Chapter 1 - The Angel Of Death is A Human

Chapter 1

Authors thoughts at age 13....

Some people are born stupid, some wise. Some people are an adult at age 12. Some people never grow up. Some people don't live good lives, Some people don't know how to enjoy life. And some people, believe it or not, have magical abilities. Some people are victims to those with magical abilities. But there's one thing that even the angels have in common. No two of anything are exactly the same. Father and son may share blood, twins may share thoughts... But the simple fact that we have separate bodies proves that we are not one. When I drink water, it is only me who drinks. When you eat, only you are eating. As an adult was once a child and had to grow up, so was I a child and had to grow up. But just as sunlight helps plants grow, and midnight is when the moon shines its brightest, or just as the same mango tastes better ripe than rotten,... A slight difference in time and era, a new trend... It's like the difference between being born when the horse and buggy were used, and now, a hundred years later. A simple influence is all that's needed to change one's life drastically, whether it be for good or bad. Our lives are in no means the same, for if the season was always the same, and the sun was always out... If every apple put forth the exact same apple, if every book read the same words. Then why should there be more than one? If all thoughts are the same, why does mis- communication exist? Why did we both buy the same car, but mine outlasted yours?

Because in the end, there can only be one, there can only be one of everything, replica or not. There will only ever be one me, there will only ever be one you, one god. It's the rule of one. There is one God who's one law we must follow. There's only one me, with one life I must live. One earth. In the beginning, there was but one male, and one female, but after a transgression, me and you exist an uncountable number away, but even still, the rule of one exists in this way: Things that there are more than one of are one, because they are not the other.

My thoughts are not your thoughts, my ways are not your ways, but they can be made known, arid so they can multiply, just like Adam and Eve, who were before only a thought, but became reality, and then came us. I am a god of my own domain just as you are. I say all of this to say this: An adult was not meant to be compared to a child, just as a child was not meant to be compared to a baby, and the baby not to its Mother. Just as the Almighty does not expect for me to take his place, I do not expect for any human to understand me, and my magical power. I hope you do not expect for me to understand you and your magical power either.

Remember this: The is indeed a reason why we are different people, and have different brains and souls, Or do you really think that your life is anything like mine? You are indeed, very naive person, and I can only hope that you learn that we may be close, but unless I truthfully tell you about myself, we're so far away.

December 7, 2015. Eli woke from his slumber at 5:00 AM, for that was the usual time that his eyes would open, alerting him of the start of a new day. The handsome four-teen-year-old-boy, whose figure was medium, yet fit, with his brown eyes and skin, with short, tightly curled hair. He was not tall, nor was he short, at a height of 5'4.

His personality was that of a care-free young man who believed in fun and hard work. But on this day, the second he opened his eyes, his life would change forever, never to be the same.

Eli slowly opened his eyes, and at the same time, he wondered why he smelled flowers, and why his bed was so hard, and also why the sun shone so brightly on his face. In fact, the sun shone so brightly, that he dared not to open his eyes while he was laying down, which made him sit up and rub away the strain from them.

"Gosh dang it!", Eli said, "Why is the sunlight shining so brightly in my face?! I know I closed the curtains last night."

When Eli Finaly opened his eyes, he thought that they must be playing tricks on him.

"Excuse me?!"

Like a famous piece of artwork, Eli looked to all his sides, where all he saw was a vast field of flowers that stretched for miles, then a mature deciduous forest with freshly sprouted young leaves, and behind that, a towering and very intimidating snowy mountain range, with the sun resting on its peak.

'So many flowers', Eli thought. Roses and tulips, daisies and violets, dandelions and cosmos, and so much more. There Eli was, in the middle of the flower field, he had not moved when he awakened, and he was currently sniffing a black-eyed susan, while talking to a bee.

"Do you know where I am, bee?" Eli said, "Am I dreaming, still asleep?"

The bee assured Eli that he was not dreaming, by giving him a quick and mighty sting.

"Yow!! Thanks for letting that be known, bee!" The bee showed his welcome by leaving a little spit of honey on Eli's hand, before she happily buzzed away.

"Damn you, bee!"

While Eli was silently cursing the thoughtful bee's guts, a small boy had been watching Eli from the start.

"Um, excuse me sir!" he said. He seemed to be no taller than 5'0, with cream skin and jade eyes and hair, and a slim build.\

His good looks were more due to his cuteness than being handsome. Eli looked up from the flower he was sniffing, with a surprised expression on his face.

"Huh? Did you say something?" Eli said. The small boy smiled brightly before giving his answer.

"Hello, my name is Weet, and it is nice to meet you. I was hoping that I could perhaps join you"

Eli anxiously scratched his head. "What do you mean, join me?"

Weet continued to smile while shaking his head. You know, we're not on earth right now. were in an unknown fantasy world, and I don't know when we'll go back. But in the meantime, we have to defend our lives, and those important to us. Weet's expression became serious. "I am not strong enough to fight alone, so I ask if you fight with me. In return, I offer my skills to aid your every need."

Eli's thoughts scrambled about in his mind. He knew that he would not be returning to earth anytime soon either. He cried out in both fear and rage.

"What!?"

Weet bowed his head in apology." I am sorry, that there seems to be no way around it."

Eli stared at Weet, which made Weet shudder. The wind blew softly through Eli's hair, as his mouth suddenly spoke words on its own.

"I accept your offer. You may call me,.. Shiilo.

Seeing that his comrade had regained his cool, Weet nodded his head in contempt. "It is an honor to meet you, Shiilo"

"Likewise", Shiilo answered, stretching forth his hand once he had stood up, I look forward to working with you.

They then both sat in the flowers, while afterwards Weet started telling Shiilo about the monsters that he had seen. "I saw Boar's as big as school buses, an elephant that was more than half the height of the tallest Redwood tree, and Zombies as strong as the incredible Hulk!"

Meanwhile, Shiilo listened with half an ear, white staring seriously up at the sunlit heavens. He could only think of one sentence in his mind, 'Is this a test?'

After doing his morning routine of washing himself, Weet insisted that he take me to the nearest town which was about six miles east called Sol, to purchase weapons and armor. I then noticed that I had a bracelet that was thin and brown around my wrist, which I could not seem to remove.

"You can't take it off", Weet said. "It changes colors to show your elemental rank. It also doubles as an inventory" Weet double-tapped his bracelet, and a sword appeared before him, where it floated in the air, waiting for him to take it.

"You got a sword?" Shiilo asked.

"Yeah. You can get loot by treasure hunting. I just happen to have a dead humans sword.

"Seriously?!", Shiilo blurted out. It was just an average low-grade katana, with a red handle. Shiilo thought he would try his luck, so he opened his inventory after double-tapping his wrist. Shiilo opened his eyes wide when he saw what his inventory gifted him. A golden ring, flaming in bright yellow flames as bright as the sun floated in front of him, and Shiilo knew he dare not touch it.

The ring seemed to have a mind of its own, as the flames came together, forming a burning face, so fearful, it made Shiilo and Weet melt to the ground in fear, and they dared themselves to look at it. "I am the Ring of Justice, who is meant to be given to the Angel of Death. You are not worthy to wield my power" It then vanished, returning to Shiilo's inventory.

Shiilo's chest was throbbing, as his heart was beating in overdrive within.

"I swear to the Almighty, if I see that ring again, I will surely perish!" Shiilo laid on his back, gasping for air like a fish out of water.

After five minutes, both boys were back to normal, and after a brief chat, they started on their way towards Sol.

"That was an experience of a lifetime," Weet said.

"Indeed. I've never known anything quite like it, Shiilo answered.

Just then, Shillo heard loud laughter that sounded like the laughing of a crazy person. Shiilo froze in his steps, wondering who could possibly be making such crazed laughter.

"Zombies", weet said, "They can hear our heartbeat and smell our blood."

Shillo looked at Weet in shock, "What do you mean, they can hear our heartbeat, and smell our blood? So how do you avoid them?"

Weet scratched his head. "I don't know."

Shiilo put a hand on his forehead. You don't know. Great. Weet puffed out his cheeks, looking at Shilo with a pleading look. "I don't know everything! I just got here too, you know!"

"Fine", Shiilo said, "I get it. So what now?"

Weet looked at Shiilo and frowned. "We must avoid contact with the zombies at all cost or we'll die. Instantly."

"Uh-huh", Shilo said. They both took off running, being careful not to go near the loud laughter.

"There's no way we can run like this for four miles!"

"In this world you can", Weet said.

Five minutes later, both boys stumbled into the gates of the town, Sol.
