Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: A Path of His Own

Two weeks passed like flowing wind.

Within the silence of his courtyard, Xiao Feng immersed himself in training. The Wind God's Scripture refined his Dou Qi with relentless precision. Day and night, he honed his sword techniques and strengthened his control over Wind and Thunder Wings.

His body grew more agile, his blade sharper, and his Dou Qi even denser.

> Current Cultivation: 2-Star Dou Zhe

Energy Points per Day: 20,000

Total Energy Points: 426,000

The change in strength wasn't dramatic to the outside world—Xiao Feng remained as invisible as ever—but inside, he had undergone another transformation. His instincts were sharper, his presence lighter, and even beasts began reacting to the wind that moved around him.

Despite being only seven years old, his control, mindset, and progress rivaled adults in their twenties.

But Xiao Feng didn't let it go to his head.

After training one evening, he sat alone under the tree, Stormedge resting across his lap. The moon above cast soft shadows across the courtyard.

He began to organize his thoughts.

> "I can't grow here forever."

The Xiao Clan was peaceful—for now—but it was also limiting. The training grounds were basic, the teachers unremarkable, and the atmosphere too complacent. His growth was already beginning to outpace what the city could offer.

He had no friends here. No ties. No obligations.

Even Xiao Yan, considered the clan's golden child, had never exchanged more than a glance with him. Xiao Feng held no particular feelings toward the boy—neither resentment nor admiration.

> "Let him walk his path. I'll walk mine."

He would remain indifferent, just like the wind—passing by, never lingering.

But his own road? It led beyond these walls.

His eyes narrowed as he made his decision.

> "It's time to head into the Magic Beast Mountain Range."

That untamed wilderness bordering Wu Tan City held countless dangers—but also powerful magical beasts, rare herbs, hidden opportunities, and battle experience no training yard could offer.

He would go there not just to grow stronger—but to sharpen himself. To train under pressure. To walk the edge between life and death.

That night, he prepared quietly.

From the system shop, he bought a few essentials:

Healing Pills (3rd Tier) – 10,000 points

Wind Cloak – A special cloak that enhances wind concealment. 15,000 points.

Map of the Outer Magic Beast Range – 1,000 points

> Points Remaining: 400,000

By morning, he was ready.

He left a simple note on his door—no explanation, no goodbye. Just silence.

As the sun rose over Wu Tan City, Xiao Feng disappeared from the Xiao Clan compound like a breeze—no one saw him leave.

No one even noticed.

---

Far beyond the city walls, amidst the howling trees and distant roars of magical beasts, a lone figure landed silently on a tree branch. Wind and lightning flickered briefly behind his back before vanishing.

He looked out at the vast, wild expanse before him.

A faint wind stirred his cloak as he stepped forward.

> "Let's begin."
