Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: When the Sky Forgot Its Name

---

Location: Etherium — Throne of the Pantheon Council

Time: One day after the Executioner fell

The gods were silent.

For the first time in ten thousand years… not a single voice rose in judgment.

Even time, that smug bastard, paused to listen.

Twelve thrones stood in a perfect circle, floating above the celestial void. Carved from stars, stitched with law, sealed in pride.

And in the center…

Zerith's broken shackles still smoldered on the floor.

Crimson embers. A memory they tried to erase.

High Deva Elorai, goddess of order, slammed her staff down.

> "He killed an Executioner. Inside the mortal realm. With Zerith's blood burning in his veins. You want to wait!?"

Lord Maltrix, god of conquest, leaned forward lazily. "I want to see what the boy becomes."

> "He's no longer a boy," said Elyra, the goddess of secrets, eyes half-lidded. "He's a flame… given purpose."

Lightning cracked across the throne room's edge.

> "What if he is the prophecy?" whispered a low voice from nowhere.

A forbidden sentence.

Everyone heard it.

No one claimed it.

They remembered the words scrawled in blood by the Oracle of Dust:

> "When the God Who Bled rises again, the sky will forget its name."

---

Meanwhile:

Kairo stood atop the crumbling academy roof, mask off, chest rising.

He wasn't alone.

Velra sat beside him, eyes narrowed.

"You're officially a nightmare on divine radar," she muttered. "Congrats. You've broken the board they were playing on."

Kairo smirked. "Good. Now they'll stop treating me like a pawn."

She hesitated, then handed him a scroll.

"You've got fans now," Velra said. "They want a meeting. They're calling you... 'The Wound.'"

Kairo blinked. "That's terrible branding."

Velra laughed. "That's war."

He stood, letting the wind blow through his hair.

His aura?

Still golden-black.

But now—something new stirred underneath. A shimmer of starlight.

Zerith's voice echoed:

> "When they raised their temples, I raised my fists.

When they drew their lines, I erased them.

And when they broke me… I bled a name into the world."

> "That name is yours now."

SCENE SHIFT: DEEP VOID – THE FORGOTTEN GOD

In a prison outside time, something ancient opened a single eye.

One that should not exist.

> "So… the boy lives."

Chains groaned.

Reality winced.

A whisper passed between realms like a disease.

> "Let the second awakening begin."

---

BACK TO KAIRO:

Kairo cracked his knuckles.

Then looked up at the night sky.

And smiled.

> "They tried to bury me.

But I was the seed."
