Keshav and Jasmine both checked their phones, their eyes scanning the various notifications that popped up. The Player Association was bombarding them with information and updates.
The notification was from the Player Association, informing all players that
[Few dungeons across world which players don't like to clear experienced dungeon break spewing monsters in real world, it caused 1000s of casualty both civilian and military till nearby players came to kill monsters]
Jasmine's eyes widened as she read the notification. "Oh no... that's terrible. So many people have been hurt and killed."
Keshav nodded, his expression grim. "This is serious. We need to see the list of affected dungeons."
Jasmine scrolled through the notifications until she found the list of affected dungeons. The names of various dungeons from different parts of the world scrolled past her eyes, each one bringing a sense of dread.
"There are so many," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "And some of them are in densely populated areas. This could be catastrophic if left unchecked."
Keshav said "At least they weren't in our city. Our parents are safe especially with permanent invisible barrier around them you had made."
Jasmine nodded, grateful that their loved ones were safe. "That's true. I put a permanent invisible barrier around them with my skill. They shouldn't be affected by any monsters."
The next notification was from the Player Association, announcing a meeting for all independent players and guild representatives. It was mandatory attendance for all players, and the tone of the message left no room for disobedience. All pf them had to go to nearest Player Association for meeting in which they will be informed of decisions Player Association had made to prevent and counter future dungeon break.
Jasmine looked up from her phone, a frown deepening on her forehead. "Looks like the Player Association is calling for a meeting of all independent players and guild representatives. We have to go."
Keshav said while feeling relieved "At least they only called guild representative not the whole guild otherwise it would be very difficult for you to control all the fakes"
Jasmine nodded, her thoughts still on the impending meeting. "Yeah, you're right. Having to manage an entire guild's worth of fakes at a meeting like this would be a nightmare. I'm glad they only called for representatives."
As they entered the Player Association building, they were struck by the gravity of the situation. The atmosphere was tense and the building was filled with the hustle and bustle of players and staff hurrying about.
They were escorted to a large conference room where other guild representatives were already waiting.
When all guild representative came a person of player association came in front of everyone introduced himself.
The person introduced himself as Mr. John, a high-ranking official of the Player Association. He had a stern expression on his face and his voice was firm as he addressed the gathered representatives.
"Thank you all for coming on such short notice," he began. "I will come straight to the point. As you are all aware, there have been several dungeons across the world experiencing 'dungeon breaks', causing harm to both civilians and military personnel."
The room was filled with murmurs of agreement and concern. This was a serious problem and the representatives could sense the urgency in Mr. John's voice.
Mr. John continued, "The Player Association has decided to implement new measures to prevent and counter these dungeon breaks. This will require cooperation and dedication from all of you, and no compromises will be accepted."
Me John continued, "From our research the dungeons that experienced 'dungeon breaks' has 1 thing in common."
Everyone leaned in closer, ready to hear the crucial information.
Mr. John said while breaking the suspense "Due to those dungeons having unfavourable environment like swamps or difficult to kill monsters for their levels, no player was going in them to clear the dungeon for quite a long time."
There was a collective gasp from the representatives and independent players, the meaning of his words sinking in.
Jasmine and Keshav shared a concerned glance, realizing that the problem was more complex than they had initially thought. Not only were the affected dungeons difficult to clear, but they were also left unchecked for a significant amount of time.
Mr. John continued "For our records the minimum time is 10 days and it increase with strength of dungeon. In first few weeks since the appearance of dungeon every now or then a group of players were going in. But now its already been nearly a month since dungeons appearance and players has info about difficulty of dungeons so visits to difficult dungeons decreased which lead to this outcome."
The representatives were growing more and more anxious, realizing the gravity of the situation they were facing. This information was crucial and they had to come up with a solution quickly.
Jasmine couldn't help but feel a sense of dread creeping up on her. This was more serious than she had imagined, and she knew that the decisions they made in this moment would have a profound impact on the future.
Mr. John said "Player association (government) of all countries had discussed it and came with new set of rules applicable world wide except few countries who decided to make their own rules."
The room fell silent as the representatives waited anxiously for the new rules to be announced. Jasmine and Keshav exchanged another worried glance, both wondering what was to come.
Mr. John continued "The first new rule is
[ Due to power showen by player, it had been decided that players traveling to other countries will need approval from both countries and it will be a difficult and lengthy process." ]
A murmur of surprise and shock rippled through the room. This rule was a stark contrast to the ease of travel between countries that had existed previously. Jasmine and Keshav exchanged a look of disbelief, unsure of what to make of this sudden restriction.
Mr. John let the impact of the first rule sink in before continuing, "The second rule is
[ Due to increase of crime rate by players, it had been decided that all players will now have to wear a device that sends their vitals, location and nearby people to Player Association. Any tampering or removing of this device will be considered as treason for which punishment will be death.]"
The room was now filled with a mix of confusion and fear. The representatives were shocked by the draconian nature of this rule. Jasmine and Keshav were speechless, their minds racing to process the implications.
Mr. John went on to the next rule "The third rule is
[ Due to players having more power compared to citizens and government, its mandatory for all players to register themselves and make their status, class, level, skill and other stats public.]"
Jasmine and Keshav's eyes widened in surprise. Making their personal information public was a huge invasion of privacy. Other guilds and players could use this information to target them, a thought that sent a shiver down their spines.
Mr. John paused, allowing everyone to take in the new rules before continuing. "And the final rule," he said, his voice firm. "Is that
[Due to the power and potential of certain players, these players are prohibited from breeding and reproduction.]"
Everyone's hearts dropped at rule. This rule was a blatant violation of basic human rights. Jasmine and Keshav were furious, their anger rising as they heard these new rules.
While lightning the mood Mr. John said "Sorry it was a little joke from me. Although these rules were proposed in meeting but were not approved. Only 1st rule I said before was approved due to fear of backlash from players"
Relief washed over the room as Mr. John revealed that the last 3 rules was a joke. Jasmine and Keshav let out a sigh, their tense muscles loosening.
However, the worry didn't disappear completely. The fact that these rules were even proposed was a sign of the growing divide between players and government. Jasmine and Keshav knew they had to be careful moving forward.
Mr. John continued "While 1st rule i said was approved and applicable from now, it does not solve the problem of dungeon breaks. So to counter it there are some other rules that were approved."
All eyes were fixed on Mr. John, eagerly awaiting the next set of rules. The tension in the room was palpable.
Mr. John turned serious and said "As majority of players has joined guilds, only few with player association or independent, government has decided that the guilds will be given responsibility of clearing dungeons regularly."
A murmur of surprise rippled through the room. This was a heavy responsibility to put on the shoulders of the guilds, and Jasmine and Keshav were aware that the decision would bring changes to the way they and other guilds operate.
Mr. John added, "The guilds will be given special benefits, resources and powers to efficiently carry out this responsibility. However, failure to do so resulting in dungeon break that harms civilians and military will be deemed as treason."
Mr john continued "The details of this law is:- As minimum time for dungeon break is 10 day. If no player or team cleared a dungeon for 5 days than guild responsible for the dungeon will need to clear it in next 2 days i.e 5th and 6th day from last time it was cleared. If they cleared it, the timer will reset. If they are unable to do so because of valid reason they need to inform player association by the end of 6th day. Then player association will evaluate the cause and decide whether to have some other guild handle it, make a team of few guilds to clear it. The guilds that are asked will need to respond within a day and clear it within 8th, 9th or 10th day. It can change as more research on dungeon break is done."
The representatives were taking in the information, trying to process its implications. It was a lot to absorb, and many had questions but they held their tongues for now. Jasmine and Keshav were already thinking about how this new responsibility would impact their own guild.
Mr. John continued "You all will be notified of dungeons your guild is given responsibility of. Large guilds with 50 or more members can even be given responsibility of 2 or more dungeons"
The room fell silent as the representatives considered this. Jasmine and Keshav created a guildhaving only 12 players, so they would most likely be given responsibility of only 1 dungeon. The thought of managing this new burden was overwhelming.
Mr. John could see the worry on Jasmine and Keshav's faces and turned to them, his expression softening for a moment. "I know this is a lot to take in, and managing a guild is hard. But the Player Association will support you. We'll provide resources, information and backup when needed."
Then mr. John said "Now that laws to prevent dungeon breaks has been told. Its time to tell you all about taxes government has decided about money you earn from dungeons"
