Arima said goodbye to Kushina Uzumaki.
To be honest, after being alone for so long, Arima really did wish he had a friend—someone to talk to, to share things with.
But just like he had told Kushina, anyone who got close to him would end up being isolated too.
In Konoha, isolating Arima was considered normal. Anyone who didn't was the odd one out.
So, Arima's refusal to be friends with Kushina was for her own good.
After returning to the small, rundown house that looked like it had been patched up countless times, Arima felt incredibly tense.
Still, he remained calm and asked, "System, when you take over my body to simulate lightning chakra's shape and nature transformation—and all forms of Thunder Breathing—will it make a big scene?"
[Suggestion: Host should move to an open area. The current residence has a 99.99% chance of being destroyed.]
Arima's eyelid twitched violently. Thank goodness he asked. Otherwise, after tonight, he wouldn't even have a place to live.
He left the house and made his way to the edge of Konoha, near a river.
This was where Arima usually trained—almost no one came here.
The trees around were marked with countless scars, all left from Arima's training.
He took a deep breath and said, "System, let's begin. Claim the reward."
[Reward claimed. System will take over host's body in 3 seconds. 3...2...1... Body control acquired.]
Arima felt strange. His senses were incredibly heightened—he could even feel the blood flowing through his veins.
[Simulation start: First simulating lightning chakra shape transformation.]
The system raised Arima's right hand.
First, a mass of chakra began to form in his palm.
Although Arima couldn't control his own body, it still felt as though he was the one moving—like he was personally generating the chakra.
It was a paradoxical and surreal sensation.
Next, the chakra in his hand began to shift.
This was still non-elemental chakra—not yet lightning chakra.
The chakra condensed, gathering at high density. Arima's chakra network was wracked with pain.
But there was no stopping the process. The system-driven simulation continued.
Arima worked to maintain the form of the chakra.
Once stabilized, the system increased the intensity.
Now, it injected lightning-nature chakra into the previously neutral energy.
In an instant, Arima's entire right hand sparked with lightning.
The pain twisted his expression, but he was thrilled.
Because the lightning had not only appeared—it was stable.
That meant he had successfully mastered lightning chakra's shape transformation.
Next came nature transformation.
[Lightning chakra shape transformation simulation complete. Proceeding to nature transformation.]
Chakra nature transformation is about drawing out the element's unique strengths.
Right now, the lightning on Arima's arm looked impressive—but lacked true power.
Once nature transformation was mastered, lightning chakra would gain real shock and paralysis properties. It could also enhance the body, boosting explosive power and piercing ability.
That was what the system was simulating next.
The process was torture.
The system didn't care whether Arima was suffering—so long as it didn't kill him, it kept going.
It felt like thousands of ants crawling through his chakra network, his body buzzing, his skin stinging.
And with his senses magnified, the pain was almost unbearable.
But since the system had full control, he couldn't even scream.
Seconds felt like years.
After what felt like an eternity, a heavenly voice rang in Arima's mind:
[Lightning chakra nature transformation simulation complete. Proceeding to simulate all Thunder Breathing forms. No blade detected. Recommend purchasing a weapon for optimal effect. Would you like to buy one?]
"Buy it!" Arima responded instantly.
A system exchange panel appeared in his vision.
He only had 100 Witness Points—so options were limited.
He bought a standard katana for 10 points.
A meter-long katana appeared in his hand.
[Simulating all forms of Thunder Breathing.]
Arima crouched slightly. Blue lightning chakra wrapped around the blade, and his right leg was also charged—stimulating the muscles.
His breathing shifted, and though the weather wasn't cold, he exhaled a white mist.
"Thunder Breathing, First Form: Thunderclap and Flash!"
His right leg, charged with lightning chakra, exploded in a burst of speed. Lightning crackled like it was tearing through the air—a flash of light shot forward.
In a blink, Arima was five meters away, standing before a massive tree trunk. In a flash step faster than the eye could follow, he unleashed a powerful slash.
The tree was cut clean in half.
Before he could even catch his breath, he moved into the second form.
"Thunder Breathing, Second Form: Rice Spirit!"
As he exhaled, he launched five lightning-shaped strikes in quick succession, turning the falling tree into dozens of pieces before it even hit the ground.
Arima continued chaining forms without pause.
Although the system controlled his body, the pain and strain were all his.
Every muscle in his body screamed as though torn apart.
The surrounding forest wasn't spared either.
High-voltage lightning had set trees ablaze, and many had collapsed.
Arima's head was spinning. He hadn't expected the simulation to cause such a massive disturbance. He was certain the sensory ninja of Konoha would detect this.
After completing the Fourth Form, Arima's chakra was nearly depleted.
But the system forcibly used 30 Witness Points to replenish it and kept going.
From the Fifth Form onward, each strike drained more chakra, requiring constant replenishment.
Now came the final form.
[30 Witness Points used. Chakra replenished.]
"Thunder Breathing, Seventh Form: Flame Thunder God!"
With unimaginable speed, Arima charged forward.
Everything in a straight line—trees, rocks—was cleaved apart.
The path of the slash created a deep-blue lightning dragon, its glow dazzling and awe-inspiring.
