The silence of space was broken again by shockwaves of fists colliding.
Nolan's arm blurred through the void, slamming into Battle Beast's side. The alien warrior grunted, his armor cracking slightly, but his grin never left. He responded with a brutal backhand, sending Omni-Man spiraling toward a nearby asteroid.
Nolan caught himself mid-spin, flipped, and launched toward the beast with a roar.
CRACK!
Their heads collided, neither backing down.
Back on Earth, the sky shimmered every few seconds with distant flashes of blue and gold. It was like a thunderstorm in orbit. Mark, Naruto, Sasuke, and the others stood outside, watching the sky light up with raw power.
"He's really fighting that guy... in space," Mark murmured.
Sasuke narrowed his eyes. "He's holding back."
Naruto looked at him. "Who? Battle Beast?"
"No," Sasuke said. "Omni-Man."
In Space
Battle Beast came swinging with his mace now, Nolan having given permission earlier. The massive weapon glowed with unknown energy, and when it hit, even Nolan felt the sting. A strike to the chest sent him flying through a chunk of space debris, reducing it to dust.
"You bleed!" Battle Beast bellowed. "You fall! You feel pain!"
Nolan wiped blood from his mouth, floating back into range. "So do you."
With a burst of speed, Nolan hit Battle Beast with a flurry of blows — stomach, chest, jaw, shoulder, throat. Then he grabbed the beast's arm and spun him, launching him into the orbit of the moon.
Battle Beast landed feet-first, leaving a crater in the moon's surface.
He looked up with a growl and leapt off the surface, heading straight back.
BOOM.
The two clashed again mid-space. Blasts of force lit up the sky.
From Earth, they were meteors. Gods in the heavens, tearing each other apart.
At Cecil's Base
Technicians scrambled as readings spiked.
"He's… keeping up with Battle Beast," one agent whispered.
"No," Cecil muttered, eyes glued to the screen. "He's beating him."
Back in Battle
Nolan caught Battle Beast's arm, twisted it, and slammed him into a frozen comet. The impact shattered the rock, fragments glimmering like stardust.
Battle Beast coughed, blood floating in slow, red orbs around him. He looked up, smiling through broken teeth.
"You… are more than they said."
Nolan hovered, breathing steadily. "I told you. I gave up conquering. But if you threaten my home…"
He darted forward and punched Battle Beast so hard the sound reached Earth like distant thunder.
"…I will end you."
Battle Beast finally staggered back, floating limp, defeated… but still conscious. His mace drifted beside him.
He grinned. "Worthy."
Nolan floated there, waiting. But Battle Beast didn't move.
The fight was over.
