Chapter 28 - That Was Our Disaster

Elena was well-prepared! She already had Nini and the Lord of Fear as powerful warriors at her side, and now she had a Blood Disaster Flower as well. Soon, Arucado would be under her control, and then she could bring in her father... But for some reason, even with all these powerful forces at her disposal, Elena still felt uneasy, as if she couldn't match her one-hundredth guest.

"Deal! Beautiful Princess," the Blood Disaster Flower drooled, its eyes showing greed as it looked Elena up and down.

"Sister, I think you've really lost your mind!" Arucado warned, "You're actually making a deal with a disaster!"

"I'm perfectly fine!" Elena had a desperate air about her, "Just remember, I asked you to bring the Blood Disaster Flower here to keep it a secret. I don't want anyone else to know about this except you and here."

"Why should I agree to such an unreasonable request!" Arucado refused.

"Do I have to say it again, Arucado?" Elena touched his curly hair without hesitation, "Because I'm your sister, I trust you. And you must listen to your sister because only then are you a gentleman."

"What about Aunt?" Arucado countered, "She did this, I have to ask her about it!"

"It's no use, Arucado," Elena denied, "If she did it, she has a way to justify it. Just like Nini, would you think that Aunt sent Nini to my room to scare me to death?"

"Scare you to death?" Arucado looked puzzled, "But she's just a cute child..."

"But I'm just a human. A fragile human," Elena sighed, "If I hadn't tricked the Blood Baby into becoming my blood contractee last night, you would have found my corpse in my room this morning."

Arucado was stunned, then clenched his teeth silently: "Margaret..."

"Master! So you tricked Nini!!" The Blood Baby finally stopped circling around Elena and instead crossed her arms, pouted, and said angrily.

[Nini's affection for you -50]

Elena's lips twitched. It dropped again, and by so much?

"Or, Master, would you like to play hide-and-seek with me?" Elena tried to salvage the situation.

"Okay! Okay!" Nini clapped her hands happily and cheered, "Nini is best at hide-and-seek! Master, hide quickly, hide quickly! Nini has never lost at finding people!"

Elena nodded and smiled, but suddenly froze. "Nini, you said... you've never lost at finding people?" Elena bent down and said affectionately, "Don't lie, or I'll be angry."

Nini puffed out her little cheeks and said angrily, "If Nini lies, Nini will eat her beloved Tibbers!"

The toy bear in Nini's arms suddenly opened its mouth, as if sweating a drop of sweat.

Elena nodded in satisfaction: "Indeed, my Nini is the best."

Nini opened her terrifying mouth to express her joy.

"How far can Nini count?" Elena asked affectionately.

"Nini can count to ten!" Nini said proudly.

"Good. Then, I'm going to hide," Elena coaxed, "But I'll hide slowly. Nini, just count from one to a hundred here and then start looking, okay?"

Nini was stunned: "But I can't count to a hundred."

"Then count to ten ten times. Just give Master more time to hide," Elena suggested.

"Okay! The more hidden Master is, the more fun it is for Nini to find! Nini is so happy!"

[Nini's affection for you +1]

Elena: (╥╯^╰╥) Forget it, forget it. I won't save her. Let her be. "One, two,..."

With Nini's childish counting, Elena and Alucard left the room. When the two of them crossed the corridor and entered the auditorium, Elena couldn't help but glance at the seventh table, the seventh seat.

It was empty, no one was there. The other self had not yet appeared. No, He had always been there. It was just that she couldn't see Him now. And whenever she was abnormal, He would appear before her like a ghost.

Elena frowned and hurried towards her father's room! Alucard hesitated for a moment and followed closely behind. This time they arrived at her father's room a bit late. Fortunately, they didn't see the bald butler and her aunt. Apparently, according to the timeline, the two of them had already left her father's room by now.

"Dong, dong, dong." Elena politely knocked on the door.

"Didn't I say not to bother me anymore?"

"It's us, Father. Elena and Alucard," Elena replied.

After a moment, the door opened. A huge black-winged bat appeared, with a fierce look on its face.

Alucard was startled: "Why has Father transformed into bat form? Could it be that there's an enemy invasion?"

Elena's eyes welled up with tears: "Father is about to go out and find a new guest for me, right?"

The black-winged bat sighed but didn't plan to change back, although speaking like this made it seem very ungentlemanly. "Yes. Your lack of a guest will surely kill you, Elena. I must find a new guest to replace him for you," the huge bat said with a sharp mouth. "What do you want? If not, I must leave immediately. After all, there's not much time left until twelve o'clock."

"Thank you, Father. But you don't have to find a guest for me because I already have someone in mind, and I can invite him to be my new guest at any time," Elena said, holding onto one of the bat's sharp claws.

"You have someone in mind? Who is it?" the bat asked excitedly. "Good, good! If you invite the guest yourself, not only can the predicted disaster be averted, but the vampire power won't be weakened either!"

The bat spread its wings in excitement and hugged Elena tightly: "Tell me, Elena, who are you going to invite? Tell me, will he sincerely offer you his blessings?"

"For now, I can't reveal it, Father. But as for sincerity, I think nothing is more convincing than a contract," Elena said firmly.

The bat was stunned! "Contract... That's good, very good! But why can't you reveal who it is? Elena, you must understand that I have to ensure your ceremony is flawless!"

"Because the one hundredth guest who broke the promise still hasn't been dealt with. Before that, I don't want him to know anything about me. Otherwise, I'm afraid my life will be in danger," Elena said earnestly.

The bat was stunned again. "Do you mean you already know who the one hundredth guest is?"

Elena slowly raised her head, her blood-red eyes clear: "Yes, Father. The name of that missing one hundredth guest is - the Special Inviter of the Unsayable Word."

At that moment, the bat closed its eyes tightly and remained motionless for a long time. "That Special Inviter wasn't invited by Mother but was ordered by the Unsayable Word, having the special right to choose whether to 'accept' or 'decline' the ceremony invitation at any time. So, if we can't eliminate this Special Inviter, the disaster is bound to come."

Elena took a deep breath and said with reluctance: "Trust me, Father. It's not just my disaster, but ours! At that time, the entire vampire castle will be shrouded in eternal strangeness!"
