Chapter 14 - 14- Seeking Accountability? A Swordsmanship Duel

After Amora left, Erin finally suppressed her anger.

The thought that the famous Enchantress might target Aaron made her feel agitated.

Aaron was just a newbie learning magic. No matter how talented he was, even surpassing her in illusion magic in just one day, he had too little time studying and was too young.

Facing Amora, a master of psychic charm, there was almost no chance of resistance.

Of course, this wasn't about force. No matter how bold Amora was, she wouldn't dare attack a magic genius in Asgard.

What Erin worried about was that Amora might use her charm magic to bewitch Aaron.

She could exploit his magical talents to do something irreversible.

Aaron was too young, had no exposure to psychic powers, and was a young man.

He'd have no defense against the mature and alluring Amora!

She couldn't let this happen!

Not to mention a young man—with Amora's mastery of charm magic, there were probably only a handful of men in Asgard who could truly resist her.

Thinking of this, Erin couldn't sit still and ran to find Aaron.

At this moment,

Aaron didn't encounter Amora but was blocked by several people in the academy.

Sif pretended to be angry and asked, "Aaron, I think you should explain to us what happened with that illusion last night."

"We actually drank and chatted for hours with a ball of energy!" Thor nodded in agreement, "Yes, yes, you don't treat us as friends."

Loki, meanwhile, looked at Aaron with a critical eye.

He still couldn't believe that a beginner could surpass him in illusion magic on the first day of learning.

He didn't mind teasing Thor, but he'd been deceived too.

Didn't that mean he was as foolish as Thor?

Could he tolerate this?

When had he ever been so humiliated?

Though Sif and the others looked like they were accusing him, Aaron knew it was all pretense.

Still, an apology was due. After all, they were friends, and he had deceived them first.

"Okay, I'll treat you all to drinks sometime. I'm really sorry about yesterday."

At the mention of drinks, Thor couldn't help but smile.

But Sif glared at him fiercely, and he immediately swallowed the words that were about to escape his throat.

Still, he winked at Aaron, signaling him not to forget the promise of treating them, while indicating he was powerless at the moment.

Sif then glanced at Fandral.

Fandral nodded and said, "Aaron, I heard you've been practicing magic since you got back. Could it be that you've neglected the basic training of a warrior?"

"We don't object to you learning magic, but as an excellent Asgardian warrior, you mustn't forget daily training."

"Why don't I test your swordsmanship and see the results of your recent practice?"

Hearing this, Thor was visibly stunned for a moment, then whispered, "It seems this wasn't what we discussed. Fandral's swordsmanship is the strongest among us. Aaron…"

Sif said nothing.

Fandral gave Thor a helpless smile.

This was something they'd come up with on the spur of the moment and hadn't told Thor.

They were worried Thor would forget the plan over a few drinks.

And the facts proved it—Thor had come close to "betraying" them.

If Sif hadn't acted quickly, they'd all be on their way to the reception again.

This temporary plan wasn't meant to punish Aaron.

They just wanted to use this chance to remind Aaron that, as a warrior, he mustn't neglect training.

After all, Aaron's magical talent was so strong that he deceived them all, including Loki, in one day.

If Aaron focused solely on magic in the future and abandoned warrior training, they'd lose a comrade to fight alongside.

After all, the Three Warriors and Sif still subconsciously believed warriors were the true path, far stronger than mages.

Hearing this, Aaron raised an eyebrow and gave a meaningful smile.

In fact, after upgrading his swordsmanship, he'd wanted to find time to spar with Fandral to see how strong LV4 swordsmanship was.

It would also be a good horizontal comparison to magic at the same level.

Fandral bringing it up now suited him perfectly.

"Okay, let's try it!"

Aaron reached out and summoned a longsword from thin air. With his knowledge of space storage magic, he could easily store long and short weapons. He usually kept weapons and everyday items in the space, ready to pull them out to fight at any time.

The magic cost was negligible.

It had to be said—space storage magic was quite useful.

Seeing this, Loki's pupils shrank.

Another new magic!

How many magics had Aaron learned in one day?

Though he hadn't discussed magic with Aaron, Loki already felt a sense of urgency.

If he didn't do something, the title of the most talented mage of this generation would change hands.

Even his own mastery of magic might be surpassed by Aaron in every way!

For the first time, Loki wondered why he hadn't seized the time to learn magic before. Now, Aaron's rise left him panicked and thoroughly mocked!

Not far away,

Amora, who had left Erin and was about to "discuss" magic with Aaron, also witnessed this scene.

Her eyes had initially lit up upon seeing Aaron.

But then she saw Thor and the others approaching and stopped immediately.

"Thor… Loki… Sif!"

"Troublesome bunch!"

Though Amora was a master of psychic magic, she wasn't sure she could charm the God of Thunder.

While Thor hadn't learned magic, he wielded the power of thunder and had extreme resistance to magic.

Then there was Loki, a mage. In Amora's eyes, though Loki knew many magics, they were relatively superficial and not worth worrying about.

Still, he was Frigga's student.

She wasn't confident she could charm him either.

Beyond those two, the real trouble was Sif, who, despite being relatively weaker, was the hardest to deal with.

Because she was a woman.

And the most powerful female warrior of her generation.

Amora was certain Sif wasn't into women.

Her methods would be completely useless against Sif.

"Wait a bit… You'll never escape my grasp."

Seeing this, Amora had to observe secretly, not daring to approach rashly.

It would be bad if she aroused their suspicion.

As Amora pondered, Aaron and Fandral had already begun their duel.
