"You disgusting bastard. How dare you?"

Splash!

Ayna hurled a glass of wine straight into Nick's smug face. The crimson liquid dripped down his designer suit, staining it like blood.

Nick shot up, his face contorted in rage. "You damn woman!" he growled, his hand raised midair, ready to strike her.

But before it could reach her cheek—

Snap!

A hand caught his wrist. Ivy.

Her grip was like steel, her eyes cold as ice.

"You shouldn't raise your hand against a woman," she said calmly—and with a sharp twist, she dislocated his wrist and shoved him back. Nick stumbled and crashed into the couch, howling in pain.

"Ahhhh!"

The room went silent. All eyes were on Ivy.

"You bitch!" Fang, Nick's right-hand man, bellowed. "How dare you touch our boss? I'll teach you a lesson!"

He charged at Ivy like a bull—but she was faster. She sidestepped and brought her knee up in one fluid motion, slamming it into his stomach. Fang flew back and landed with a thud, groaning on the floor.

"Fuck! This crazy woman! Everyone, take her down!"

About fourteen of Nick's men surged forward, surrounding Ivy and Ayna.

Ayna clung to Ivy's arm. "Ivy, what are we going to do?"

Ivy didn't flinch. Her voice was calm, confident. "Relax, Ayna. I've got this."

The first man lunged—he was met with a swift elbow to the nose. Crack! Blood sprayed as he crumpled.

Two more came from behind. Ivy ducked, spun, and swept their legs out from under them in a perfect arc. They hit the marble floor hard.

Another tried to grab her from the side—she grabbed his wrist midair, twisted, and flipped him over her shoulder, slamming him into a glass table that shattered beneath his weight.

Ayna gasped. "Holy crap…"

Ivy moved like a shadow—silent, swift, deadly. Every punch she threw was precise, every kick explosive. Bones cracked, bodies dropped, groans filled the room.

One man came at her with a knife.

Big mistake.

Ivy blocked the strike, disarmed him in a blink, and used the handle of the blade to knock him out cold.

In less than three minutes, all fourteen men were on the ground—some unconscious, others too injured to move.

Ivy stood tall in the center, breathing steady, not a scratch on her.

Nick, still clutching his wrist, looked up at her in horror.

"Who... who the hell are you?"

She turned her icy gaze to him, then smiled slightly.

"Your worst nightmare."

Nick growled as he stumbled to his feet, clutching his bruised ribs. "You damn woman! I'll teach you a lesson—"

But before he could take another step, the sharp wail of police sirens sliced through the air through windows.

Everyone on the floor froze, heads snapping toward the windows.

Thudding footsteps echoed, and in march four uniformed officers, weapons drawn.

The injured men glanced at one another, panic flashing in their eyes. Then, like synchronized swimmers, they all scrambled toward the officers on their hands and knees.

"Officer! Officer!" one of them cried, gripping a pant leg. "Arrest this woman! She barged into our room and attacked us!"

"She's an assassin!" another added, clutching his side dramatically. "She's here to kill us—I bet she's hiding a gun!"

Ivy stood calm in the center of the chaos, unbothered. She tilted her head, raising an eyebrow. "You're right. I do have a gun."

Gasps erupted.

Slowly, she pulled a sleek, black pistol from the waistband of her jeans and held it up with practiced ease, the muzzle pointed at the ceiling.

The men paled instantly.

They'd been bluffing… but she really had a gun.

"SEE?! Officer, please arrest her before she goes full John Wick on us!" one wailed, dramatically shielding his head.

But the officers didn't move.

Instead, their gazes shifted to Ivy—and they stiffened.

Then, without a word, all four snapped to attention and saluted.

"Vice Director!"

Ivy nodded coolly.

There was a collective blink among the men on the floor.

Nick's jaw dropped. "Officer… what do you mean Vice Director?"

The leading officer turned toward him, expression stern. "This woman, whom you all falsely accused, is Vice Director Ivy Lannister of the JeDong Police Department."

Ivy flashed a smile. "Thanks to whoever called the cops—you just made my job easier. Officer Ahin, please arrest these clowns. Harassment, attempted assault, disturbing the peace. Lock them all up."

"Yes, ma'am!" Officer Ahin saluted. "Officers, take them in."

The room erupted into stunned silence.

Thirty minutes later, Ivy dropped Ayna home. She reassured her that with those goons behind bars, she'd be safe.

Once Ivy returned to her own apartment, she collapsed onto her bed and let out a long sigh. Tomorrow, she'd make sure those bastards faced the full extent of the law.

The next morning...

"Mom! Is breakfast ready?" Ivy called from the living room as she struggled to pull on a sock while sipping coffee.

"Almost! Just a few more minutes!"

"Mom, I'm gonna be late again!"

"Alright, alright—here it is!" her mom rushed over with a plate of steaming hot breakfast.

"Thanks, you're the best!" Ivy grinned, scarfed down her food like a human vacuum, hugged her mom, and dashed out the door.

JeDong Police Department —

Her black Mercedes rolled into the parking lot of the huge building.

Ivy Lannister—the youngest Vice Director of the JeDong Police Department.

She had always dreamed of becoming a police officer ever since she was a little girl. When she became an adult, she studied hard, took the entrance exam, and got selected. Ever since she was a child, Ivy had always been a sharp student.

She was only 21 when she became an officer. Since joining the department, she mastered various fighting skills—which she put to use yesterday to teach those gangsters a much-needed lesson. She also owned a licensed gun, which she carried almost everywhere for emergencies.

After becoming an officer, Ivy cracked multiple high-profile cases and was soon promoted to Vice Director—a position personally recommended by the Director himself to the higher-ups.

As she walked through the entrance, heads turned.

"Good morning, Vice Director!"

"Morning, Vice Director!"

She gave a nod, calm and composed like usual.

"Ivy!"

She turned.

It was Liam Sinclair—her colleague... and current boyfriend.

"Good morning, Liam," she greeted.

Liam's brows were furrowed. "I heard you beat some thugs at a private pub. Is that true?"

Ivy sighed, already tired. "Liam, their boss was harassing my friend. They started it. I just finished it. Self-defense, nothing more. Now, if you're done interrogating me, I have work."

"Ivy" he shouted.

Ivy furrowed.

Liam quickly softened his gaze and held ivy's shoulders "Ivy you do know I care for right so please don't do rash things again, Alright"

Ivy blinked "don't worry, I won't"

With that she walked away.

Liam clenched his teeth. Why is she always like this?

As Ivy reached her office door, a cheerful voice stopped her again.

"Vice Director!"

It was Officer Sana Jane, practically bouncing as she waved her phone.

Ivy exhaled. One peaceful morning. Just one. Is that too much to ask?

"What is it, Officer Sana?"

"Good morning!" Sana gave a quick bow. "Vice Director, I saw the video. You were AMAZING!"

Ivy blinked. "Video? What video?"

Sana gasped. "You don't know? Hang on—I'll send you the link!"

A second later, Ivy's phone pinged.

She tapped it open—and nearly dropped it.

It was a viral video of her from last night, beating those thugs. The video ended just as police arrived.

Her hand slowly slid to her face as she groaned. Who recorded this? It had to be those ladies in the room…

But then she glanced at the comments.
