Dave's father, Richard, stood tall in the luxurious living room, his eyes stern. "Dave, you're 20 now. It's time to take responsibility for the family business."
Dave shifted uncomfortably. "Father, I appreciate the opportunity, but my passion lies in art."
Richard's expression darkened. "Art won't pay the bills or secure our legacy. You're expected to lead the company."
Dave's mother, Catherine, intervened. "Richard, perhaps we should listen to Dave's thoughts."
But Richard's mind was made up. "No, Catherine. Dave will do what's best for this family."
