Sora slept in later than Mina. He woke up to find her in the living room, lost in thought.
He quickly pulled up his system and could see his sister active in the system, so he decided to check out what she was looking at.
He sat next to her and asked, "So you're reviewing the spells from yesterday? I suppose I should too!"
"Yes, I am. How did you know?"
"You haven't noticed? I'm blue and you're green in the system and it highlights what you're looking at in green for me. You should check it out."
"Oh, wow. It says 'Sora Hart [system activate]' and has a blue highlight over Elven Magic [Uncommon]. That's kind of cool."
"It is, but we should go over these skills together."
Mina agreed and the two sat and went over each skill, one by one.
Human Skills: Common
•Master of Weapons
Elven Magic [uncommon]
•Entanglement - Summon vines to attack enemies. Vines will latch onto enemies and attempt to puncture and constrict them.
•Wall of Earth - Raise a wall, made of Earth suited to the terrain you are in, to defend from oncoming attacks.
•Black Winds Howl - The sky turns to darkness as fierce, black winds push back and attempt to slice enemies apart.
•Nature's Fortitude - Enhance the durability of your weapons and armor for 30 minutes.
Fang Royal Bloodline Magic [Legendary]
•Restore - fully heal and restore nearby allies. [cannot revive the dead]
•Endless Quiver - No arrows are needed when using a bow. Simply pull on the bow string and an arrow will appear.
•Fang of Justice - Summon a wolf spirit for 5 minutes that will attack enemies. The wolf cannot be damaged by physical attacks. Cooldown: 6 hours.
••One wolf maximum, per twin. Can be leveled up to more wolves for longer periods of time.
•Sprout - Sprout venomous plants that shoot needles at enemies. If an enemy is injected with venom, they will have 2 minutes to live, unless antidote or healing is applied.
Spells of the gods [Legendary]:
•Vitality [Eden] - Passive skill. Heal and restore energy when not actively engaged in battle. If your twin allows you to rest in battle, Vitality will still work.
Pleased with the previous day's work, they were expecting to hear a knock, but no one came. They decided to head downstairs and enjoy breakfast.
"We're up to level 3! I wonder how far we can go?" Sora asked his sister, while serving both of them seconds.
"That's a good question, but I'm guessing it will be difficult to climb levels as we get higher. I'd say our skills right now are very strong, though," Mina said.
As they went up to their rooms, a note was left on their door.
"We have dropped off the Royal Family's battle attire and crafted Mina a new bow and arrow from our forgery. Sora, we are working on a spear for you. One that will retract more smoothly. -Stefania"
"Woah, that was quick. Let's go try them on!" Mina said with excitement.
The battle attire included a much thicker tunic, a chest plate, embroidered with the family crest, as well as heavy boots, and helmets, which do not impede their vision, while still fitting tightly.
The helmets had several feathers in the crown, green and gold in color. They also had white cloaks to cover their armor, which made them both smile. The cloaks bore the Fang Family crest, on the back, a gold bow and arrow, with fangs.

Suddenly, a large alarm sounded from the central gate. It was the sound of bells chiming.
"Three chimes, I wonder what that means?" Sora said as he grabbed Mina's hand and sprinted out of the room.
"Xavier. What's going on? What do three chimes mean?"
"Three chimes means a threat approaches and is approximately 1 hour away, on foot. Two chimes for thirty minutes. 1 chime for fifteen minutes."
"How many?"
"That is what we are going to find out," Xavier said as he and Stefania sported similar, yet more eloquent armor than the twins.
When they got outside, Sora and Mina were impressed with how calm and fluid the townspeople were. Everyone knew the lockdown procedure and the army members were taking positions high on the castle walls.
Sora noticed two parties outside the gate, both around 100 members, dressed in all black gear and headed to the forests on the east and west sides, just outside the Kingdoms gate.
"Commander Eric, how many humans?" Xavier asked.
"Around five to ten thousand, headed this way, my Lord. They are all walking on foot. They have four Commanders on horseback."
"What about the Hammer of Justice?" Sora asked, hoping to retrieve another sacred item of the gods.
"We are not sure. Who are the twins?"
"Forgive me Eric, they have been sent by the gods to aid us in our battle with humanity. They are quite talented."
"Great. What do you have them doing?"
"Sora, Mina, I trust you are well versed in battle. You're our wildcard. Improvise and make yourselves hidden in the woods you originally walked out from. That will be the perfect place for a sneak attack," Stefania said with a large smile.
"Copy," the twins said and began sprinting.
"Why is the cloak always white?" Sora complained.
"I told you brother, the bloodier your cloak, the more successful your day!" Mina said emphatically.
"Two chimes. Thirty minutes," Sora said as they were still sprinting toward the forest.

Sora and Mina made it to the forest before the final chime, which allowed them to use Vitality to regain the energy they used sprinting over.
"We are going to be quite the surprise flank force. We can't let anyone sneak out and return to the humans, unless it is us, to inform them of what happened." Mina said.
"Damnit. We should have thought of that earlier. If we leave no survivors, maybe we should suggest returning undercover, stating it was a close battle and many elven lives were lost?" Sora suggested.
"Let's focus on this battle first. We can already hear and feel the ground trembling below our feet."
Chime.
"Fifteen minutes sister, what's the plan?"
"When they arrive, cast Fang of Justice behind the enemies and see how much it drains you. This won't give our location away."
"What are you planning to do?"
"Depending on if they have horses, heavy weapons, or are just all on their feet, I will cast Entanglement or Sprout in the center of their forces to divide them."
"Good thinking. Let's do this. I already feel more powerful and we've only leveled up twice. After I cast Fang of Justice, I will also use Entanglement on their forces."

Back in front of the castle, Xavier and Stefania finally received their horses.
Xavier's horse was named 'Ace', a stunning black stallion with white feet and a white line along its back, all the way down his head, straight to his nostrils. Ace always showed love to his Master, but showed affection to very few.
Stefania's horse was named 'Belladeon,' an elegant white horse with a playful temperament, until it was time for battle. She loved her Master, but she also loved the attention she received from other elves.
The two recently had a baby, 'Eclipse' who was six weeks old, had a black and white coat and shared the playful nature of his Mother.
As Xavier and Stefania mounted their horses, they readied the men, ensuring the archers were ready.
"On my command, archers fire! After the second round of fiery arrows, we will send in the main force, head on. Shortly after, the men we have stationed to the East and West will flank and remember, we have two allies hidden in the forest about a mile away, to the northwest!"
"Hoo-Rah Hoo-Rah Hoo-Hoo!" The men chanted, loudly and proudly.
"They're approaching, they have catapults!" Eric yelled from the top of the wall, where he used a device, like a handheld telescope.
"How many?!" Xavier yelled back.
"Four! Orders, sir?" Eric yelled back.
"We stick to the original plan! I trust our new allies will make the right decision on targeting the catapults before they are able to fire! As long as we deal with those, with our swords, bows, magic, and the blessing of Eden, our sacred god of Nature, we will win this battle!"
"For Eden, for the Fang Family, Hoo-Rah, Hoo-Rah Hoo-Hoo!"
"Please bless us with minimal casualties and a victory," Stefania prayed.
Meanwhile, in the forest, Mina and Sora noticed the catapults.
"You summon the wolf and I'll use entanglement to deal with those. If you still have energy, use it to focus those catapults. We can't let them get a shot off."
"Copy sis, I haven't been this excited to battle since the Demon King!" Sora said with a smirk.
"Me neither," Mina said and fist bumped her brother.
"The elven chants are cool. I'd scream them myself if it didn't give our position away," Sora said.
"They are, let's make sure they're able to chant another day!"
