"DEATH, DEATH, I ONLY WANT THAT NOW... PEACE IS TAKEN. IF THINGS WERE DIFFERENT, IF THINGS HAD BEEN BETTER."

A single tear fall from his left eye.

"THERE IS NO LOVE ANYMORE, ONLY THE HATE THAT SEEKS REVENGE."

He breaks down in tears overwhelmed.

(Five Years Earlier)

The door creaks open slowly.

"Uff! New home… it's quite beautiful, huh? Even if it's small."

He place the suitcase down beside the couch.

"Marie, Marcus! Come inside!"

"I'm coming," marcus replies.

"Where's your mom, Marcus? Doesn't she want to come inside? What's she doing out there?"

He looks at the boy curiousily.

"She's looking at flowers," Marcus says casually.

"FLOWERS?! WHAT?!"

He stroms outside.

"Marie, what the hell are you doing? Come inside—there's a lot of chores to do!"

He walk towards her.

"Marie! Marie! Are you alright, hon?"

"Yeah, sorry. I was just looking at the flowers… the garden outside this compartment is beautiful. I'll come inside now, sorry again."

She rushes inside quickly

"Basically, there are two rooms, I see," Mariesays, inspecting the layout.

"Yeah. Marcus will take the other one. It's not only perfect for him, but he even said it fits his taste."

He releases the hug with a smile.

Marcus sits on his bed. Holding a photo of his grandparents . Davidson enterstheroomandleans against the wall.

"Marcus! Can I come in?"

"Sure," Marcus replies,looking up.

"So, kiddo! How's your room? Do you like it?"

"Yeah, it's pretty awesome. I already told you that."

Davidson notices the photo in his hand.

"If you don't mind, can I take a look at that?"

"Sure."

Davidson sits beside himon the bed. And examines the photo.

"Hmm... So, kid. Do you miss them?"

"Yeah… kinda." Marcus looks down. "I hope they're doing well in India."

Davidson pats Marcus on the shoulder.

"They're fine, okay? No need to worry. They're strong people."

"Hey Papa, are they fighting against the British now?" Marcus asks curiously.

Davidson chuckles.

"Maybe. We can't guarantee anything with them."

Marcus chuckles too. Davidson hands the photo back and stands up.

"Hey, Papa!"

He turns back from the door.

"What is it, Marcus?"

"When will we go back to India to see them?"

He smiles gently.

"Soon enough."

He opens the door and leave.

That night ,during dinner...

Davidson stands up from his chair.

"So... my dear Marie, and my son Marcus—tonight is our first night in a new life!"

they both giggles.

"Yeah, yeah. Big speech. Sit and eat already!" Marie says playfully.

Marcus burst into laughter.

later that night....

Davidson and marie lie in bed. Facing each other,

"Hey, hon," She says softly

"What is it?"

"Did you plan anything? Jobs? Marcus's school?"

"I don't know. You'll have to figure some of it out. I came to this country based on your opinion, Marie. I thought the UK was better, but… this is your birthplace, so maybe you know more. As for a job, I'll check tomorrow. Some company might be desperate for someone like me."

He smirks.

She smiles back.

"There's a local school nearby. I'll check it out tomorrow for Marcus's admission. And for the job—you really shouldn't carry everything on your own," Marie says firmly.

"You don't need to worry. I can manage it, okay?"

She places finger on his lip.

"Shhh... I know. It'll be okay. Don't worry."

They hold each other gently.

THE NEXT MORNING..

"Hey, hey! It's 6:00 AM already.marie shakes Davidson to awake.

She gets up,washes her face, and heads to Marcus'sroom.

"Wake up, baby. Get up!"

Marcus yawns.

"Let me sleep five more minutes..."

She sighs.

"Nope, nope. Time to get up!"

Davidson enter's still half sleep.

"Marcus," He calls,eye barely open.

"You're a real mess," marie teases him with a smile.

She pulls marcus out of the bed.

"Mom! What are you doing?!"

"Just waking you up.

Davidson leans against wall sleepily. Marie slaps his arm playfully.

"Get up already!"

They all wash up to begin the day. After praying together, marie cooks while,Davidson approaches from behind.

"Hey."

she glances at him.

"Food's not ready yet!"

"No, no. It's not about that."

"Then what?" She asks stirring the pot.

"The thing we discussed last night. Remember? The job..."

"Oh, that."

"Back in Britain, the church helped me get a job. I was thinking—is there any church nearby here?"

"Hey, the church isn't some kind of job application center," She replies, raising an eyebrow.

"No, I didn't mean that. I just think... if we go regularly, we'll build a good relationship with the priest. That's what helped me last time. I donated, volunteered—they appreciated it."

She gives him a stern look.

"Are you planning to use God as a tool?"

"No! It's not like that. It's about community. Trust me—I collaborated on many things with the church back in Britain. They were happy."

She softens.

"Okay."

He smiles in relief.

"So… do you know any nearby church?"

"Yes. I know one."

He kisses her cheek from behind and walks onto the balcony.

He notices marcus gazing outside, sightseeing with wonderDavidson smiles.

"I don't understand why you called this compartment a world yesterday," Marcus says with puzzled expression.

"Why are you smiling?" he adds.

"Because... it's a dream world, everyone wants," Davidson replies, gazing out at the view.
