Going to work was always shitty but doing so at 3 in the morning was worse as we had been on 10 hour shifts the entire year. I was burning out but I could do nothing about it because the economy was collapsing and this job payed pretty well. Weather this year made everything worse as it was either cold or raining.
While driving to work I hit a long straight stretch of road and stretched my arms while closing one eye. When I reopened the eye there was a truck right in front of me and 10 feet off the ground. It had hit the concrete divider and ramped up and on top of me.
With a quick flash of headlights and the pain of being crushed to death in an instant slammed into my consciousness as I flinched and sat bolt upright still shaking from the echos of the pain I had experienced.
Seemingly fine I open my eyes and I see everything, not just the hospital room I was in but everything on earth and beyond into the infinite expanses of the universe. I could see everything from the smallest pieces of existence to an outside view of the ever growing universe that I was in. Past the universe was a lot of stuff but it was all too blurry to make out.
Closing my eyes again my sight seemed to limit itself to the hospital I was in as it seemed to react to me wanting to see less. As soon as my vision adjusted to the building I felt my eyes burning as blood seeped out of my eyes, ears and nose.
Looking at myself I could feel the weight of my vision sink onto my failing body as my brain and body overloaded with the truly massive amount of information that flooded me when I looked at everything. With that sight I lost consciousness to the sounds of beeping from the devices around me and people rushing around my body. Waking up some time later I could see the room I was in and the state of my body.
I don't know how I survived but it was surely a miracle as my brain had pretty much fried up and become mush. With some caution I pushed my sight to the entirety of the hospital and found myself in what seemed to be a Japanese hospital. When I had first opened my eyes I had seen many things but my mind only processed a few as it was quickly overwhelmed.
Most of what my mind had gotten was readable information and it had practically been burned into my memory. I could read and understand every know language yet couldn't speak it as I had never done so before. Luckily my body had spoken Japanese therefore I could use it and English as it had learned it in school.
With a single thought I knew almost everything there was to know about myself. 14 year old Yume Shugosha or Shugosha Yume in proper Japanese. I was born an orphan as my father died and mother passed giving birth.
I was a short blonde boy with smooth, pale skin. I was tall and lanky standing at 5'9 or 175 cm as a teenager. I was taller than most of my peers at my age and had been heavily bullied in school.
My parents had left a sizable inheritance and a well payed lawyer to look after me while I was growing up. I had been born in the world of My Hero Academia and was determined a quirkless child. Despite that I had a good life and good upbringing even if it was lonely.
When I went to the store to by food for the week it had gotten attacked and I was put in a coma. Nearing my 15 birthday I woke up and overloaded my brain with my quirk awakening.
My quirk was powerful as I could see everything all the time. I could see the doctor's and nurses running around as they had been alerted to my waking up by the devices connected to me.
A few hours later I was lying in bed and trying to eat some solid food but I could barely take it down despite my empty stomach. Closing my eyes I lie back and look around the world, my vision isn't removed or restricted by me just slightly suppressed as I can always see everything but don't get the information.
It feels like looking in my peripheral vision but with full clarity of what I can see. I can see it all but I can't make sense of it unless I actively look.
Privacy no longer existed for life on Earth as my sight settled on the planet. That was when it happened, what I saw snapped something inside me like a twig. I saw the horrific things mankind was doing at this moment, the deepest, darkest parts that humanity could possibly sink to. I now understood why AI in movies would want to wipe out humans. The bad we did greatly outweighed all the good a hundred-fold.
The only reason I didn't think the same way was that I could see all the good, and while the good was nothing compared to the bad it was still worth protecting and saving.
Feeling a pain in my body I pulled back my awareness and looked at myself for a few minutes. It was hard to see even for me but it was just fast enough for me to perceive. My body was changing due to my quirk, I was growing taller along with gaining other changes.
Quickly scarfing down the food I had been allowed I looked at my body and watched as the food became energy and nutrients that were pushed towards multiple places.
Seeing this happen so fast I called in the nurse and got her to bring me more food. With the lawyer who watched over me I had my food supply increased and over the next few weeks of testing and check ups I exercised.
It was very clear that my quirk was making my body superhuman. My muscles were thick lumps of pure power, I now had near endless stamina and senses other than sight increased in capability.
While I was now superhuman I certainly wasn't like captain America or a spartan as I was still a 14 year old boy and not a massive super soldier who could bend metal with ease.
Despite not being a super soldier level power I had seen many changes. My skin had darkened into a heavy tan, as my hair grew out, became rough and got many black hairs mixed in. I had gained lots of muscles but I wasn't chiseled from stone yet.
I had grown in height considerably as I was practically crippled by the pain of my rapid growth which had made me a massive 6'5 which made me still look lanky despite the muscle I had put on.
My massive size drew a lot of attention that I didn't want, so I stayed home and exercised from there. I had been exercising one day and dropped a 50 pound plate on top of my toes. I crumpled to the floor to get my foot of the ground and lay there with broken toes for a few hours as I could see my bones and other parts simply moving back in place and healing.
After a day of painful toes I started testing my seemingly powerful healing factor. I had tested bruising all over my body and found that they disappear in just a few minutes to hours depending on the severity. Cuts and tears were the fastest as scabs few after a day and any scarring was gone in less than a month.
Along with my changes in looks was my eyes, they had become pure glowing blue orbs. I had bought reflective aviator glasses as without them people seemed incredibly intimidated by just seeing them.
When it was nearing time for UA entrance exams I began making my plans. I started by making my hero costume which was reinforced jeans, utility belt, reinforced shirt, armor vest, an armored leather jacket, reflective aviator glasses.
After completing my costume/armor I gathered the weapons I would be using. As this was Japan I couldn't get weapons easily but I could have them made or use mundane alternatives to what I wanted till I got in school.
I strapped two claw hammers to my legs in a way that I could grab and pull them up and almost immediately swing. I got some chisels and used a grinding tool and knife sharpener to make them into thick knives. After those came my main weapon, it was a long crowbar as it could be used both as an effective tool but could be a great weapon for bashing in heads.
After those came my ranged weapons, I got ahold of a small folding crossbow, lots of throwing blades and a slingshot. With my weapons complete I got utility items for my belt. I got 2 smoke and stun grenades, multiple bottles of pepper spray, and pepper balls for my slingshot. I got ahold of the best medical supplies I could including a small surgical kit.
With my gear done and ready for wear I prepared for the exam. The written exam was something I didn't have to worry about as I could cheat if I didn't already know the answer. The hard part was keeping up with the other examinees and still getting villain and rescue points.
Thinking about it getting points would be easy but if I wanted to keep others safe during the exam I would need speed. I knew just what I would need. After a few days the item arrived and I pulled out my new custom five wheel roller blades. With the changes brought by my quirk I had gained extreme balance, second only to a cat so I easily glided up and down the road alongside cars.
The next day I grabbed my bag and put on my blades and started skating to UA high school for the entrance exams. With my superhuman body I easily made it there in time to see Izuku almost wipe out and then stutter as he tried to respond to Ochaco.
Sitting in the hall I could see and hear him muttering and I understood why he was, but it was still pretty disturbing that his long term trauma had been bad enough to cause this. I would definitely have to find a way to get him in with a therapist.
The speech and stuff in the hall followed canon except for when I glared at motor legs for embarrassing Izuku which only added to the psychological issues he suffered from. Poor dude had been through enough and would go through much more if canon had its way.
After the speech and stuff we boarded buses to go to the separate cities for the tests. When the test began I took off and began smashing every bot I came across while watching the others.
A couple minutes in and I saw the first to need help, a completely nude girl was trapped under 3 two pointers. I recognized that she was the invisible girl Toru Hagakure. I had watched the episode were she became visible and could easily recognize the hair and eyes since she was just a naked girl for my sight.
I made my way over and lifted the bots off her and helped her up. I wasn't uncomfortable seeing her despite my teenage hormones as my sight forced me to see everything and I had long been used to it.
Moving on I rescued a few more people and bandaged a couple more. At this point I was just waiting for the 0 pointers to be activated.
