"Hello, Katya," I said, approaching the adventurers' guild
"Katya?"
"Well, that's your name, isn't it? Katya or Ekaterina!"
"This is the first time I've heard of it, I've always been called Katerina."
"Well, if you say so, do you mind if I call you Katya?"
"If that's what you want, then I'd be happy to."- she told me.
"Great! I came today to register with the adventurers' guild," I said.
"Okay, just a second…"- she said, reaching under the counter and taking out a piece of paper.
"Here, fill out this document."
Hmm, there definitely wasn't anything like that in the game, but as I said, it's not a game, and what it gave me clearly resembles reality.
The first point was the last name and first name, in which I wrote Hoshimi Miyabi, then I had to indicate the gender, and here the choice was obvious. I put a checkmark on female.
In the next section, I indicated my age, and although I don't know how old I look with this appearance, I still decided to use my actual age in my past life, namely seventeen years old.
Place of birth? Well, since people think that I'm from Inazuma, then I'll write Inazuma, even though it won't be true, it doesn't look like I lied, my name fits, as well as the weapon.
Weapon, in this column I wrote katana.
Hm, then the space where I had to write whether I served somewhere, or where I worked, and what I did in general.
Well, since I'm new to this world, I of course had nothing to write. Although I thought that I could write served as a samurai, in the service of the shogun, but I did not want to lie like that.
"Katya, do I have to fill in the last point?" I asked the girl.
"No, this point is not mandatory, it is just needed to understand your capabilities." she said.
"Well then, if I studied fencing and mastered it perfectly, I can write it." I asked.
"Yes."
Perfect!
"Here, take it!" I said
She took my piece of paper and went into the room that was behind her and came back a couple of minutes later handing me a card.
"That's it now, you are a full member of the guild."
I took the card in my hands where my data was displayed, as well as my photo from somewhere, although this was not a shock, since in this world there are cameras that were created in the Fontana. Although I don't remember her taking a photo of me. Luckily, I looked good in the photo...
Also on the card, there was a display of completed tasks, and at the moment, there was the number zero.
"Katya, can you show me the available tasks?" I asked her.
"Just a second..." she said and reached under the counter to get three sheets of paper and put them in front of me.
Hmm, the first task is to eliminate the Hilichurls who settled near the city, the reward is 2000 Mora.
I don't know if this is a lot or a little, but still.
The next task was to get slime mucus, and the reward was 5000 Mora.
This is more than in the past, strange, although it is clear that Hilichurls are more dangerous than slimes, then why.
"Katya, why does this task have a higher reward than this one?"
"Because the slime is needed for alchemy, and this was a personal assignment from the alchemist, and the other was simply to exterminate the hilichurls, which was given to the Ordo Favonius, they are busy now and cannot do this."
"I see."
I looked at the third leaflet, Obtain the core, the guardian of the ruins. Reward 10,000 mora.
Well, this is more likely true, as far as I remember, the guardian of the ruins is quite dangerous, so they are the remains of a lost civilization that did not believe in gods.
"I will take all three!" I told her.
"Are you sure?" she asked me
"Yes, if there are problems with this?"
"No, I will write it down for you now." she said.
"And Katya, do you have a map or something like that?" I asked.
"Yes, here you go, you can pay for it after you complete the quests. And take care of yourself there. To the stars and the abysses!"
"Thank you."- I said, taking the map.
As soon as I walked away a little, I immediately looked at the map, which was similar to the one in the game, only there was one region, Mandstadt. After looking at the places in the quests, I marked them on the map.
Folding the map, I headed to the exit of the city, where I met Amber.
"Good afternoon, Miyabi."- she said cheerfully.
"Hello."
"I understand you became an adventurer?"
"Yeah, how did you know?"
"Hehe, nothing can be hidden from me in this city."- she said proudly, to which I rolled my eyes.
"As you say."- I rolled my eyes.
"Okay Miyabi, I have to go, take care of yourself there." Amber said and ran away.
Shrugging, I got out of the city, and followed the map to the southwest, where the hilichurls were supposedly located.
"It wasn't for nothing that I studied geography." I said happily, putting the map away.
I immediately managed to find the village of these strange creatures that looked like people, in bizarre masks.
As far as I remember, they were people a long time ago, but the gods made them cursed, because they denied them.
The gods destroyed an entire civilization, it's terrible.
Although, at least something of their memory remained, I mean they somehow managed to build houses, well, they look more like tents, but still.
As I approached their camp, one of them noticed me and ran at me swinging his weapon without thinking. I dodged his attack, slashing his back, he immediately fell.
Afterwards, the others also noticed me, and some of them started shooting at me. One of them shot at me, I put my katana in block, and the arrow ricocheted off the blade, killing the enemy next to me.
It was cool.
I started to deal with the small fry, since they did not pose much of a threat to me.
"You are a big guy," I said, looking at the hilichurl on steroids, with a club in his hands
How could a human become a gorilla?
He also ran at me without thinking, I dodged his attack, cutting his leg, which angered him even more.
"Come on, is that all you can do?" I mocked him
"ARRRR" he growled in anger and ran at me.
I just smiled, dodging his attack, I jumped on his clubs, bounced off it even higher and before he could move away, I stuck the katana in his head, he stood for a second and fell.
"So, what now?" I asked myself looking at the camp with dead hilichurls.
Shrugging, I just went to collect masks, I hoped this would be considered proof.
"So now slimes..." I said opening the map where their location was placed.
Having chosen a direction and putting the map away, I went to where I could find slimes.
"Even though, I understand that these are completely different slimes, but still..." I said to the shapeless blue jelly.
"Sorry Rimuru." I said and started nursing the slimes that fell from one hit.
"Well, that's it, now all that's left is to collect the slime." I said and walked up to their bodies?
"They dropped slime? Is this a game where scabs drop loot? Then why didn't the same happen to the hilichurls?" I wondered while collecting the slime.
"Two quests, I've completed one more…" I said and noticed a large tree in the distance, under which a statue of the Anemo Archon was visible.
"Interesting…" I said and walked towards the tree.
Approaching the statue, I felt light energy vibrations around it. I reached out my hand to it, and immediately particles began to swirl around me, which I perceived as anemo particles, they swirled for a few more seconds until they entered me.
"Strange…" I muttered, clenching my fist.
I pulled out my katana and focused on it to use it as a conductor.
Swinging it, a small whirlwind separated from the blade at a tangent, which grew and showed no signs of stopping. As soon as I realized that it could grow even larger, I stopped the whirlwind with a swing.
"So I can wield anemo…" - most likely the same applies to other elements, which was actually cool.
I can already imagine how I combine hydro and electro elements.
After finishing practicing with anemo, I took out a map to find the last target.
Having found a place on the map, I went in the direction of it.
It was located near the ruins, and like a pendulum, it was swinging back and forth.
I decided not to wait long, but immediately rushed at him, he noticed me, fired a volley of missiles, to which I called a whirlwind, which sucked in the missiles, taking them to the side.
I dodged his blow, jumped on his hand, and stuck the katana into his body, he tried to knock me down with his other hand, but I dodged again and stuck it into his other side.
As a result, he was incapacitated, and eventually passed out, falling to the ground.
"And this time, the core did not fall out," I said, taking out the core.
"Well, it's time to go back, but…" I looked at the half-destroyed entrance to the ruins.
"Nothing bad will happen if I go and take a look?" I said and entered the ruins.
Walking down a long corridor that led to a large room with almost nothing in it, and in the middle of this room a blue glow was flickering.
I approached the center of the hall, and now this glow looked like a portal.
"Interesting…" I muttered and reached for this portal.
The next moment, the area around me changed, now I was standing in a rather small empty room, and behind me was the same portal.
"Hmm…" I said and reached for it again, and at that very second I returned to that large hall.
"Very interesting…" I said and decided that I should return to the city and hand in the quests, and then come back here and explore this portal.
I did so, returning to the city, I immediately handed in the quests, receiving 17,000 mora.
"Are you back yet?" Noel asked as I approached the Ordo Favonius headquarters
"Yes, I completed the tasks."
"I'm glad you weren't hurt." she said.
"Yes, but I'm really tired." I lied, but that wasn't true.
"Well then, rest." Noel said, and walked past me, toward the Church.
I think I know why she went there hehe
Entering my temporary room, I practiced with anemo a little more, and decided to lie down and rest.
I don't even know when I managed to close my eyes, but I opened them and it was already morning of the next day.
Getting ready, I went down to the trading stalls and stocked up on food.
This time I didn't meet anyone I knew, most likely it was too early.
I returned to those ruins again, to the portal.
"Well, let's go meet the adventure!" I exclaimed and reached for the portal.
