The stylist did come and I had to leave Ezekiel. And by leaving I mean sneaking because Miss Tammy has been lurking around this part of the house. I don't know what she is looking for. I hope it is not me. Ezekiel made her go downstairs so I could sneak out of his office. He saw me off with a kiss and a pat on my ass.
I go down the stairs she fix myself just before I come into view. I used my phone's screen to give myself a once over and walked into the living room.
The stylist is a beautiful blank woman that looks like she belongs on the front page of Vogue. She is sitting on one of the chairs wearing a pair of Versace pants and a beautiful baby pink long sleeved satin shirt. Her heels are a pair of Me Dolly Louboutin shoes. Her makeup is on point and I feel inadequate and self conscious in her presence.
She stands up as soon as she sees me.
"Hello Mrs Elrod." She says with a wide smile. I open my mouth to correct her but I shut it right up. Word can get around to Levi if anyone knows my real last name so it is better to keep us this Mrs Elrod facade.
"Hi…"
"Shanumi. You can call me Shanumi." She holds her hand out to me for a handshake.
"Hi Shanumi." I take her hand.
"Okay. So Mr Elrod contacted me and said you need a few dinner dresses but said you would not be able to make it to the store. So I said say no more and I brought the entire boutique to you. You know if the Mohammed cannot go to the mountain, the mountain will come to Mohammed." She winks at me.
She claps twice and some people wearing black on black rolling in dress racks. When she said she brought the boutique to me, she was not joking. There are seven dress racks in this living room. So much for wanting to hide from Miss Tammy. Speaking of Miss Tammy, I can't find her anywhere.
"Okay, let's start. What are we going for?"
Two hours of trying and modelling dresses later, I got five dresses, three pairs of shoes and three bags. I was not even aware of the extras.
She helps me pack my dresses and escorts the Calvary outside. That was exhausting and Shanumi runs a very tight ship. She was not playing. I took my things upstairs to my room and after three trips, I was able to get them all.
I go to Ezekiel's office and as I am about to turn the knob, I pause. He is probably busy and I will see him tonight, maybe interrupting him now is not a very good idea. But on a second thought, it would not speak well if I wait till the dinner to thank him for the dresses. I have to thank him now. It won't be okay to say it over the phone either. It is tacky. I will tell him face to face.
I turn the knob and step into the office and he looks up. His face brightens up and he gives me his heart stopping smile. He opens his arms and I step into it. He pulls me down to his lap and inhales my scent.
"You were gone for too long." He whines.
"It was just two hours."
"Hmm hmm two hours too long." He mutters.
"Thank you."
"Oh please. Were you able to make a choice?"
"Yes I was. It is beautiful." I already know which of those dresses I am wearing tonight.
"So can I see?"
"No."
"Why?"
"It is a surprise, you will see tonight. Be patient."
"When it comes to you, my patience flies out the window." He puts his hand under my shirt and rubs my bareback. This action makes goosebumps erupt on my skin.
"Shouldn't you get back to work?"
"Tired of me already?"
"No. But I heard Micheal complaining that you are slacking on work. I don't want to be the reason for that. And you can't be slacking on work when we are trying to keep a low profile. Also, where is Miss Tammy? I didn't see her throughout."
"I sent her somewhere." Oh? Did he do that because of me?
"Okay. Get back to work." I make to stand up from his lap but he pulls me back down and keeps his arm wrapped around my waist. I look at him but he is not looking at me. He keeps working on his laptop with one hand while keeping the other wrapped around my waist.
I bring out my new phone and start setting it up. I don't use Samantha Anniston but instead use Sammy Elrod just in case Levi has some weird technology that can trace cloud usernames.
I stay on his laps for hours and he never once complained a boy being uncomfortable but instead adjust me till I am comfortable. I even fall asleep on his lap and when I wake up, he is still working.
"Hello sleeping beauty." He places a kiss on my forehead.
"Hi. I should have slept on the sofa."
"And I should have missed out on holding you? No way." I smile and be smiles back.
"What time are we going?"
"Around 8."
I check the time on my phone and it is twenty eight minutes past five.
"I need to go and prepare."
"Do you have to? Stay with me a little longer."
"I don't want to delay us."
"Fine." He releases me reluctantly but now without peppering my face with kisses.
I go to my room and put my dress on the bed. I undress and go to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and take a very hot shower. I moisturise my body properly because the dress is kind of revealing and the last thing I want is my exposed parts looking ashy.
I put on makeup, not too much but not too subtle either. I go for a red lipstick because the dress is red too. I put on the dress I fall in love all over again with it.
It is a long beautiful one shoulder cut out gown with a long slit on the right side that shows my very moisturised legs. I opt for a black clutch and a pair of open toe stiletto heels. I spray my perfumes and after admiring myself in the mirror, I head out.
Ezekiel already texted me that he's downstairs and I head to the stairs. Halfway through, I see him at the bottom looking breathtaking in his black three piece suit. His shirt is white and has a few buttons undone because he is not wearing a tie. He looks like a god. He is staring at me with a look I don't recognise. He is staring so hard that I start to feel self conscious.
"Ezekiel?" I call out to him with a frown on my face.
"S…Sammy?"
