Tris laughed lightly. Seemingly familiar with this kind of behavior.

"Fuka!- Come on you can do that later. Did you really not miss me at alll?!"

Tris spoke dramatically, almost like making a fake scene, yet still chuckling under his breath. His smile clear and wide on his face as the fox seemingly just sat and kept reading page after page, flipping it with her tail!

"You grammar is horrific young man! Are you only good at writing runes?!"

Fuka spoke once more, judging his grammar. At that point, even while not knowing what the hell was happening, the rest of the group began laughing as the judgy fox continued to flip through the pages. In the end, it was not a scene you would see everyday!

"And that, is a Buki Soul!"

Fen spoke with a small proudness in his voice, almost like he finally pushed trough Tris's lie. But it seemed like he did not exactly do that yet!

"Its just a talking Fox. . Id think there is more magical things! Nor does it seem Tris has a tail or ears yet!"

Mina spoke, just shutting Fen down in her laughter. In the end she was right, there were probably more magical things around

"Tris, you are making me curse my damned existence. . You're writing is so broken and flipped I mistook a sentence for French and Runic. . You're lucky I understand every spoken and written language."

The fox chimed in, still reading at an unnatural pace, just making the group bust out into laughter once more, seemingly not stopping anytime soon.

"Shut it already, you can't even write! Damned Fox. ."

Tris spoke with a huff, crossing his arms, and turning his head away. Seemingly flustered by his grammar being judged by well. A fox! He simply walked over. And grabbed Fuka's tail. Yanking it!

Suddenly, the Fox seemed to turn into threads of light, letting out a small squeak.

"I was not done yeeeett-!"

Were the words Fuka spoke out, as her threads simply seemed to be absorb, forming around Tris, his ears turned a bit more sharp, growing a small layer of fluff. Along with the threads arranging behind him and forming a tail! – Unlike his hair color, these ones were a darker Magenta color, unusual perhaps. But special in their own way.

The group as left in awe as he simply turned himself and stretched. Until now, Tris looked agile, but physically weaker than the average human. Now, seemingly whole again, he seemed a bit better than average, maybe even a bit at a human peak strength wise, along with his speed greatly increased as he span once around in the big room.

His eyes followed along taking a small, fox-like animalistic look for a few seconds before returning back to normal. Some small whiskers setting on his face. And his hair taking a fur-like texture. Seemingly fitting!

And as such, apart from Fen, the group was left in a deep silence at the sudden change.
