Ben stands there looking. The once tall and sturdy tree now laying in two on the ground. "Holly shit, I just did that." He looks down to his hands, a shocked expression rolls over his face. What was left of the guard's already crumbling swords is now nothing more then dust. He comes down out of shock and scans the decilite area for anything more he could use as a weapon.
Attached to the gaurd's waist is a small dagger. It's in a much better condition then the sword, and has a small mark at the base of the handle. Ben picks it up feeling the rough shap of the handle and swings it a few times.
"This should be good enough for now. I need to find out more about these people. The window says there from another world. I don't know if there all strong but the one early cut down a row of trees with just one swing of his sword. IT said they were other players, but I don't even know what that means"
As Ben was think, a sudden and loud crash echoed in front of him.
"Get a move one, find those damn masters before the time runs out".
A man stands on a pedestal in front of a mixed group of other people. All dressed in there deep black and blue attire. Standing tall next to the speaker is the man Ben saw on the road earlier. "This world is the smallest and weakest we have seen yet, why is it so hard for you dimwits to locate a few
Ben decides to hide behind the old broken down wagon on the side of the road. He overhears a few men in the back talking about how the wall took them 5 bays to blow through cause of the constant attacks from creatures outside. One of the men says to the other "I just hope we get out of here before that on beast comes back. Not even boss could get a good lick in on that thing." "I know it was like it had skin of dimonds, we were lucky to even get inside the walls since it only ran away cause of the bombs, but some of the smaller ones will probably come pouring soon. Not like we will be here when they do". As the men keep bantering about there experiences in this world. Ben can't help but hope Kate and the others are allright.
"I need to find the masters before they do, or worse, before any of those monsters come back. Maybe those guards weren't full of shit about what's outside the walls after all."
Throw the crack of one of the wheels he sees a few stragglers being slow as the speaker and the rest of the men start to disperse. When the last one is about to leave Ben throws a stone against a nearby tree. As the man comes over to check what the strange noise was Ben loops around the cart as quietly as possible. Before the man could make a sound he help the dagger up to his neck.
"Don't move" Ben said with and angry tone.
"Ha now, no need for that" the man said slowly putting his hands in the air.
"Name, what's your name, and who are you people"
"Oh.. uh. I'm jack, and I'm with the Triumph guild". The Man said, now scared witles.
"Where are you from, and why are you killing all these people". Ben said, now riething in anger.
"I'm from Ohio, and what do you mean…Don't you have the conquer quest too."
"Of course not, my windo thing say protect." Ben says with a confused but angry tone.
"Shit, your one of them"
"Just tell me about what your doing here and I might let you go"
"Ok. Ok, just don't kill me. We're from the world Earth, and we get quest for invasion through the system. To be honest not many of us like them, but if we don't successfully invade another world we turn into the target."
"Ok, but I heard you guys have to finish it within an amount of time. How much do you have left"
"Well it's not a system time limit per say. We just have to get out of here before the Titan gets back"
"What do you mean Titan"
"This is your world. How do you not know what your worlds Titan is? Nevermind. Look, Long story short Titans protect the worlds and as soon as we crossed over it started looking for us. Your damn creature filled forest prevented us from getting away so we just blew a hole in the wall to get in and scare the damn thing off."
"Then how much time do you have till that thing and all the monsters in the forest get here"
"Hours probably, maybe minutes. I don't know but it's soon. Your damn Masters are preventing us from leaving too."
As Jack speaks, Ben looks over to the broken part of the wall. The rising sun giving a false sense of safety. Suddenly he sees a tree fall in the distance. Ben, now noticing something wrong, turns Jack twords the forest. Jacks eyes widen as soon as another tree falls. One by one in a straight line twords them trees start falling down. The ground starts quaking under there feet, the trees closest to them start shaking. Leaves fall to the ground from the tree, then back up again as the ground quakes.
"Thats your Titan. You want to stay and get acquainted or not. Cause I don't think he's here for a play date" Jack says sarcastically with a shaky voice.
"Shut it dumbass it's after you not me"
"Maybe that's true but the thousands of annoying masters under it don't give a shit where you come from"
Ben, now frustrated and over, it quickly looks for a hidding place. He runs to the nearby temple. Broken down as it is, it's stil probably better then out here.
Ben drags Jack to the entrance and lets the nice off his neck to close the colossal door that blocks the entrance
"Help me pre we're both dead"
Jack reluctantly helps out. He grabs the edge of the door and pushes with all his strength. The door swing closed. Ben grabs the big block of wood used to barricade the door and slides it into place.
"That should be good, but now we're stuck in here together. I have to find a way out so either shut up and help, or do your own thing I don't care"
"What if I divide to grab that knife there and stab you" Jack says.
"Then you would be an idiot" Ben says grabbing a near by piece of wood.
The two look at each other. The building shaking around them as the thousands of beasts runs over the temple.
"Fine, I don't want to die here anyway" Jack says giving Ben the knife. "I use my hands more anyway"
"Glad you're not an idiot, now help me look for a way out."
