Magic. Perhaps the most popular yet least understood resource on the planet. It's origins remain a mystery although theories of its creation and purpose in the world are plenty.
While the origins of magic itself remain mysterious there isn't a single person who would doubt the person most influential in its establishment as an integral of part of society as it stands. A figure known simply as the the first wizard.
He is widely recognized as the singular force that introduced magic to humanity with some even crediting him with its very creation. To combat the legions of monsters, demons and warlocks that serve the dark one, the ruler of the realm of death, magic became the lynchpin for humanities defence against untold evils.
But much of this is in the past. The ancient battles of time immemorial where the first wizard and his desciples led the charge to banish the dark ones forces have long gone by with the world ever altered in its wake.
It is this world full of magic and wonder that I chose to explore...
