Let's go back a month before all this started. I was playing this game, and there was a power outage, and before I knew it 'boom' I was here.
There was no god's mistake, there was no hero summoning nor was there a proper conversation with a higher-level entity who made me his plaything. Like just thrown here without a damn idea why. Well, that is all fine but why this guy?

Oops, that came out louder than I expected, and the girl showing me my accommodation flinched. I had entered the body of Will Dye and his memories came as if both my and his soul were merged, at least that is what I can infer. For now, I apologized to the petite girl with a single horn protruding from her forehead. An Oni race girl who was assigned to show me slowly nodded and took me to a three-sharing room with furnished beds, study tables with individual lighting and three wardrobes with it's keys dangling. The girl just made a sign with her hand to room no 11 and she left as I entered the room. It was spacious and the other two beds were unoccupied, meaning until then I am to stay alone, not that I am sad or anything as I liked being alone better.
I opened my status window again while lying on the bed next to the window sill that opened the view to the backside of the academy which was full of large trees and thick greenery and to my dismay, it was the same.

For my better life, I had to make connections, rich connections that I can latch onto, also make a team that helps me survive these 4 years and possibly beyond. Because with my stats and unique skill, I didn't have the freedom of living, rather I had to struggle to survive. So I started preparing for what's to come, I currently have about 2 people in my mind that I can approach but with my skill, they will not even cast a glance at me. So to gain their attention I will do well in the first year midterm practical exam where we will be fighting against monsters in a party setup. But I also didn't want to clash with the original timeline and Leonidas's team for Mid-terms. So I should recruit some mobs who work well with my skill and the party should have synergy.
I first went through my stuff I have brought as I can't ask anybody else for anything. After looking into my bags what I found was a bunch of casual clothes, two formal sets consisting of a black suit and another brown one, other than that there were things like notebooks, pens, pencils, a tab, and one mobile. There were also toiletries in a separate bag and money...yes finally the good part, but it was disappointing to look at as I had 1500 crystals. These crystals were found after subjugating Mist and they also acted as a power source for almost all the things in this world. These crystals were amalgamations of mana and thus were used as batteries for all the devices that used mana to run. There was three types of crystals low level, mid level and high level. The level depends on the purity of the crystals and what I had were low-level ones.
Now since I haven't played the game by taking the lore very seriously, I needed to document everything I remember before I forget more. So first I downloaded a map on my tab and marked the Mist regions that I remembered with a small description of what the theme of this mist was. Then I jotted down some major anchors of the storyline that must not be changed at any cost otherwise I being a mob might not survive. And then came the party problem, a party with teammates excluding the ones Leonidas has. This was difficult as there were already only 6 people in our class while 3 members were Leo's team and the other 3 were kinda weird?...

candidate 1: Fylania phoenix
unique skill: Sacrificial outburst
Skill that uses the Embers of the phoenix bloodline to ignite the body and cause a massive explosion
Ohh you may think that's awesome but the problem is she can only use this skill once because she did not inherit the resurrection ability that comes as a bloodline skill even though she is of the Phoenix bloodline. So just a one time nuke.
candidate 2: Noburikata
Unique skill: Extreme regeneration
Can regenerate any part and any damage as long as it does not go beyond the endurance threshold
Ohh this guy will be super awesome you may think, he is actually the perfect meat shield anyone could ask for as he had SS level endurance because of his Orc and troll inheritance. And he was the son of Malikata, a Maelmist tier Admantine rank mistrider. But the problem was his intelligence which was F- meaning he would not understand 90% of what you say. So basically an uncontrollable meat shield who may or may not be present when you need him.
And by the way, Mistriders had tiers which showed how much longer they could stay in the Mist without getting mana infection that is caused due to exposure to Excessive mana. And they were

Haze tier
Mire tier
Maelmist tier
Where Maelmist is the highest and Drizzle tier is the lowest.
And the rank of Mistriders depended on their levels ranging from Iron and going till Obsidian

Now let's talk about the third candidate, I don't even know if we can call him a candidate, well here goes
candidate 3: Slime
unique skill: Slime
I don't know what that Academy founder was thinking when he brought this guy but yes we have a Slime as a classmate and we don't have any interaction with this guy except that one time when we are passing through the pathway and we ask for the slime to make way and the guy does make way. So maybe he does understand us but I can't think of that guy as a teammate, at least not yet. As I was jotting down the details and thinking about the future, there was a knock on the door.
I got up and opened the door to find the same Oni girl wearing casual clothes, a frock with blue flower patterns all over it making her look quite cute.
"I'm sorry, I forgot this earlier but this is the uniform according to your measurements. Hope I didn't disturb you"
I just took the two sets of uniforms from her hands "No worries, it happens so your shift is over?"
The girl just nodded with a smile "Yes, now then I hope you have a good day tomorrow and if you have any requests you can approach the dorm reception which is the middle building"
I nodded "Yes sure, thank you and have a nice day" The girl just bowed and left as I closed the door.
Tomorrow is the first day and I get to meet the first rich individual I might latch onto. I looked at my uniform, it was grey blazer and pants with white shirt, and there was even a waistcoat. It was neatly ironed so I just kept it on my study table and jumped to my bed.
Tomorrow is gonna be a big day and since Leonidas is brought to the academy after a week by the academy founder I don't really know what happens. I just hope it isn't anything wacky, who am I kidding this is the lowest-ranked academy and there can't be anything wacky to pull saying this I went to the embrace of the Sleep goddess.
