Chapter 12 - Soul Space

Luke thought for a while about the place he had entered during the final stages of his refinement.

The mention of a "higher being" lingered in his mind, intriguing and mysterious.

According to the voice, he had a chance to become one.

"What is a higher being?" he wondered.

Based on his knowledge, it was most likely a higher level of cultivation—something beyond what ordinary cultivators could reach.

Yet, doubts remained, nagging at the edge of his thoughts, refusing to be dismissed.

Hours passed, and Luke finally decided to break through to the Soul Refining Realm.

Surprisingly, it took only seconds for him to ascend to Level Two.

When he entered the Soul Refining Realm, his mind was bombarded with information flowing directly from his own soul and the newly awakened soul space.

Luke sat on the stage like a statue for hours, trying to interpret the flood of information.

His soul was now something special, forged through a hundred refinements.

Just like the words that echoed in his heart—"A hundred refinements. A soul vast and indestructible."—though Luke still didn't know where he had first learned them.

His soul now possessed what felt like an unlimited supply of Qi—but in truth, it was only limited by the amount he could channel at his current cultivation realm.

While not truly infinite, the Qi replenished far faster than he could expend it, making it practically inexhaustible for his current needs.

His newly awakened soul space was just as his father once described—not located within his body, but in a distant, mysterious plane isolated by a powerful, otherworldly energy.

It reminded Luke of what some web novels referred to as the "Heavenly Dao."

This space, though far away, was inexplicably linked to his soul, and he could access it with ease.

What surprised him most was his complete control over it—something not typically possible, even in legends.

But after thinking it through, he didn't find it all that strange.

After all, he was different: he had refined his body without the help of elixirs, refined his soul a hundred times, and more importantly—he was a transmigrator.

His soul space was far larger than what was typically described.

With his current understanding, Luke estimated that his soul space was about the size of a mid-sized city—vast, and expansive.

In contrast, most cultivators at his level would only have soul spaces roughly the size of a large village.

His soul space took the form of a half-sphere, vast and hollow within.

Unlike ordinary cultivators at his level—who could only use their soul spaces rudimentarily to store and retrieve objects—Luke discovered something astonishing.

With a mere thought, his imagination could reshape the very landscape inside: forming terrain, crafting buildings, and molding the space to his will.

But he still couldn't take out what he had created in the Soul Space.

While he could enter the Soul Space virtually without his physical body, he needed to conduct more experiments to determine whether he could store living beings in the Soul Space.
