Chapter 2 - Chapter Two: Hateful glance

The autumn leaves that had fallen earlier brushed past the stranger's feet and onto another pile.

Michka looked up at the stranger who had just awakened her from her beautiful fantasy and drool over Damon.

She noticed he was white 'yuck!', she hated white boys and he was just the perfect combination of what she hated—his white complexion and his stupid carefree attitude.

"Don't make a fuss over it Michka", Jamie said and stood up to leave.

"See you two in class" she said and left shooting a quick grin at Michka who just waved it off.

"What are you looking at?" She's scowled, "if you're new around here know this, don't trip over nothing especially when it has to do with startling people", she snapped and left.

Eero stood there, confused, he had no idea of what Michka had just said; he didn't even know who she was or what her name was,

'what was that all about?' He thought taking off his ear pods that was veiled by his long yellow hair, his green eyes flickering in confusion.

"Wow isn't he hot?"

"Mm I heard he's new; give it a shot Meshley",

"'course I would Maddie" Meshley said blowing out a bubble of gum and chewing it back.

Meshley —the school cheer captain and a 12thgrader, was a mixture of talent and beauty, Leo eyes, Barbie-shaped eyelids, long blonde silky hair and a pale skin.

Her shape was indeed perfect and her face was perfect perfection but she had one deterrent: her character like that of a totally spoiled brat which.. she was indeed.

Flirting with every single hot boy in school was her hobby, and now that Eero had arrived; he was her next target.

Not one to miss an opportunity, she cornered him once he went up to his new locker across the corridor.

"Hello, handsome," she purred, trailing her fingers across his shoulder. "Got a chance tonight?"

He didn't flinch.

Without looking, he gently took her hand off his jacket, then turned to meet her eyes—his gaze cool and cutting.

"Pretty.. irresistible.." his voice loud enough to echo.

"..but I think I'll pass" "What? You think you're pretty" he scoffed "If beauty was a crime, I'd bet u'd be innocent for life"

Silence swept over the hallway.

--Every head turned--

Meshley froze, her smirk dropping. She was now the epicenter of unwanted attention. Eyes burned into her back, whispers already spreading like wildfire.

Her jaw clenched.

Mortified, she spun around with a dramatic flip of her hair, fury blazing in her eyes.

"Kaya!" she snapped.

Her 'school slave' scrambled forward, nearly tripping over herself to scoop up Meshley's books. The crowd parted as Meshley stormed away, heels clicking sharply on the tile, Kaya trailing behind like a shadow.

She slammed the corridor door shut behind her.

From the side, Mia leaned casually against Michka's locker, arms folded, grinning like a devil.

"Well… that was satisfying," she whispered, barely containing her laughter.

"He has to be a Greek god to do that to Meshley" Jamie added, almost loudly, Invoking laughter from those around;

Michka slammed her locker shut and turned to Jamie, "I don't care who he is I'm just glad he put her in her place"

"At least now she won't show her face in cheer practices Mia chimed in.

"mhm.. long enough for me to be the next cheer captain" Michka added.

"Dream on girl, dream on", Mia teased as they walked towards their classroom.

"Com'on, I'd be a better chair captain than her. I've trained my whole life for it" Michka hurled back.

"You sound like Naruto when he was still a hopeless mutant ninja, you could win a prize for your vast imagination, girl".

"Jeeze. What's with you and Naruto, Jamie" Mia rebuked, walking ahead of them.
