Daphne and Lauren were on their way to their office when they were stopped by someone.
" Ms Windsor, Ms Harper." The man said with a smile on his face and enthusiasm.
" Mr Wilton." Lauren and Daphne acknowledged him with respect.
" May I steal Daphne for a minute or two?" The man said suddenly, surprising the two ladies.
" Sure." Lauren said then gave a look to Daphne, who returned the same look, then left.
" So, do you need something from me? A task you want me to handle?" Daphne asked immediately, because she was curious about why Mr Wilton wanted to speak to her.
" You know, ever since you started reporting directly to the boss, you have not been coming around anymore. I don't even see in person anymore." Mr Wilton said with a tinge of humor in his tone.
But Daphne did not find it funny.
" You don't request for me to do anything for you, so maybe we have not been seeing each other."
" But still, I am the manager of your department come check up on me some time." Mr Wilton said with a smile.
Daphne smiled back, Mr Wilton was just being himself. He was just the enthusiastic type.
" I will, since you have brought it to my notice." Daphne said with humor being intended, and Mr Wilton laughed with a smile.
They both exchanged pleasantries and went opposite ways.
Daphne walked off and went straight and turn at an intersection.
" What is the date?" Someone asked out if the blue which startled Daphne.
Oh it was Lauren.
" Lauren, I have told you not to do things like that to me....also, what date?" Daphne asked confused, what was her friend talking about?
" The date you and Silas are going on." Lauren said with a matter of fact tone.
" We are not going on a date, he didn't ask anything relating to that?" Daphne said then face palmed herself. A date?
" Really? Then why was he smiling like that?" Lauren said while wiggling her brows, suggesting the obvious.
" It's Wilton, Lauren. He smiles at everyone."
" Yes, but this was a tad bit wider." Lauren said with enthusiasm and curiosity. She saw how Wilton looked at Daphne, so why was Daphne trying to make it seem like she didn't see was Lauren was talking about. After all, the man was smiling like a kid who had gotten the best present on Christmas day.
" Lauren, it's nothing serious. Please stop saying this. " Daphne said with awkwardness. She did not really like it when she was shipped with someone.
Especially someone she didn't like.
" Okay, okay let's head our way." Lauren said and pulled Daphne's trousers and dragged her along with her.
Daphne and Lauren chatted for a bit in Daphne's office, while Daphne was trying to clean up the early morning mess. Time had gone by a bit when an announcement sounded from the speakers.
" Announcement, by 3:00 sharp, all workers are expected to be present at the open conference room. It is not an optional meeting,so all workers must be present." The announcement went on for about five minutes while Daphne and Lauren looked at each other with confusion.
Daphne removed the gloves she was wearing to help her to get more allowance to clean her cabinet and placed it on her desk. She went to were her phone was and picked it up.
2:50pm
What was going on? It was going to be held in the open conference room, so that means it was brought up the CEO and vice CEO.
Was something going on? Daphne pondered while staring at Lauren.
" Do you have an idea about this?" Daphne asked with inquisition. Lauren always knew about the updates about the company, so she felt Lauren had an idea.
" I don't, but let us get to the conference room first. So that we won't be late." Lauren said then grabbed her phone and Daphne's then Daphne held her hand and they left the office.
Daphne and Lauren arrived the conference room and saw the similar look of confusion on everyone's faces.
The open conference room was kind of like an auditorium to be able to accommodate everyone.
As everyone fixed themselves down somewhere, Lauren looked for the best area that they would see the stage clearly and pointed it out for Daphne so that they would go there and sit.
Daphne made themselves comfortable on their seats and looked forward so that they could not miss out on anything.
A man on a grey coat walked into the auditorium on the stage.
Everyone stood up as a sign of respect.
The man sat down on the chair that was reserved for him.
Another man walked into the auditorium this time wearing a black coat and wearing glasses walked in and sat next to the previous man.
They both had name tags in from of them.

Everyone sat down and held their breath waiting for what they had to say.
