Author's Note: I'm a very bad writer, and since I've been writing this story slowly throughout the year, the quality of the writing itself gets better (or at least I hope so) as we go along. The chapters also get longer and more detailed as we go, so please bear with me in the beginning while I try to edit and lengthen the earlier chapters. This story draws elements from Mobile Suit Gundam, CoD: Infinite Warfare, CoD: MWII, and Rainbow Six (the book). Enjoy! (More notes and vocab/definitions at the bottom)
Disclaimer: This story contains profanity, violence, bloodshed, death and many modern world issues. These harsh and complex topics are covered in a fictional sense. This story contains only original characters. Any resemblance to any real person, alive or deceased is a coincidence.

Summary: Four operators, one target, dozens of lives.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rain. It's wet, cold, gives you a weird tingly feeling as it hits your dry skin. The water slowly drips off any protruding surfaces onto your drier sections, the cold water burning through any and all body heat there. Since you can feel each damned drop on your head, there's a constant tap, tap, tap in your ears as the vibration rings inside your skull. It sucks, but being seen is worse. "Pugio, you are clear to proceed."
"Copy that. Beginning op."
"Roger. Godspeed Pugio." Four cloaked figures silently walked into an alleyway, where a bright neon sign reading The Swing Bar illuminating a rusty, iron door on the left. Neon arrows and flickering LEDs haphazardly stuck onto the brick walls around the doorway reflect off of the puddles gathering on the uneven asphalt.
A large, well dressed man stood under a small shelter, partly protected from the rain as water droplets collected on the edge, slowly dripping down. He spotted the first figure closing through the waves of water as they seemingly glided across the ground, cloak billowing behind them. "Who goes there?" No response. "I'm not repeating myself again. Who are you?" His intimidating voice was drowned out by the heavy rain, plinking off of the thin metal roof. No response. "Screw off then." Moving his hand into his pocket, he gripped onto the rough, plastic handle of a knife, ready to draw it. Suddenly, he felt a dull thud in his chest and stumbled, hitting the wall with a crack as some mortar crumbled away. "Damn. What was that?" Looking down, gently placing his hand over his chest, he felt some sticky, wet, warmish substance, slowly seeping down his dry hands and chest. It was red.
"Whuh?" He felt woozy, the world around him slowly fading away from view as he coughed, forcing himself to take each, painful, wet, breath. As he felt himself hit the cold, hard ground, a dark silhouette quietly stood over him. His grip on life was slipping away, the world was warped and slowing down, his hearing was going, his lungs hurt, his chest was burning when his last breath slowly escaped his lungs. Then everything went dark. The man spoke again: "TOC, this is Pugio. Contact confirmed as armed bogey and has been eliminated."
"Copy Pugio. TOC out."
He ducked under the shelter and removed his hood exposing his short, red hair: "Nice shot Nico." Nico smiled and took off her hood, exposing her soft blonde hair to the rain. "That's my job." The man nodded, gesturing the entire team underneath the small shelter, while kicking the body out into the rain. "Alright. Gear check. Nico."
She pulled on a balaclava and baseball cap, putting on safety glasses as she racked her FLN P246 pistol and chambered her ECR-16s enhanced battle rifle. "Check."
"Oxford." A man wearing a dark blue ECH and green balaclava charged his P246 and holstered it before chambering his rifle. He checked the optics and the bolt before sighting his rifle. "Check."
"Kaoru." The last figure removed her hood, exposing her face. "Yep." She strapped a helmet on and pulled a balaclava over her mouth and nose, quickly wiping her knife and checking the slide on her pistol and the bolt on her rifle. Cockney nodded, screwing a suppressor onto his ECW-8a submachine gun and his P246, quickly performing a press check. "Nico. Helmet on."
"Fine." She swapped her cap for an ECH and lowered her NODs over her eyes, giving Cockney the finger. "Okay. NODs on, are we ready?" Everyone nodded. "Final check. Squad ready for breach?"
"All good."
"Alright. Ready breach." Cockney positioned himself on the left side of the door frame, pressing his body to the wall as much as possible. Kaoru fell in behind him and tapped his shoulder. Oxford placed himself across from Cockney and nodded when Kaoru tapped his shoulder. "Breaching!" Cockney kicked the door open with a bang! As the rusty iron lock failed and crumpled beneath his foot, the door swung open. He shouldered his weapon and engaged, spraying the club with 9mm rounds. The rest of the team followed, with Oxford pulling the door shut behind him, iron meeting iron with a loud clang.
The rain kept falling.
To be continued...

More notes: This chapter was a bit short, yes, but as I mentioned earlier, chapters will get longer! Once I'm free, I hope to be able to post two chapters every time I release some content. I'll be releasing chapters in this format as regularly as I can, and due to real life circumstances, I'm quite busy and won't be able to update for some periods of time. Hopefully you've enjoyed! Have a good day! -Genpatz4
