Tina fought like hell—at first.
Two days without food had left her weak. And now the kitchen knife skittered across the floor, out of reach. Jake's weight pinned her down, her legs the last line of defense.
Then... she stopped fighting.
Jake collapsed beside her, gasping. Jesus, I'm out of shape. It shouldn't take this much effort to overpower one starving woman.
But the real shock?
"Wait… you were a virgin?" He'd assumed a pretty girl in a luxury condo was some rich guy's mistress.
Silence. Just Tina's muffled sobs into her knees.
Her first time—stolen by a stranger in the middle of the goddamn apocalypse.
Jake, ever the charmer, tried to lighten the mood. "Hey, at least I'm clean. Better than some CEO with a side of herpes, right?"
Tina's tear-stained glare could've melted steel.
Then he played his trump card:
"Zombies outside. No food. No water." His hand slid up her thigh. "Say yes, and I'll keep you alive."
A choice? Please.
When he stood to leave, her fingers caught his wrist.
"Stay."
Survival won.
