"Oh my God... That was crazy, Kid. You're a hero" Micheal laughed placing his hand on the shoulder of Ji-Ho who had taken off his bunny bear head mask.
"Hero? She almost choked the life out of me back there" Ji-Ho was still trying to get his head straight.
She was wiping out chucks of his ability points like it was nothing.
He lost a total of 175 XP just to defend himself for a few minutes.
What if the fight had been prolonged?
He had only 255 XP left and needed to be careful until tomorrow when he could scale through the daily mission and claim the reward.
"It's totally unexpected, Kid. How on earth was she there and did you see her in the uniform? Does she work in Kim and Kang Technologies now?" Micheal asked, concentrating on his driving.
Ji-Ho was having the same thought sighed and answered, "I'm utterly confused as you. The escort is her friend. She goes by the name Jang Mi"
"Jang Mi?" Micheal's eyes dimmed as he suddenly remembered, "Apex Group?"
"Yes. She is a member and the stupidest of them" There was a hint of resentment in Ji-Ho's eyes.
"Oh... I now see why you beat the living shit outta her. You surviving fighting the Chairman's Daughter, that's a good thing"
Ji-Ho snapped at him, "Don't motivate me. That's only the tip of her powers. She could have burnt me with flames instead of telekinesis"
"Flames?" Micheal asked and he immediately realized Micheal didn't know.
He only knew Kim Nana's telekinesis ability was at a terrifying level but had no idea she wields multiple abilities and only used them behind closed doors.
"Nothing... I mean she is dangerous" Ji-Ho hurriedly said and wasn't sure if to tell Micheal about it.
They would clearly not survive if she went all out on them with the abilities he knew her to possess.
This is the reason she would have an upper hand over him.
His Basic stat ability required close contact to engage a target but she just tried to chock life out of him while standing in the distance.
He needed skills. Skills to attack targets from a distance instead of pulling at them.
But then, the skills of destruction feared him and he was anxious concerning when he would achieve his first skill.
Was it a tab that contained obtained skills to kill people?
Ji-Ho was lost in thought when Micheal cursed, "What the fvck! She is following us"
He was looking keenly through the side mirror.
Ji-Ho was shocked and wore his head mask before stretching out of the window to see a red vehicle following them from the distance at an insane speed.
"No, No, No. This shouldn't be happening. He was going to waste more XP if this fight continues and he knows the end of it.
He was going to lose.
Battling Kim Nana with his current ability was suicidal
" Can you go faster than this? We cannot let her get to us" Ji-Ho panicked.
Micheal gripped the wheels and lamented, "This is the best I can go, kid. That is a fvcking Ferrari 296 GTS. It would no doubt catch up with us.
Ji-Ho face turned pale and he brushed his fingers through his hair, "What if I take you and fly away? I can do that"
He had never seen Kim Nana show a flying ability before so he could only think of this to avoid fighting her"
"You don't get it, Kid. There are things inside this vehicle that can lead back to us. I need to trash it completely" Micheal explained hurriedly and watched the car get closer from behind.
"Can you drive? I'll try to attack her with the RPG" He added.
"No, and No" Ji-Ho disagreed, "She has telekinesis and can easily redirect the rockets to kill us"
His Defense might not be strong enough to defend them then.
"Then we have to do something, Kid. We got PVC plastic barrels behind and could try throwing it at her vehicle" Micheal said to him.
"Micheal, you don't go throwing things at a telekinesis user" When Ji-Ho replied, he stretched out of the window to see the Ferrari 296 GTS still closing on them and Kim Nana was seated on the bonnet.
With his Sight ability, he could clearly the murderous look on her beautiful face.
Who was driving then?
He looked clearer with his ability and was shocked.
No one.
This made him even more scared.
"Micheal, we have to go separate ways. That's the only way we survive this. You take the truck and go as fast as you can. I'll try to distract her to follow me " He explained, climbing into the truck box behind them.
"What? Are you trying to be a martyr or something?" Micheal almost screamed.
"I can fly Micheal" Something he hasn't seen her do and can use to secure his escape.
"Alright. Go kick her ass, Superboy" Micheal motivated him and pressed his foot even stronger on the accelerator.
Ji-Ho had no time to argue with him so he casually said, "Keep the vehicle steady. I'll direct you"
"Whatever you say, Kid"
Ji-Ho entered the truck box and could see the blue PVC drums arranged there.
He unlocked the double door but didn't push it open.
He carefully peeped through the small hole with concentration and could clearly see Kim Nana on the approaching vehicle.
She was really close now.
"Micheal, drive left a little" He could tell her vehicle was trying to overtake the truck from that direction.
The immediate action from Micheal caused a frown to appear on her face.
Ji-Ho quickly arranged two PVC drums in front of the double door and watched the pursuing vehicle moving behind to close in on the distance again.
He might not be as powerful as Kim Nana but has learned to apply intelligence in using his ability.
Kim Nana wasn't using her telekinesis ability to attack the truck, that could only mean that was what she was using in driving.
Mind telekinesis? Isn't that only common among old men who are said to be at the peak of their gifted ability?
The more he unraveled about her, the scarier she became.
"Go!" He commanded Micheal who got the signal and quickly increased the speed of the vehicle.
Ji-Ho flicked his foot twice activating 2x speed and applied strength in kicking the two blue barrels that lay side by side in front of him.
They flung out, slapping open the double door, and whooshed through the air.
The speed at which they moved was the same as Ji-Ho's 2x movement speed.
Kim Nana had her concentrate on the truck.
She had tried to overtake the truck but was interrupted and couldn't use her telekinesis yet.
She was sure she would overtake the truck and then concentrate her telekinesis on it.
What she did not expect was what happened next.
Two materials had shot out of the truck in front of her and were targeted at her.
A normal gifted would have no time to react to the speed but her eyes were sharp enough to notice the slightest movement.
Kim Nana swayed her body to the right and narrowly escaped getting knocked over.
The PVC barrels bounced on the bonnet of the vehicle and flew over.
She slowly lifted her head to the masked figure standing inside the box of the moving truck and he was carrying another PVC barrel in his hand.
He hurled it at her and her pupil dilated because of the speed the material had moved.
Who exactly was this person?
She had seen him move fast, fly in the air, and then had a deflecting type of ability.
This was the first time she had met such a gifted person in all of Seoul City.
Only a few gifted barely had two abilities but she has seen him use three different moves at her.
This alone made her determined to unravel the face behind the mask.
The vehicle stopped on the spot as she disconnected her mind telekinesis and stretched her hand.
The barrel stopped midway and Ji-Ho flew out of the vehicle into the air.
Micheal noticed this and fired the truck even faster, "I'm counting on you, Kid"
Kim Nana didn't hesitate to redirect the barrel straight at Ji-Ho at a faster speed.
He flicked his legs and ducked to the left before landing on the ground.
"You!" She sneered and made to move her telekinesis ability to him but he whooshed away.
"Coward!" She yelled and jumped down from the vehicle.
Her fingers sparkled with blue lightning and she took a running stance but the corner of her eyes caught the CCTV by the roadside.
The lightning vanished from her fingers and she tried to control her breathing.
Then the phone in her pocket began to buzz loudly.
She could easily tell who was calling and that was the one thing that could make her give up the chase on those criminals.
Kim Nana entered the vehicle and took the call without even checking out who the caller was, "It's mom again, isn't it?"
"The symptoms are showing again. Why don't you stay here? This is your mother we're talking about Nana," A voice yelled at her from the other end of the phone.
"Don't talk to me like I don't know," She fired back, "I'll be there in an hour. Let the Doctor keep her stable till then"
"We need you, Nana. Your mother needs you here" The voice had become soft now.
"Don't you ever get it" She screamed aloud and visible tears now appeared in her eyes, "My father must never find out about what I'm doing. He'll kill me"
"Do you prefer your mother to die instead?"
"Just shut up Auntie Iseul! " She hung up the call on dropped her head.
When she raised it, she began to punch the steering furiously and scream, "FVCK! FVCK! FVCK!.... "
