Chapter 16 - Chapter 16

Klee promptly admitted her mistake and stood still, waiting for Jean's scolding.

Looking at Klee, Jean suddenly remembered why Hook had felt so familiar earlier.

It was because of Klee—Jean had seen traces of Klee in Hook.

It wasn't until later, when Hook and Klee teamed up to fish with explosives and accidentally blew up an ancient demon in Liyue, that Jean realized her intuition had been spot on.

But that's a story for another time.

Back to the scene—Jean sighed.

"Klee, it's not that I won't let you go out and play. It's just that Mondstadt hasn't been safe lately. I'm worried you'll run into danger out there."

Klee knew she was wrong, and hung her head in guilt.

"Klee understands, Acting Grand Master Jean."

Ye Yun glanced down at Hook, who was standing beside him, looking curiously at Klee.

Ye Yun chuckled.

"Klee, do you want to go play?"

Klee nodded enthusiastically.

"Mm~!"

Ye Yun said, "Then why not come play with me? There's no danger on my side. Want to go?"

The moment Klee heard she could go play, her eyes lit up with joy.

"Really?! Big brother, can Klee really go with you?"

Ye Yun nodded.

"Really. If you don't believe me, ask Acting Grand Master Jean."

Klee turned to Jean, her little face full of anticipation.

"Really?! Acting Grand Master Jean!"

Jean thought about it. Having Klee stay in the Knights' headquarters all the time wasn't ideal either. Ever since the storm dragon incident, Klee hadn't been allowed outside.

"Alright."

Klee beamed with joy upon hearing that.

"Yay~ Klee gets to go play!"

She happily ran over to Ye Yun's side and looked up at him with anticipation.

"Big brother, where are we going to play?"

Ye Yun patted her head.

"Come on, big brother will take you there now."

Then he turned to Jean.

"Jean, is the place ready? The safe one?"

Jean pointed to her office.

"This way—my office."

Ye Yun nodded and walked into the office to set up the shop portal.

Himeko and Welt had seen this portal before, so they weren't surprised.

But Lumine, Paimon, Lisa, and Jean were quite amazed by it.

Ye Yun explained:

"This door is now fixed in place. You can use it to go to my shop."

He then registered Jean, Lisa, and the others as authorized users.

Paimon twisted the doorknob and indeed saw March 7th and Dan Heng playing chess on the other side.

Dan Heng was playing chess with one hand while scrolling on his phone with the other.

March 7th looked troubled, racking her brain over her next move.

"Whoa! It really is Ye Yun's shop on the other side!"

Without hesitation, Paimon flew right in—after all, Ye Yun's shop had free and unlimited drinks.

Paimon's favorite was the grape juice.

Ye Yun looked at Jean and the others.

"Let's go. Didn't you want to see what I sell?"

Saying that, he took Hook's hand in one and Klee's in the other and walked into the portal.

Himeko and Welt also brought Clara in.

Lisa patted Jean's shoulder.

"Come on, Jean, bring the Primogems and let's go."

Jean picked up the pouch of Primogems that Kaeya and Amber had worked hard to collect the previous night and stepped through the portal.

Lisa had made them work overtime, gathering Primogems from the wild.

Thanks to Amber's knowledge of the terrain, the two had collected a little over 1,000 Primogems in one night.

After giving Lumine 200, Jean and the rest still had over 800.

They entered the portal.

Back in the shop—

Klee looked around curiously with her big eyes.

And when she saw the starry sky outside the window, her gaze locked onto it completely.

"Waaah!!! So many stars! Did Klee fly into the sky?!"

Ye Yun knelt down.

"Do you like it here, Klee?"

Klee nodded vigorously.

"Klee loves it here!"

Then she looked back and suddenly lit up.

She saw Pom-Pom walking toward Jean and the others with several cups of juice in hand, waddling on short legs.

"Little bunny!"

Klee dashed over and circled around Pom-Pom.

"Little bunny, what's your name?"

Pom-Pom looked at Klee seriously.

"I'm not a bunny! I'm the conductor of this train—Pom-Pom! Pom!"

Klee nibbled her finger.

"Oh! So little bunny, your name is Pom-Pom~ Hello, Pom-Pom Bunny! I'm Klee, Spark Knight of the Knights of Favonius. Nice to meet you!"

Pom-Pom sighed. Still stuck with the 'bunny' nickname?

But seeing Klee's innocent face and age, Pom-Pom let it go—kids will be kids.

Just then, Hook came over too.

"Pom-Pom, you also have a bunny nickname?"

Pom-Pom looked at her. Great, another child.

But Pom-Pom had plenty of experience handling kids.

Come on, how many children had Pom-Pom taken care of over the years?

Pom-Pom handed out the juice to Jean and the others, then pulled out a phone and opened a video player.

The next second—

"Pleasant Goat~ Pretty Goat~ Lazy Goat~ Boiling Goat~"

A cheerful children's song began to play. Klee and Hook's eyes were instantly glued to the screen.

Pom-Pom smirked. Got 'em~

Pom-Pom took Klee and Hook to a nearby couch and sat them down to watch cartoons together.

Jean cast an admiring look at Pom-Pom—this was the first time she'd seen Klee sit so quietly.

It was a scene she had never imagined.

Klee, quietly watching cartoons, completely still on the sofa.

Just then, Lisa patted Jean's shoulder.

"Jean, don't forget why we're here."

Jean snapped back to reality and turned to Ye Yun.

"Ye Yun, what should we do next?"

Ye Yun led them to the mini-bar and activated the touchscreen.

"Do you have anything in mind that you'd like to buy?"

Jean said, "We want something that could enhance the strength of the Knights of Favonius. Do you have anything like that?"

Ye Yun thought for a moment and tapped on the screen.

Soon, a product appeared on the display.

"Take a look at this."

Jean and Lisa looked at the screen:

[Product: Wind Spirit Technique] Function: A basic cultivation technique from a fantasy world. Practitioners can gain the power to control wind. Price: 2000 Star Coins

Lisa read the description aloud.

"Fantasy world? What kind of world is that, Ye Yun?"

Ye Yun explained:

"Fantasy worlds are mid-tier at the very least among the many realms in the cosmos. In those worlds, peak cultivators can shatter eternity and reduce entire universes to dust with a snap of their fingers."

Realizing that Lisa and Jean might not fully grasp the concept of a universe, Ye Yun added:

"A universe contains countless planets. And Teyvat? At most, it's the size of a single planet."

After hearing that, both Jean and Lisa were stunned. They hadn't expected the fantasy world to be so powerful.

Lisa said, "Jean, let's start with this one. If we have money left, we can browse some more.

Besides, isn't Mondstadt the land of wind?"

Jean nodded without hesitation, pulling out the Primogems to make the purchase.

***

Jean took out the Primogems.

"How many Primogems do you need?"

Ye Yun pointed to a nearby exchange scale.

"This is the place to exchange Primogems for Star Coins. One Primogem equals ten Star Coins. You can put as many as you want on the scale to exchange."

Lisa naturally said, "Of course, we'll exchange all of them."

She looked at Ye Yun and chuckled, "After all, these Primogems are only valuable when we spend them in your shop, right?"

Ye Yun smiled and joked, "Then I better work harder to promote my products and get more business from you."

Jean exchanged all her Primogems, a total of 8,360.After paying for the Wind Spirit Art, they had 6,360 Star Coins left.

Jean took the Wind Spirit Art and started flipping through it. It was very detailed, with clear instructions on how to cultivate.

"This is great. With the Wind Spirit Art, the overall strength of the Knights of Favonius will improve."

Lisa stretched lazily, sitting on a high stool, resting her chin on one hand, and crossing her legs.

"Jean, maybe we shouldn't give the Wind Spirit Art to every knight directly."

Jean looked puzzled. Wouldn't letting all knights cultivate the Wind Spirit Art improve their strength? Wouldn't that be a good thing?

"Lisa, what are you thinking?"

Lisa said, "Jean, not everyone in the Knights is truly loyal to Mondstadt."

Jean suddenly understood.Indeed, she hadn't considered that. The Knights had a mix of people, and not all were loyal to Mondstadt. Giving such a powerful technique to the wrong people could cause trouble.

At this moment, Ye Yun chimed in, "I have a suggestion."

Jean and Lisa looked at him.

"Ye Yun, what's your idea?"

Ye Yun said, "There's an old saying from my homeland: in the face of absolute power, all schemes are jokes."

Lisa looked intrigued, "And then?"

Ye Yun continued, "So, I suggest you buy some items that can enhance individual combat strength."

Lisa smiled, "Ye Yun, are you trying to squeeze every coin out of us?"

Ye Yun didn't deny it, "Of course. I'm a businessman, but you'll benefit too, won't you?"

Lisa chuckled, "Then you'd better show us some good stuff~"

Ye Yun raised his eyebrows, "Naturally. Come, let me show you a few items."

He tapped the touchscreen and displayed several products:

– Magic Sword– Devil Fruit– Complete Magic Compendium– Constitution-Enhancing Fruit

Jean and Lisa looked through them one by one until both their eyes locked on an item called "Magic Heart."

[Item: Magic Heart. Function: Harmonizes internal magic and increases magic attack by 10%. Price: 5000 Star Coins]

This item could potentially heal Lisa's body. Although Lisa was powerful in magic, her body couldn't handle the strain. Every spell she cast backfired on her body, which was also why she often felt drowsy—she needed rest to restore her energy and mental strength.

If the "Magic Heart" worked, Mondstadt would gain a powerful force, possibly rivaling a being blessed by the gods.

Jean immediately bought it and handed it to Lisa.

Lisa looked at Ye Yun, "How do I use this thing?"

Ye Yun checked with the system and replied, "It's simple. Just use your magic to connect with it, and it'll automatically bind to the first person who does so."

Lisa teased, "Isn't that risky? What if someone steals it? Will you give us another?"

Ye Yun smiled, "If you know who took it and can't beat them, I'll help you get it back."

Lisa replied, "Deal~"

After that, Jean and Lisa said goodbye to Ye Yun and returned to Mondstadt.

Klee, however, stayed behind to play. Mondstadt was unstable right now, and it was actually safer for Klee to stay here.

After a short rest, March 7th and Dan Heng used the portal to return to the surface of Belobog.

They went straight to Boulder Town to find Stelle.

At Natasha's clinic in Boulder Town…

Stelle squatted in front of the spirit incubator, eating a bowl of white rice with leafy greens.

She took a few bites and thought, this food in the underworld really isn't that great. Apparently, they only got rice and greens after Ye Yun arrived. Before that, people were eating tough, awful stuff—some things not even edible, according to Natasha.

Soon, the door opened, and March 7th and Dan Heng walked in.

Stelle greeted them, "Did you two eat yet? Want someone to get you a bowl of food?"

March 7th looked at the plain rice and greens in Stelle's bowl, "No thanks, we just ate on the train."

When Stelle heard "on the train," her brain couldn't process it. Back to the train? But this place is so far from the landing point.Did they use Ye Yun's landing craft? No, the timing doesn't match—it couldn't be that fast.

"How did you go back?"

She took another bite of rice and veggie, staring at them.

March 7th said, "Ye Yun set up a portal at Svarog's place. Just step through and you're in his shop."

Stelle immediately became interested in the portal.

She looked at the plain food in her hands.

No more of this! I'm going back for a proper meal!

But then she remembered—her little spirit hadn't hatched yet.

Fine, she'd make do for now. Once her spirit hatched, she'd go back for a feast.

The three of them chatted casually for a while.

Then suddenly, the lights in the clinic flickered.

The three quickly took defensive stances.

A moment later, the sound of electricity crackled, and a holographic projection of Silver Wolf appeared in front of them.

"Hey, long time no see, Stelle."

March 7th immediately reacted, "Stellaron Hunter! How dare you show your face! I'll teach you a lesson!"

Silver Wolf glanced at March 7th dismissively, completely ignoring her. She asked Stelle directly, "Stelle, where did you get that game cartridge last time?"

Stelle responded without thinking, "Found it in a trash can. Why? You already beat it?"

Silver Wolf nodded, "Yeah, just like you said. I got a skill—Deflect."

Stelle gave a thumbs-up, "Knew you'd nail it. So why are you here now?"

Silver Wolf said, "I want to know if you have more game cartridges like that."
