Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Automatic Cultivation System

Douluo Continent – Tiandou Empire

As dawn broke over Shenghun Village, the soft glow of the morning light began to spread across the rooftops. Suddenly, a figure fell from the sky and landed gently on the roof of a small wooden house.

A pale fish-belly light shimmered on the horizon, casting a soft halo around the figure. It was a young boy, dressed in a plain white shirt, his short hair neat and face clean. Despite his youth, his delicate features and sharp eyes hinted at an extraordinary presence.

Ye Chen sat up slowly and took a deep breath. "Wow... the air here is so fresh. There's a faint grassy scent... it feels like I've returned to childhood."

[System Notification: The host's thoughts are correct. According to the timeline of this world, you've been reincarnated into a 6-year-old body.]

Ye Chen blinked. "Wait, what? Did you just say I'm six years old?!"

[Affirmative.]

His jaw dropped. "System, what the hell?! Are you messing with me right now?"

[Reply: The system has no maternal origin to be insulted.]

"You're seriously trying to troll me? I didn't come here for sightseeing! And now I'm a kid? What kind of messed-up isekai setup is this?"

Just as Ye Chen was about to throw a fit, the system interrupted.

[Identity: Orphan – Ye Family, Shenghun Village]

Ye Chen's brows twitched. "An orphan too? Damn... this system really wants me to have the full tragic background, huh?"

[Reminder: Please read the system's instructions before confirming the binding.]

A red-lit screen appeared in front of him, displaying the system's description:

[Automatic Cultivation System: Allows the host to cultivate automatically without manual effort. Continuous growth without active training.]

Ye Chen's eyes lit up. "Wait... what? Auto cultivation? Like... I can just lie around and get stronger? No need for endless meditation and fighting?"

A smile crept across his face. "Now that's what I'm talking about. This system is made for me!"

"Confirm binding!"

[Binding complete.]

A warm, subtle current surged from his dantian and began flowing through his body along a unique pathway. It was gentle yet invigorating—almost like a soft massage running through his meridians.

Ye Chen chuckled. "It's actually happening. I'm cultivating... without doing anything!"

[Ding! The host is recognized as a novice. Would you like to receive your beginner's gift package?]

Ye Chen's eyes widened. "A gift too?! Hell yeah, give it to me!"

[Gift package received. Would you like to open it now?]

"Open it!"

[Congratulations! You've obtained:

– 2 Spirit Ring Selection Tokens (500–2000 years)

– 1x Space Ring (10m capacity)]

A white flash dropped from the sky, and a plain black ring appeared in Ye Chen's hand. He quickly slid it onto his index finger, and a faint glow shimmered on the band.

Outside, the village had begun to stir with life.

"I'll deal with the spirit rings later," Ye Chen muttered. He climbed off the roof, eager to explore the world of Douluo for himself.

Just as his feet touched the ground, a voice called out behind him.

"Ye Chen! Come on, the village chief is taking us to awaken our martial souls!"

Ye Chen turned and saw a familiar young boy running toward him.

"Xiao San!" he called out with a smile.

According to the identity given by the system, Ye Chen had grown up in Shenghun Village, relying on help from neighbors and forming close friendships—especially with Tang San.

Dressed in a blue robe, Tang San's calm demeanor was already present, even at this young age.

"It's time already?" Ye Chen asked.

Tang San nodded. "Didn't we agree yesterday? Let's go!"

Together, they jogged toward Village Chief Old Jack, who stood ahead with a group of kids. Eight or nine children, all over six years old, were walking toward the Spirit Hall at the edge of the village.

The building stood taller than most village homes, clearly more important.

Old Jack gestured proudly at a handprint on the worn stone pedestal outside. "Children, this was left by a Soul Saint from our village. A symbol of our glory!"

The kids listened with mixed awe and boredom—most had heard this tale countless times.

Suddenly, a figure landed lightly on the ground from the rooftop of the Spirit Hall.

His coat bore a badge with three long swords—signifying his rank as a Great Soul Master and a Battle Soul Master from Spirit Hall.

"Welcome, honorable Battle Soul Master. We appreciate your presence," Old Jack said, bowing respectfully.

The young man nodded slightly. "I don't have much time. Let's begin."

After a quick self-introduction, Su Yuntao arranged six black stones in a hexagonal formation and began the awakening ritual.

Ye Chen and Tang San stood at the back, watching intently. One by one, the children went forward—most awakened with basic tools like sickles or hoes, and none had any soul power.

Ye Chen shifted uncomfortably. I grew up breathing polluted air and eating processed junk... can I even have soul power?

"The last two. Who's going first?" Su Yuntao asked.

Tang San stepped forward. "I'll go."

He turned to Ye Chen with a nod and stepped into the formation.

A golden glow lit up the hall.

Su Yuntao's eyes widened. "Martial soul—Blue Silver Grass... and... Innate Full Soul Power?!"

Tang San's result stunned the room, though Su Yuntao quickly frowned.

"Such a shame. A full soul power wasted on a useless martial soul like Blue Silver Grass... what a waste."

He shook his head and began packing up.

"Wait!" Tang San interrupted. "Master Soul Master, my friend hasn't awakened his martial soul yet!"

Su Yuntao blinked, then glanced at Ye Chen. "Oh? I thought we were done."

His voice lacked enthusiasm—it was rare for a village to even have one talented child.

Ye Chen stepped forward, his heart racing slightly. What will my martial soul be?

He entered the awakening circle, eyes filled with expectation...
