Chapter 25 - CHAPTER : THE GOD WHO REMEMBERS

While chaos rippled across the divine planes and fear gripped even the strongest gods, far away from the throne of light… a forgotten temple stirred.

Hidden within the folds of space, veiled in shadows cast by time itself, the Temple of Reminiscence lay in silence. It was older than the gods, older than the stars. No one visited it anymore. No offerings were made. No prayers reached it.

Except now… it breathed again.

A single flame flickered to life inside its deepest chamber.

And there, bound in chains forged by gods and demons alike, sat an old man. Hair white as bone. Eyes blind yet burning with wisdom. His body bore a thousand scars, each one glowing faintly like constellations.

He was Zephyr, the God of Memory—the one the heavens silenced.

The air shifted as he opened his mouth, whispering words that had been trapped behind his sealed tongue for an eternity.

> "He has returned…"

Chains rattled. Dust fell from the ancient stone.

> "Azrion… The Demon Star. The Son of Silence. The Broken Crown."

Each name he spoke echoed through dimensions. The chains binding him trembled with every word, their divine locks melting into steam.

Two celestial guards, hidden in the veil, immediately sensed the awakening and materialized with drawn weapons.

> "Remain silent, zephyr!" one bellowed. "You have no right to speak of the Fallen One!"

But zephyr… only smiled.

His voice was calm, yet each word rang with the weight of truth denied.

> "You feared his return so much… you bound me here. Because I remember the war you tried to erase."

He stood.

The chains shattered like glass, falling around him like rain.

> "But truth has a soul. And that soul… now walks again."

The guards lunged—but zephyr raised his hand.

The air itself rejected them. Their forms disintegrated into dust before they reached him. Not out of anger. Not even by power.

But by memory. The world remembered zephyr—and obeyed.

He stepped through the veil and looked up at the shaking heavens.

Meanwhile, Kael stood quietly in the soul realm, watching Azrion sit in silence on a broken throne of dark stone and obsidian fire. Despite the battle, despite the power… Azrion looked exhausted.

Not in strength.

In spirit.

> "You look like… you're waiting for something," Kael said gently.

Azrion didn't answer at first. His gaze was distant, like he was watching a time long gone.

> "There's one god," Azrion finally said. "One who didn't betray me. One who remembers the truth."

Kael's eyes widened.

> Zephyr ? Kael asked

Azrion looked directly at him for the first time, and something in his gaze cracked Kael's heart open.

> Yes his name is zephyr . And if he still lives… then the truth will too."

As if in answer, the skies above twisted open—and from the heart of forgotten time, zephyr emerged, walking upon starlight.

The gods gasped.

Even the Supreme Ones stood.

Because zephyr… the only god who once wept for the demons, had returned.

> "Let this be known," zephyr declared, his voice shaking both heavens and hell.

"Azrion is not your enemy.

You are the architects of your own doom."
