"Meow!"
A tiny calico kitten marched into the warm, cozy cottage as if she owned the place, her fluffy bobtail held high in confidence. Nora, seated at her cluttered desk of papers and laptop, barely looked up from her notes. Two other cats were already napping on her papers.
"Again?" she sighed, rubbing her temples before getting up.
For months now, stray cats had been showing up at her doorstep like an infestation—except instead of rats, it was an ever-growing army of furballs. Every attempt to remove them had failed spectacularly.
She held up the latest intruder, dangling it at arm's length with an expression of pure exhaustion. "Where are you all coming from?"
She had tried everything—shooing them outside, locking the doors, even dropping them off at the local shelter. But without fail, every single one returned by morning, wailing at her windows until she let them back in.
She wasn't against cats or had any dislike towards the feline creatures, but that didn't mean she wanted an army of them!
