When we entered the basement, my heart started to beat faster, my legs and fingers got colder and a little numb, I tried to look serious but until yesterday, I was just an innocent guy that believed I was on top of the world with how "smart and mature" I think I was... I now question do I even gonna live today? or am I gonna be one of those people who just desire to eat others?
The fear and amount of questions led to me praying again, but meanwhile praying I remember what my father told me...

I know that I am born equally weak as everyone but someone has to break this, and for the sake of my friends safety, I must break it myself
We went downstairs for around 5 minutes now there are so many stairs and making us question what are they hiding there? after a little we saw a light, a torch actually.
"Our flashlights might die soon, take the torch Lukas" I grabbed the torch and we started on our way, we then saw another door but this it was actually guarded by someone, there was no place to hide
"Wait I have a plan" William grabbed the torch from me and look at both of us "I will try to make it look like torch just fell down, try not to make a sound we can't use our guns yet, when he arrives we took him out" I nodded but Evelina was looking scared "What if they still sees us? what if he attack us instantly?" William looked at the guard and Evelina "A part of me tells that they are actually not mindless, they are still human and will hesitate first if he ever sees us" Evelina sighed "I got no better plan..." I chuckled and muttered to myself "Thank god" Evelina hit me on the shoulder meanwhile William actually did a good job making the torch look like it fell off
Guard get up and yelled "Oh god damnit how many times this shit have to happen?" William looked at us smiling, I was actually impressed by how the plan worked out
but when the guy comes near he stopped for a second and said
"Do I smell... blood?" me and William was shocked but before we could even do anything Evelina get up and yelled
"Again!? you damn perverts!" and hit the guy so hard that it felled down, before the guy yelled to others me and William tried our best to shut the guy up
We looked at Evelina and we see her face covered in red and looked at us with anger and shame "You two have a problem with what just happened?"
Safe to say we just continue our road and finally entered the place with the key we got. Before we enter, Evelina touched William's shoulder and said "You are right, he is indeed a cannibal thing but for some reason they still feel human, react like one, does not have powers, they are still human with desire to eat humans now... I wonder, do they really wanna do it?" we both looked at Evelina and I replied "Even if that's the case, they are a threat to humanity itself, do not think about what they feel, think about what they are capable of doing... they ate Sander and maybe Steve too and who knows maybe us in the near future, do not allow the enemy to trick you with his own weakness" Evelina was kinda confused and a bit emotional but she nodded meanwhile William chuckled and said "Damn, L. Didn't knew you had any leader skills"

We opened the door and we saw a lot different place, the entire place looks like an hospital but covered with mattreses
"Looks like some Asylum" William muttered, there are lot of rooms around and lot of doors, we kinda afraid that there might be many monsters lurking around. The place was too big that I pointed different places
"Okay, we need to split because we don't have any choice-"before I can finish my sentence Evelina rushed "Alone? Split? Choice? I am not sure, no no I am very sure... Hell no!" I let out an annoyed sigh and look at William
"Fine, I will go with her but still Evelina is right for one thing, if something bad happens you are on your own..." I looked around and said "We are not safe together either, splitting up at least will show us where the enemy might come"
We all nodded and for some reason Evelina hugged me, it was surprising and she said "Please do not die out there" I nodded and me and others split up
From now on... it's just me
I started to walk around places and after some time, I entered a place where the place is no longer filled with matresses but with wood, I finally got brave enough to enter one of the rooms, luckily enough it seems like an office, I opened a wardrobe and find some papers, before I could read some, I heard some noises coming from outside, before I could even think I hide one of the lockers inside the office
And to my unfortunate it was Anna itself, and there is a guy on a wheelchair, I am not able to see it but they started to talk
Anna was the first to speak "It tooked longer than I expected" the man chuckled "Our Mother's knows when the time is right, and right now we have nearly entire planet on our hand, Riga will be the first castle" Anna sighed and asked "So what's next? the entire Military is out there and I don't have enough loyal people out there, they do not follow our mother yet only blood" The man asked "How many?" surprisingly Anna started to stutter? "It's... less than an hundred" I heard the guy getting up and slap Anna "You want to fail our Mother?" Anna yelled "Wait! Wait! I promise, more will follow our beautiful mother... b-but you also promised me they-" Before Anna could respond the man get Anna up and there were some silent for a moment I thought they realized I am here, I put my gun to a point where I would shoot the first person that opens this door but after that the man sit on wheelchair again and left the room, Anna sit on the chair again and started to cry, and I waited for 2 minutes for the man to leave more and it was that moment I left the locker
"I don't want to add more to your pain-" Anna immedately upped from the chair but she stopped when she saw I am already pointing my gun
"I actually planned to kill you without even listening to you and I probably will regret not killing you here, but my desire for questions is getting the better at me"
She looked so shocked she could only say "How... no, no, no... Why did you get here?"
I looked at Anna deeply and said
"I came to this hell just for Steve... but now I want answers"
