Chapter 7: I'm Just an International Detective Passing Through

The power of a Stand, besides the user's own abilities and type, is also judged based on six stats: destructive power, range, durability, speed, precision, and growth potential. Each of these stats is ranked from A to E.

The Stand Silver Chariot, with a destructive power of only C, is enough to deal with ordinary people but is weak like a chick when facing other Stands, especially one as powerful as Crazy Diamond with an A-level destructive power, like the Stand of Jōsuke Higashikata.

If he had decided to confront Toyohiro Tomoko directly, he could have done it easily since he had the chance even outside the door. But instead, he chose to psychologically torment her. The most crucial thing is that the information he gathered was completely wrong.

Then, he was caught.

Even knowing that Jōsuke Higashikata was a Stand user, he didn't bother to investigate the nature of the opponent's ability before rashly attacking. It can only be said that, after 20 years of criminal experience, being caught every time is not unjust.

The claim of an IQ of 160 seems like a joke.

Just watch and see.

"I'm getting old and still having to work the night shift. This is really going to take my old life away."

An elderly man in a police uniform rode a bicycle to the door of Jōsuke Higashikata's home, grumbling about how time doesn't spare anyone while holding his back as he opened the door.

Maybe it was fate, or maybe it was destined. While Jōsuke was waiting for Jotaro Kujo to arrive, his grandfather, Toyohiro Ryōhei, just happened to come home.

"Don't move! Jōsuke, you little brat! It's clearly school time, why aren't you at school?"

When Ryōhei entered, he saw Jōsuke playing on his Nintendo Entertainment System. Furious, he immediately pulled out his handgun from his waist and pointed it at Jōsuke's head.

"Did you skip school?!"

"Grandpa, I think you should avoid making such dangerous moves."

Jōsuke was so scared by his grandfather's actions that he let go of the game controller in his hand.

"I didn't skip school! I'm going soon. I'm just waiting for someone right now."

"Put that down, it might go off!"

Seeing that Jōsuke was frightened, Ryōhei immediately chuckled and said, "You idiot Jōsuke, you got tricked. This is a toy gun."

"You scared me to death, mom's in the kitchen, go bother her."

Seeing his grandfather's mischievous look, Jōsuke said, as if comforting a child, "Alright, alright, I'll play with you."

"Hahaha, you fool Jōsuke, you fell for it again. I'm not playing with you."

From the eyes of the Stand trapped in the bottle, Angelo, who had been panicked due to being captured, revealed a bloodthirsty grin.

There's a saying: The person who understands you the most is actually your enemy.

I know everything about the Toyohiro Police Officer.

I've found the way to escape!

Hahahaha, Jōsuke Higashikata, you're dead!

Angelo's confidence stemmed from his Stand's ability—so long as there was no direct combat, his power was extremely annoying.

It has no physical form, dissolves in water, and can control water.

At this moment, the TV broadcasted a news report: "Since today, there have been 7 sudden deaths in the town."

Jōsuke thought this news was a bit strange but didn't pay it much mind, while Toyohiro Ryōhei put aside his playful attitude, and his eyes became sharp.

"This news, I can sense the smell of crime. My instincts tell me there are dangerous elements lurking in this town."

Ryōhei's words didn't catch Jōsuke's attention. To him, his grandfather was just a playful, carefree old man, always joking around and waiting for retirement.

He didn't know that his grandfather had once been a protector of the peace in Morioh Town.

Jōsuke, distracted by the news, didn't notice that the bottle trapping Silver Chariot was slowly filling with a murky liquid that could be seen by anyone.

Just then, Jotaro Kujo arrived. Jōsuke hurried to open the door, but he overlooked the bottle on the coffee table, which had now completely changed.

At the moment Jōsuke left the room, a large "K" logo appeared in the center of the bottle.

It was the logo of Brandy, which Toyohiro Ryōhei always drank after his shift.

Ryōhei, seeing the bottle, subconsciously picked it up and was about to twist the cap and enjoy a drink.

'I don't remember leaving a bottle of brandy here. It must have been Jōsuke sneaking a drink. He's grown up now.'

'I wonder when he'll bring home a girlfriend or something.'

His fingers were already on the bottle cap.

If he opened it, Angelo's Stand would escape.

At that moment, Jōsuke and Jotaro were talking outside.

Click—the sound of the bottle cap being twisted.

Good, I'm saved.

Angelo was overjoyed.

If everything went according to his plan, not only could he escape, but he could also take revenge.

He had already decided that he would have Silver Chariot disguise itself as brandy, enter Ryōhei's body, and kill the old cop who had captured him.

For Angelo, the first thing after escaping was to kill!

A loud crash sounded as a stone shattered the window, drawing everyone's attention. Even Ryōhei, who was about to drink, stopped in his tracks.

Then, a swift figure leapt through the broken window.

A deep, yet somewhat youthful voice called out:

"Hey, old man. That thing in your hand isn't alcohol. It's a very dangerous thing."

"Who's there?"

It wasn't until the window shattered that Jōsuke suddenly remembered the bottle containing the trapped Stand. He hurried inside the room with Jotaro.

What they saw was a figure dressed in a fine black suit and sunglasses—Yamcha.

"Interpol."

Yamcha said, expertly pulling out his credentials from the right pocket of his suit and showing them to Jotaro and Jōsuke, but his expression couldn't be seen due to the sunglasses.

"I'm with the National Strategic Defense and Logistics Bureau, Special Abilities Investigation Division, ID Number 4399, Code Name: Black Suit."

Without giving Jotaro or Jōsuke a chance to speak, Yamcha continued a long list of impressive-sounding titles.
