"Then let's go together!" Ryuji replied.
"Really? Senior! Um, please take care of me from now on. My name is Tanjiro Kamado, you can just call me Tanjiro!" Tanjiro was obviously surprised that Ryuji would go with him. This made Tanjiro excited. With Ryuji joining them, Nezuko would be much safer.
"Ryuji." Ryuji looked at Tanjiro and replied calmly.
After that, Ryuji accompanied Tanjiro to find a place to bury his deceased family. Tanjiro, with Nezuko, offered a simple prayer. Ryuji waited quietly in the distance, not wanting to disturb the two siblings.
Tanjiro's family was very ordinary. His father died early due to illness when Tanjiro was still young. The family relied on his mother and eldest son, Tanjiro, to support them. But now, such an ordinary family was shattered in an instant. The only surviving sibling, Nezuko, had become a demon.
Although Nezuko wouldn't actively eat people now, it couldn't change the fact that she had become a demon.
These things were all told to Ryuji by the kind-hearted Tanjiro while Ryuji was helping him dig a grave. Ryuji didn't discuss his family with Tanjiro too much. He just listened silently as Tanjiro talked about his beautiful memories.
After doing all this, Tanjiro pulled his sister to Ryuji. He carefully looked at Ryuji, who was wearing his father's clothes, and couldn't help but feel touched. He said, "Senior Ryuji, you look just like my father in this."
Hearing this, Ryuji was startled and said angrily, "Tanjiro, what are you talking about?"
Tanjiro smiled and explained, "You're wearing my father's clothes, so I feel like my father has come back to life."
"Can't you find other clothes for me?" Ryuji looked up and down at his clothes, wishing he could take them off right now.
However, thinking about how that wouldn't be good, Ryuji had no choice.
"My clothes are too small, and my brother's clothes are even more out of the question. Only my father's fit you. What? Senior Ryuji, are you disgusted by my father's clothes?" Tanjiro continued.
Knowing that he couldn't change clothes, Ryuji could only stop insisting. After all, it was impossible to be naked in this snowy mountain!
Seeing that Tanjiro misunderstood him as being disgusted, Ryuji explained, "No, no, it's just that your father's clothes... it's not very good for me to wear them."
Tanjiro thought about it and felt it wasn't appropriate either. He said, "We really don't have any other clothes at home. I'll figure something out when we get to the outside."
Ryuji didn't want to dwell on this anymore, so he urged, "Let's get going now that we're done!"
After that, the two humans and one demon set off on their journey to Mount Fujikasane to find Sakonji Urokodaki.
To be able to travel during the day, Tanjiro went to the nearby villagers to get a bamboo basket.
"Senior, I'm back!" Tanjiro returned to the place where Ryuji and Nezuko were resting. Ryuji was currently sitting cross-legged outside a cave. Seeing Tanjiro return, he simply replied calmly, "You're back."
Tanjiro nodded. Ryuji glanced at the leaky bamboo basket Tanjiro had brought back and said, "Tanjiro, this bamboo basket isn't going to work. It's all leaky! Demons really dislike sunlight."
