Jinhyuk stood on a cliffside, overlooking a burning forest at the edge of the Jeju Gate.
Flames danced in the distance.
Explosions echoed through the trees.
And at the center—stood her.
A girl in a torn cloak, blood running down her arm.
Long hair braided over one shoulder.
Eyes glowing faint blue like a wolf's.
A bow made of crystal spirit bone, drawn tight with ethereal energy.
She loosed an arrow.
Boom.
A squad of mercenaries were blown into the trees.
"Still not enough," she muttered, breathing hard.
Then—
"Need a hand?"
She spun, arrow aimed—
Only to find Jinhyuk leaning against a tree, hands in pockets.
"Who the hell are you?"
"Friend," he said. "Maybe."

The mercenaries regrouped.
"Target confirmed!"
"Kill her and take her core!"
Jinhyuk sighed. "Typical bounty hunters."
Yura scowled. "You're not with them?"
He smiled. "If I was, you'd already be dead."
She snorted, then pulled back another arrow. "Fine. Prove it."

The battle was quick.
Jinhyuk didn't unsheathe a weapon.
He moved like shadow, his strikes disabling enemies without fatality.
Pressure points. Qi strikes. One broken leg, two shattered wrists, and a crushed spine—all delivered in silence.
When it was over, the mercenaries ran.
Yura lowered her bow slowly, eyes still wary.
"You're strong. And weird."
"Both are true."
"Why help me?"
He tossed her a glowing scroll.

"Shadow Eclipse, huh? Sounds cool."
Her signature sealed the contract.

"She's pretty," she whispered near Jinhyuk. "Too pretty."
Dohun grunted. "She shoots explosions. I like her."
Jinhyuk just stared at the sky.
