Synopsis
In an improbable cosmic fluke, a star is born. Loved by the heavens and with an ego to match, how would one fare in a world far grander than he ever imagined? His family is weirder than most, and heroes are the real deal. His personal philosophy is that he's gotta step up, or get stepped on, and he doesn't mind stepping on others from time to time if it gets him what he wants. (AU) (I own nothing!)

Chapter 1 - A Star is Born

-POV?-

His birth set off an iridescent surge of power throughout the supernatural universe, breathing life and power into every being. Strengthening their essence, their character, and everything that makes them who they are. Gods, mortals, and monsters alike felt the shift. With my own abilities, I can see and feel their shock and surprise.

On Olympus we have Zeus in his paranoia, scrambling to find the reasoning for the change in his kingdom. In that hotel we have Odin, in his vast curiosity peering through the veil's of reality to search for the culprit. In Kamar Taj, we have The "Ancient" one, looking through that small little stone. Even Ra, in his senile state, almost stirred for a moment.

Let's not even get into my other creations, the Abstract Entities.

Said shift wasn't enough to effect the likes of me, but that's a given when you take into account my stature. Even so, this mortal's birth is most peculiar. No mortal should be able to handle the power they've been birthed with, and yet the little thing's almost making it.

Almost.

The child has a few more minutes to live, and unfortunately for the happy mother, not even his father, with all his power, can do anything about it.

But I can.

I can give him life, and so much more. All it would take is a thought, and yet, I hesitate. It's been eons upon eons since I'd interfered so heavily. What makes now any different, aside from this child's curious birth circumstances?

I'm not sure, but it doesn't change anything. I didn't need reasoning so long ago, and I certainly don't need it now.

My creations have intriguing times ahead of them, and shaking the game up even further myself, just this once. And you, you might just be my most interesting creation yet. You're quite fortunate that I'm so willing to help you.

But if I'm to give you a boon, it must be grand, to fit something of my level. Something fitting of your heritage, and of course your immense potential. Something that can grow as you do, and can guide you along your golden path. In fact, I have just the thing in mind. To throw you a little bit of a curve-ball, as my creations say in this era, I must take away that which most demigods have in their little lives.

Don't disappoint me little godling, your mind, body, and soul are well within my reach, and you'll find that nothing can escape it. I am the Advent of Creation. I am the Master of the Living Court, and the Almighty. May your growth be swift, and your life beautiful. I give to you, [Cosmos Reverence].

-POV Apollo (Months Earlier)-

You'd think that being as great as me means that I'm never bored, that entertainment just drops itself right into my lap. My beautiful flowing blonde hair, my chiseled muscles, and divine powers beyond mortal comprehension should make finding it a breeze.

And yet, as I ride my sun chariot across the world once again, I have to wonder where I should drop down for a pit stop. My boredom is climbing through the ceiling, and I don't have anyone to annoy right now. Mother is busy on her island reading her "books", while Arty is with her little girl band traipsing across the northwest. It's even a little saddening, she didn't let me join them, ME!

How can anyone resist letting the glorious God of the Sun join them? My handsomeness is infinite and my archery skills are unmatched. (No matter what my little sister may say).

In retaliation, I considered having my OWN group of hunters. Sis said that it wouldn't work out, but I believe that my own hunters could be far more glorious than Arty's! I even went and pitched the idea to father, but that didn't go so well. He said that having me lead a group of immortal, all male, hunters would be "irresponsible" on his part as a king. (Like he has that many moments as a responsible king anyway, but I digress).

My hunters would be glorious! With Apollo themed merch, singing and archery competitions, along with some casual activities among guys. Renouncing women wouldn't be part of the deal though, as I could never torture my followers to such a degree that I'd deny them the pleasures of the flesh with the opposite gender.

Ah, none of that matters, as I, the great god Apollo, am bored! Using my divine sight I peer across the states to find my "pit stop". "Florida? No, too many crazies. North Dakota? No, that place is just too boring. Detroit? Nah, too many shenanigans, I wouldn't be able to resist vaporizing all the mortals in my immediate vicinity," I said to myself aloud while tapping my chin with my index finger. Maybe I should go for something quieter? Somewhere father won't be focused on too much, and would be more lenient if I messed up? (Not like I will though).

AHA! I've found just the place. One that's mundane, but weird enough that I can't be completely bored. It's called…Arkansas!

No one would even care if anything happened there, it's perfect!

While I've found my destination, I have yet to come up with a goal for my stay. I'm sure I'll find something once I'm there though. Maybe I should become an international criminal? Or perhaps find a nice mortal woman?

Eh, I'll just wing it!

-(Three Months Later)-

To make a long story short, I think I'm in love.

Now, I know what you're saying. "But Lord Apollo, how could you be in love, it's only been a few months?", and to that I'd say, "Who are you to question the divine wisdom of the great Apollo?"

All jokes aside, she's everything I've wanted for the past hundred years. Intelligence with beauty to match, and a singing voice that could even make some gods intrigued. Although, she is a troublesome woman. When we first met, she had the audacity to say that I looked like a womanizer.

Even if it's true, it was a blow to my pride as a deity. I went about the obvious route when it came to meeting her again (I.E., teleporting to her location whenever it would seem like a coincidence), and throughout the next couple of days I spent my life in pure bliss.

Her laugh, her smile, everything about her sang to my divine ears like the greatest symphony I'd heard in centuries. Her name is Loren, a bit mundane sure, but I won't comment on her parents…..interesting naming sense.

I'd even managed to convince her to give me a chance! One date, that's all I asked her for, and she accepted.

I expected no other outcome.

As I think about all of this, I teleport to her location for a date we've planned. The moment I laid my eyes on her, I was subject to a very welcome surprise. She's one of the most beautiful mortals I've ever seen, and if you know me, then you know that's saying a LOT.

Her hair and eyes are a deep dark brown that could almost be considered black, and yet they're so vibrant that it almost confuses my divine senses. Her body is shaped modestly, with not too much in the front or back, but just enough to make sure everyone's satisfied. Even so, I will not be deterred.

I walk through the doors of the restaurant and take a seat across from her, all while she looks at me with an unreadable expression.

"Beautiful night, eh?", I said with a slight chuckle.

"You're so original.", she said with an eye roll and a slight smile, "But I guess it is, yeah. Is that all you have to say to me though, Mr. 'Ladies Man'?"

"Good afternoon Sir and Madam, what would you like to eat?", asked a bald male waiter with a black tuxedo.

"I'll have a nice, cold, water. Don't forget the ice."

"Not going to eat anything?", Loren asked with a quirk of her eyebrow. "Nah, I'm not all that hungry", I replied. "Well I'll take some shrimp with prime rib." She told the waiter, who walked off after giving her a long glance. "Rude, he didn't even give you a nod of respect and a compliment before he left." I said while shaking my head in disappointment.

"And why would he need to do that?" She asked. "Because you deserve to be treated with the proper manners, of course." I said with a confident smile as I slightly adjusted my sunglasses to the right angle. (Even though they were already at the perfect angle). "And what would you know about what I deserve?"

"Not much, but I'd love to know so much more."

-POV Sisters of Fate-

In a corner of the universe known to an infinitesimal quantity of people, where time and space were nothing but suggestions, three beings of great importance were deliberating amongst themselves. Nothing new to anyone who would be aware of this situation, but the circumstances are quite new to all of them. Their skin wrinkled more than a mortal representation of Athena's brain, with hair as white as the clouds Zeus so heavily guards in his domain. The situation at hand is so dire that they've gone as far as to take a break from their duties to discuss it.

"And you're sure this one's under our domain?", Asked Clotho

"For the thousandth time sister, YES!"

"Calm down! I'm thinking...", Said Lachesis

For hours they'd been constantly talking on what they should do with the boy, especially after the death of his mother. The topic of their discussion was remarkable in a lot of ways, but the most important of all is that he wasn't supposed to be born in the first place.

"The boy is a threat to everything we've worked for", Lachesis stated for the tenth time since they'd discovered the anomaly.

"Yes sister." "Most definitely, sister."

"His personality is shaping up to be a horrid mix of his parent's, his existence brought up the difficulty level of our goals, and he may not be enough to deal with the challenges coming our world's way." Lachesis said with a disappointed shake of her head.

"But he's also a possible asset.", Lachesis said, a plan brewing in her mind, "All we have to do is manipulate how history goes just a little bit. Throw some new challenges here, give some mortals help there, and we could get something even better than we originally planned for."

The grins on their faces would give even skyfathers goosebumps.

Somewhere in the mortal world, a beautiful multicolored butterfly flaps its wings for the first time.

-POV Loren-

As I feel the life slipping from me, I've come to the conclusion that I regret nothing. I know that little Noah will go on to live a beautiful life. It's almost as if everything about him radiates light. I can't think of any other way I'd want to go than this. His hair and eyes are just like mine, but they shine so much brighter in this room that only gets darker as time goes on.

Meanwhile, I'm running out of time.

I can feel the weakness creeping through my body, and the corners of the room closing in on my sight. It all started with him, with Apollo. Odd name for a random guy down her in the South, but I've heard weirder.

I almost disregarded him and that ego of his, but to this day I'm not sure why I didn't. It was almost like I was drawn in by some unknown force. I'll miss this, and both of them, but I think I'm ready.

I have to be.

I can't blame Apollo for not being here. The birth was too sudden, and he had to go halfway across the world for a work trip just two days ago. That being said, I will kill him if I find out that he didn't raise our child right.

Goodbye, Noah, Apollo. Let your smiles change the world, and may they never lose their brilliant radiance.

-POV?-

"CATCH UP TO HIM!", screamed a random person in the stands as I sped by.

"IF YOU WIN I'll DO YOUR HOMEWORK!", screamed a certain brown haired nerd.

It's like they don't know who I am. Running is my baby, my element. No one can contest me. A lot to say for my first year on Midtown High's track team, but it's not like anyone will prove me wrong anyways. I can feel the wind on my face, the burning in my calves and lungs, and the growing smile on my face. The sun shines upon me, and it gives me the energy to keep going. It always has.

So when I passed the finish line, and I walked around, satisfied with my victory, it felt like an expected outcome.

That's not what I want.

It's all too easy. Getting girls, good grades, even having good looks and a good body. I'm living life on easy mode, and I don't think I like it. I'm an adrenaline junky at heart, you see, and I can't keep going on like this. I need more.

-POV?-

Oh my….

It's been thousands of years, but I'm finally back. I've been stuck in this hell for so long, I almost forgot what it was like to live.

It's not fun being obliterated and finding out that your sons and nephews were killed by Apollo. So I'll have my revenge. First, I'll go after Apollo, just to get warmed up. Maybe kill a couple of his kids to get started, and if my brothers come back in time…well, I guess I'll just go straight to Zeus. If not, I'll go and kill him myself.

They should've known not to mess with the three of us, and it will be their downfall. It's unfortunate that we've been gone so long, but that won't deter me. In fact, I'm excited to see all that I've missed.

Who knows where that hot-head Zeus would be if not for OUR lightning bolt.
