Chapter 14 - chapter 13 the deeping abyss

The silence that followed felt suffocating. The three of them stood in the same room, the tension palpable, like a storm ready to erupt. Isabelle felt the air close in around her as she tried to process what she had just heard. There were things she hadn't known, things she hadn't even thought to ask about. The top, the bottom, and now herself—entangled in a web of emotions, lies, and desires too complicated to untangle in a single breath.

For a moment, no one spoke. Then, as if drawn by an invisible force, the top moved toward Isabelle, his face softening with regret. His eyes were tired, haunted by the weight of their shared history.

"Isabelle," he said, his voice low and filled with something raw, "there's so much more I need to tell you. So much you don't understand."

Isabelle's lips parted, but the words she'd planned to say caught in her throat. She had come into this situation thinking she knew everything—she had her own secrets, her own fears. But now, standing here, she felt small. A mere player in a game far bigger than she had ever realized.

"I don't understand anything anymore," she replied quietly. "But I'm willing to listen. You've already made me a fool once, so why not again?"

The bitterness in her voice wasn't lost on the top. He winced, his eyes searching her face, as if begging her to understand. But how could she? How could anyone understand the tangled mess they had all created?

The bottom, still standing in the background, finally spoke up. His tone was dark, commanding, but there was something undeniably captivating about him. "You think you know everything, Isabelle. But you don't. Not about me, not about him, and certainly not about what's been happening behind your back."

His words stung, but Isabelle wasn't afraid anymore. She had been caught in the crossfire of their secrets long enough.

"Then tell me," she snapped, turning to face him, her eyes blazing with a new resolve. "Tell me everything. Because at this point, I can't trust either of you. And I don't know if I even want to."

The bottom stepped closer, his presence almost suffocating, yet strangely magnetic. "You'll regret saying that. I promise you, Isabelle, once you know the truth, there's no going back."

Isabelle took a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart. She wanted to be strong, to demand answers, but the way the bottom spoke—so confident, so sure of his power—made her hesitate. Was she ready to dive deeper into their world? A world that had already broken her once?

"You're already too deep, Isabelle," the top added, his voice rough with emotion. "This isn't just about us anymore. It's about you too. It's about all of us."

Isabelle's eyes flicked between the two of them, each man a mystery, each holding a piece of her fate in their hands. She was caught between them, their secrets pulling her in different directions, like two forces too powerful to resist.

"Enough with the games," she said, her voice trembling but determined. "What do you want from me? Why are you doing this to me?"

The bottom smiled, but it was a dark, almost predatory smile. "Because we know what you really want, Isabelle. And we're willing to give it to you. All of it."

The top's gaze shifted to the bottom, an almost imperceptible warning in his eyes. "You don't know what you're asking, Isabelle. There's more at stake here than you can possibly imagine."

Isabelle's heart pounded in her chest. She wasn't just a pawn in their game. She wasn't going to let them decide her fate. She had a choice, didn't she?

But before she could respond, the bottom stepped forward, his eyes locking with hers in an intense gaze that sent a shiver down her spine.

"Do you want to know the truth?" he asked, his voice low and dangerous. "The truth about why you're really here? About what's really been happening between us?"

Isabelle didn't answer immediately. She wanted to scream, to run, but something in his voice held her captive. She nodded, almost against her will.

The bottom smirked, leaning in closer, his lips barely brushing her ear. "The truth is... you were never meant to be the fiancée. You were never meant to be the one he chose. You were always just a distraction, Isabelle. A way to keep his hands clean, to hide the real truth."

Isabelle recoiled, her heart sinking. The words felt like a slap, sharp and cold. She wanted to deny them, to push them away, but deep down, she felt them sink in. The bottom was right—wasn't he? Had she been nothing more than a diversion for the top's deeper, darker desires?

The top's eyes widened, and he stepped toward Isabelle, his hand reaching out as if to stop the bottom from speaking further. "Stop," he commanded, his voice urgent. "That's not true. Isabelle, please listen—"

But Isabelle wasn't listening anymore. The realization had settled in her chest like a stone. She had never been part of their twisted little world—not truly. She was just an outsider trying to fit into a puzzle that didn't need her.

"Is it true?" Isabelle whispered, her voice shaky but filled with a new kind of defiance. "Was I just a distraction to you?"

The top's face paled, his lips trembling with the weight of her question. He looked at her, guilt and regret etched in his eyes. "No, Isabelle. You're... you mean more to me than you know. But there's a reason I've kept you at arm's length. A reason why I couldn't let myself fall completely for you."

The bottom laughed softly, darkly. "Oh, don't lie to her. We both know you never intended to get this close. But it's too late now, isn't it? You're already in too deep. And so is she."

Isabelle felt a pang in her chest. She didn't know who to trust anymore. She didn't know if she could even trust herself.

The room felt like it was closing in on her, the weight of the truth bearing down on her shoulders. Her entire world was unraveling before her eyes, and the two men who had been at the center of it all were both lying to her in their own ways.

But one thing was certain: everything was about to change.

To be continue.....
