Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Night

Chapter 6 Night

The reason Fang Bie hadn't made a Timekeeping Tool earlier was because he had spent a lot of time on building a House and searching for Food.

However, now that he had discovered Coal, naturally things were different.

The time until sunset was getting closer and closer. Fang Bie didn't rush to sleep anxiously like the first day, at least not when he had a House. Those Monsters shouldn't easily approach this place, right?

So, after he replaced his Stone Tools, the speed at which this Coal was mined became even faster. Fang Bie carefully counted, and there were more than 20 pieces of Coal connected together. Using them for burning was also a pretty good idea.

Moreover, he didn't even know if there was Winter in this World. If there was no Coal, he wouldn't even know how to survive the Winter.

Fang Bie almost timed it perfectly, putting the last piece of Coal into his Item Inventory. He didn't even have time to tidy up the Workbench that was placed there, and just rushed Inside the House.

The last trace of the Sun's Radiance dissipated at this moment, and faint Zombie roars could be heard from outside.

Fang Bie hurriedly fumbled to light a Torch. As long as Wooden Sticks and Coal were placed in the Item Inventory, 4 Torches would automatically be synthesized.

He carefully placed two Torches Inside the House, illuminating this originally small hut brightly.

Then he opened the Door and peeked out, placing a Torch by the Door, illuminating the Area of the Doorway brightly.

This Bright Light was actually already very strong. Even he hadn't expected that it could illuminate Inside the House so brightly.

Fang Bie listened carefully again to the Monster sounds outside. After confirming that no Monsters had spawned here, he also breathed a sigh of relief.

According to the Rule of MC, Monsters would spawn within Blocks 24 units away from him, and would actively move towards his direction. Since he had built this House, even if it couldn't isolate Monster spawning, being able to isolate Monsters from detecting him was actually already pretty good.

It was at this moment that he remembered his rumbling Stomach. He quickly used Stone to surround an area on the Workbench. Making a Furnace in MC wasn't very troublesome. Surrounding a circle with 8 Stones in the Nine-Palace Grid crafting table could smoothly create a Furnace.

Fang Bie subconsciously made two of them, placing them to the left and right of the Workbench. Crafting items on the Workbench was no different from crafting them on his person, except that he could only craft some simple things on his person, while the Workbench could synthesize most of the items in the original 'My World'.

Fang Bie put the Mutton he had obtained from hunting earlier into the Furnace and casually stuffed in a piece of Coal. Crackling Flames began to burn in the Furnace.

This Furnace was made extremely realistically. He could even feel the Temperature emitted from the Flames burning, and he could also see through the simple Stone Furnace the piece of Mutton placed on top, already smoking.

"Tsk!" Fang Bie couldn't help but click his tongue. He had been eating Fruit for the past two days, and his mouth was almost tasteless. Finally having Meat to eat, of course, he would have this reaction.

This Mutton was very large. We mentioned earlier that it was half a person's size. Although the thickness wasn't very high, it was actually enough for one person to eat until they were full.

Fang Bie sat beside the Furnace like this, quietly waiting for the Mutton to cook. His seat was made of Steps. The Steps in this World were half a meter high each, but they were just right to be used as Stools. Then, just placing a Block on top could be used as a Table.

It was just like the Time in the Game. It was as if the two or three seconds of tree-chopping Time he usually needed was increased to a minute. The meat-roasting Time that originally only took 10 or so seconds was also extended to five or six minutes.

But Fang Bie had even endured a whole day of Time, so of course he wouldn't care about these mere five or six minutes. He even had the refinement to make a Bowl for himself out of Wood.

Three Wooden Planks can make 4 Bowls, and one Wood can be converted into 4 Wooden Planks, so he didn't waste much Resource.

However, when he took that large piece of Mutton out of the Furnace, he also became a little worried. This Meat was so big, and he didn't have any Tools in his hand, how was he going to cut it?

But how could this small problem stump a foodie from Great Hua Country like me? Fang Bie quickly used the Workbench beside him to craft a Stone Sword. He didn't use the Wooden Sword he used for hunting, but instead used a brand new Stone Sword as a cutting Tool.

After all, no one was quite sure whether there were Bacteria in this World. He was alone. If he got sick, he was afraid there would be no Hope of surviving.

"But this Game doesn't seem to have a sick State either. Forget it, don't think about it, eat first!" Fang Bie smelled the fragrant Mutton, and his appetite was greatly increased. He picked up two Chopsticks made of Wooden Sticks and stuffed the Meat into his mouth.

"Hmm… the taste is about the same as the Mutton sold on the street, but even more fragrant!" Fang Bie nodded in satisfaction. Although there was no Staple Food, being able to eat Cooked Food already made him feel very happy.

However, just as he put the second bite of Mutton into his mouth, Zombie cries came from outside the Door, making him feel a little nervous.

The cries were clearly still far away outside before, but now they had already come to the foot of the Mountain Slope not far away. How could he not be nervous?

He quickly put down the Mutton in his hand, took out some extra Stone he had mined when mining Coal earlier, and blocked the wall where the Door was originally placed completely solid.

His House was originally not big, just an 8x4x4 cube, which was a rectangular shape. One wall was filled with Boxes, one wall had a Door, and the other two walls had two holes left as Windows, which had now also been blocked by Wooden Planks.

And this wall that was originally the Door was also completely sealed by him with Stone, just forming a 4x4 Stone Wall, which also made the Zombie cries originally coming from outside much quieter.

If it weren't for the fact that Oxygen in this World seemed to be able to ignore the Distance of Space and get in, he would have suffocated to death long ago by doing this.

However, Fang Bie, as a veteran MC Player, had naturally expected such a thing, so this could also be considered within his Plan.

He sat down and comfortably finished eating the Mutton in his Bowl, and then put the other part of the cooked Mutton into his Backpack. This was another Situation completely different from the Game.

In the Game, a piece of Meat would be eaten in a few bites. How could it be divided into several pieces like his, which looked like it could last for many days.

And when this piece of Mutton went into his Backpack, the Name also automatically changed to a 'Mutton Chop' with a missing piece. It seemed that the self-correction ability of this real World was quite good.

Fang Bie certainly didn't dare to go out to fetch Water at this time. After tidying himself up a little, he went to Bed and fell into a deep sleep.

This Bed was still pretty good. No matter who it was, as long as they lay on the Bed at Night, they could have a good sleep.
