Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6: BECOMING SOMEONE NEW

Okay, here is the C1 level English translation of Chapter 6:

As three Guardians walked deeper into the forest, two of them trailed anxiously behind the third, who advanced with determined strides. Both were uneasy.

"Are you certain he can do this, Kane?"

"Yes, Kane. The boy's only been with us for a year. Mastering something like that typically requires years of dedication, like ours."

"Why the sudden apprehension? He cleared even your demanding tests within months. Besides..." Kane halted and turned around, his gaze resolute upon the two. "Isn't this boy meant to be our paramount project? Is this how we honour Kurosaki's legacy – riddled with anxiety? Do we want him worrying from beyond the grave, huh?!"

Tomo swallowed hard; Takeshi stared at the ground. Kane sighed, turned back, and continued walking. "I believe the boy can achieve this. We've all witnessed it. If even Kurosaki could foresee it at his birth, I'm confident this child won't let us down. In fact, he'll likely surpass us all one day."

After walking for some time, they emerged into a wide, barren expanse devoid of trees and grass. A long railway track cut through the landscape, upon which rested a large, abandoned ship. A long chain stretched from its bow, descending towards the ground, growing shorter as it lay flat. Further down the tracks, a hooded young man was performing warm-up exercises. He had a well-built physique and stood as tall as Kane.

"He's already here..." Kane approached the young man. "Hey! Berwick!" The young man ceased his warm-up at Kane's voice, removed his hood, and bowed in greeting towards Kane.

"Welcome, Masters. It's good to see you again today..."

"Hey, hey, no need for such formality, son." Kane glanced at the ship, then back at Berwick. "So, are you ready?"

Berwick lifted his head, corrected his posture. Kane could clearly see the determination and confidence blazing within his crimson eyes.

"More ready than I've ever been..."

ONE YEAR EARLIER...

"Alright, I'm going then..." With those words, young Berwick jumped into the car and began driving towards the Multiverse Guardians' Corporation headquarters. The journey would be long, but not even time could deter Berwick now. He reflected.

'Guardians, huh? Truly ironic. To be forced to become one of them, despite my aversion... It bothers me. But, if... if this is the only path to uncover the truth and improve myself, then I have no other choice. I'll have to play along until I get what I need. It's high time I unleashed the old me from his chains. This time, I must be far more serious.'

After the lengthy journey, he arrived at the Corporation building. He entered and headed towards the reception desk.

"Welcome, how may I assist you?"

"Uh, hello, I was hoping to apply for the Guardian entrance exam. I came to fill out the application form."

"I'm afraid to say, applications closed two weeks ago... The next exam cycle is in approximately 12 months." Berwick slammed his hands on the desk.

"Please! You have to let me in! I've come all the way from Chilldrove, I'm desperate..."

"We are truly sorry... But this decision is made by the Multiverse Council Board..."

Berwick sighed deeply; all his hopes seemed dashed. Nodding his head in resignation, he pulled his hands back from the desk and slowly turned towards the door.

"Wait! Hey, kid!" Berwick turned around. The person calling him was the pink-haired woman who had arrived at Touga's death scene.

"You... You're the one from..." The woman approached Berwick.

Berwick turned to face her and bowed slightly. "I apologize for my behaviour last time. That person was incredibly precious to me... And due to the circumstances surrounding my family, I didn't want to hand him over to anyone."

The woman looked at the young man and grasped his arm. "Come with me." She glanced at the receptionist. "He's with me." The receptionist's apprehensive expression shifted to one of resolve, allowing them passage. The woman was practically dragging Berwick along.

"H-hey, let go of my arm, I know how to walk!" He pulled his arm free, rubbing his wrist before following the woman. "Is this how you people grant forgiveness?! What was that all about..." As they walked, the woman began talking to Berwick. They passed through a door.

Inside, numerous Guardians bustled about. Some rushed from place to place with documents, others chatted, while some showcased their abilities in displays of power. The space was enormous. Berwick was somewhat impressed by the atmosphere. The woman stopped and turned to him.

"Welcome to the Guardian Collective building, son. It might seem overwhelming, but you'll get used to it. Follow me, there are people I want you to meet."

"Wait! Why are you helping m-" The woman cut Berwick off.

"We are the ones who should apologize, young man... We learned of your family's and your friend's situation too late. If only we could have done something sooner... But there are things we can do now, and I intend to pursue them. Now, follow me."

Berwick followed the woman in astonishment. After ascending numerous floors, they arrived at a level that was almost deserted.

"High-ranking members usually reside here. I want to do the best I can for you. So, I wouldn't miss this chance if I were you."

"Understood. By the way, I didn't get a chance to ask your name. What is it?"

The woman adopted a playfully teasing tone. "My my, someone's only asking for my name now? Fufu~" She turned to Berwick and extended her hand. "Stella... Stella Hasegawa. It's a pleasure to meet you, Berwick."

"A pleasure to meet you too, but how do you know my name?"

Stella chuckled and looked at the young man. "Your father, Kurosaki... He spoke of you often, that's why."

They entered a room where three Guardians were bickering like children. The one in blue was carrying the one in green piggyback style, while the one in black roared with laughter. Their attention snapped to Berwick and Stella as they entered. The Guardian in black stood up; despite being in his 50s, his physique looked incredibly solid. His immense height and build, coupled with his golden eyes, were enough to give Berwick chills.

"Hey, Stella! Didn't we tell you not to just barge into this room?"

"Ooh, I see you old geezers are deeply focused on your work."

"We're on break, woman! Besides, who's this runt?! Did you bring a guest-"

Stella cut the black-clad Guardian off with a razor-sharp, serious tone. "Berwick... He is Kurosaki's son, Nichiyobi Berwick."

Instantly, the atmosphere intensified. The two Guardians who were still fooling around stared, eyes wide as saucers, and quickly approached the young man.

"Is this really Berwick?! Our Kurosaki's youngest son?"

Stella nodded. The blue-clad Guardian with green eyes and red hair moved closer to Berwick, looking excited. Berwick gulped; the pressure was becoming overwhelming. The green-clad man with black hair and purple eyes suddenly bowed deeply. The other two Guardians followed suit.

All three spoke in unison: "Son... We are truly sorry. Forgive us for failing to protect your family... Kurosaki was no different than a brother to us. He was the leader of our team. He acted as both a leader and an older brother... We were left only with the burden of grieving his loss, and the loss of our nephews."

Berwick looked on, astonished. Yes, Guardians were partly responsible for his family's demise. He was furious with them. He was enraged at his family for keeping such a monumental secret. But he also knew that even among Guardians, there could be good people.

"Please, raise your heads. You are not to blame. What's done is done... There's no reason to dwell on the past. So, please, don't be upset."

The three Guardians lifted their heads. Despite his youth, the young man standing before them seemed possessed of a mature wisdom. The black-clad Guardian gently placed a hand on Berwick's shoulder and looked at him.

"Son. We may not have been able to do anything that day. But now, we will do everything in our power. We heard you wish to join the Guardians. In that case."

The blue-clad Guardian interjected, "We will train you more intensely than anyone ever before."

Then, the green-clad Guardian added, "You will become our greatest project, young man."

The black-clad Guardian smiled at Berwick. "You might have missed this year's exam, but trust me, if you had entered, you'd likely be dead by now. Let's see what level we can bring you to in one year. Are you ready for this, son?"

Berwick's eyes welled with tears. He glanced first at the smiling Stella, then at the older men, and replied.

"Yes!"

Thus began Berwick's training regimen, coinciding with his birthday... They wasted no time, immediately commencing the young man's rigorous training. The black-clad Guardian, Kane, would train Berwick in physical agility and strength. The blue-clad Guardian, Takeshi, would master him in weapons and environmental control. The green-clad one, Tomo, would be responsible for mastering Berwick in magic, runes, and accumulating vast knowledge.

Berwick started his training with Tomo. Tomo began by explaining the 'Ether' residing within his body. Ether, the vital essence present in every living being, empowers them and anchors them to life. The greater a being's Ether, the more predisposed they are to developing various abilities. These abilities manifest based on the individual's willpower, disposition, power, and determination. He also learned that Runes are innate abilities granted at birth that do not require additional Ether.

"To create spells, Berwick, you must learn to control the Ether within you. Elves and similar beings can typically control it innately, but humans require intense training. Since that would take a very long time, I want to give you something." Tomo summoned a box via a magic circle, took out a ring, and gave it to Berwick. "This item will accelerate your mastery of magic. Depending on the situation, it can increase your learning speed up to a thousandfold."

"This is incredible, but it must be very valuable. Are you sure you want to give it to me?"

Tomo nodded. "It belonged to your father. Think of it as me returning his legacy to you. Now, focus on your Ether and feel it channeling fire through your fingertips."

Berwick focused, closed his eyes, felt the simmering Ether within, and slowly imagined channeling it out through his fingers. When he opened his eyes, a tiny flame flickered in his hand.

"Normally, creating a flame of this size would take a year. As you can see, you grasped it quickly."

Berwick spent his first three months with Master Tomo. His rapid comprehension greatly benefited all three masters. He became more proficient in magic, learned to read Runic texts, and gained a deeper understanding of life's mechanics. Although Tomo was impressed by his swift learning, he needed confirmation. Tomo decided to subject him to one final test.

"Berwick, I want you to gather as much magical power as you can wield, from as many different spells as possible, into a single mana circle."

"WHAT?! BUT THAT'S-" Berwick cut himself off, then adopted a serious tone. "As you wish, Master."

Tomo had already summoned Takeshi and Kane. He wanted them to witness this; fitting multiple spells into one mana circle was something only deranged master wizards could attempt. The slightest error could have the impact of a hydrogen bomb.

Berwick focused, mentally listing all the spells he knew, then categorizing them as basic, advanced, and highly advanced. Starting with the basics, he began weaving the spells into the mana circle. Magical, luminous runic letters gathered one by one within the circle. He easily placed the fire, water, earth, and air spells. Next came the advanced spells: lightning, light, mist, and ice. He managed to incorporate these into the circle, albeit with difficulty. Now came the most challenging part: Holy and Dark magic. Just as Berwick was about to place the Holy magic rune, Tomo tried to stop him.

"That's enough, Berwick." Berwick didn't stop, slowly but surely placing the runic letters in sequence. Finally, he succeeded in embedding the Holy magic.

"Berwick! I said enough!" As he slowly began to place the Dark magic rune, one of the runes started to destabilize.

Takeshi yelled, "EVERYONE!! GET DOWN!!" Tomo instantly cast a time and dimension spell, sending the unstable magic into the void of space.

"What did I tell you-" Tomo couldn't believe his eyes. The magic Berwick had seemingly been constructing all this time had actually fully formed right around his hands. All the basic, advanced, and highly advanced magical foundations were arrayed around Berwick's wrist like a bracelet.

"Unbelievable..." Berwick dispelled the magic. He had passed the test successfully. His masters stared in amazement before Tomo grinned. "It appears we truly have a major project on our hands. You pass..."

Berwick had completed his first phase of training. Only Takeshi's and Kane's remained. The next day, after a celebratory feast, it was time for Berwick's training with Takeshi. Takeshi took him to a temple on a deserted island. The temple's interior was filled with thousands of different melee and ranged weapons.

"Wow... Am I going to become a sword master or something?"

Takeshi laughed heartily. "No, no... You won't be a sword master." Berwick looked at Master Takeshi in confusion. "What do you mean? Then what will I use?"

Takeshi smiled and spread his arms wide. "Swords, spears, daggers, rapiers, bows... In short, YOU WILL BECOME A WEAPON MASTER!!" Berwick's eyes widened dramatically. Yes, he learned quickly and didn't easily forget, but there were weapons here whose names he didn't even know. In the initial days, Takeshi trained him with basic weapons: swinging staves, balancing large poles. He practiced archery while balancing and underwent evasion drills. Though challenging and complex, the young man became more proficient with weapons each day. At the end of the first two months, they moved on to environmental control.

Takeshi paced before Berwick, holding a staff. "Listen carefully, Berwick. What is a warrior's weapon?"

Berwick thought. "The weapon they carry?" Takeshi immediately smacked Berwick on the head with the staff. "Ow!"

"WRONG!! A warrior's weapon is everything in the battlefield! The ground, stones, grass, trees, buildings. Whatever exists, it's all your weapon. Now, attack me using the environment!"

Berwick warmed up and then began his assault on his master. But suddenly, he found himself deep within the forest. After a long chase, Berwick failed. He spent another two months learning how to utilize the environment as a weapon, simultaneously honing his basic weapon movements like evasion, swings, and attacks. For his final test, Takeshi brought him to a 50-meter diameter, completely empty, box-like room.

"This is known as the Death Room. The walls are indestructible, and any projectile ricochets off them with equal force. Now." Takeshi pressed a button on a remote, and a weapon resembling a minigun, but slightly larger, slowly rose from the floor. "Your opponent is this. What I want you to do is," he tied a red bandana to the minigun's muzzle, "retrieve this and bring it to me." He tossed Berwick a sword, which Berwick caught. "Good luck."

"HEY, WAI-" His master had already exited, and the minigun's barrel slowly began to spin; the test had begun. The first round fired. Berwick prepared to block it with his sword. The bullet struck the sword's edge but didn't cut through; instead, it sent Berwick hurtling towards the wall at high speed. Astonished, Berwick bounced between the walls like a pinball. Just before crashing to the floor, he maneuvered into a position to minimize damage and landed. He rose, gasping for breath, but the bullet had already ricocheted and was approaching him from behind. Berwick reacted instantly, but again, he bounced off the walls like a rubber ball.

Berwick thought, 'I can't maintain balance! What should I do? If I don't do something, this bullet will eventually riddle me with holes! Think, Berwick, think!' At that moment, Berwick recalled his past life. As an assassin, he had faced similar situations. The only difference was that instead of bouncing off yielding surfaces, the projectiles ricocheted off solid walls. 'I shouldn't resist the bullet. I must dance with it...' Contemplating this, instead of deflecting the oncoming bullet, he slightly sidestepped and struck it from the side as it passed, altering its trajectory. He did the same with the subsequent rounds.

The white room was semi-transparent, allowing Takeshi to observe Berwick from outside. His other two masters had arrived, but Kane looked particularly anxious.

"TAKESHİ! WHAT IS HE DOING?! THE KID'S GOING TO GET SHREDDED!"

"Calm down a bit, Kane... He's trying something. I don't know what, but," Tomo interjected, "I never saw him this serious and confident during my training. Right, Takeshi?"

Takeshi nodded. "Exactly. He's planning something. But what?"

Suddenly, Berwick deliberately blocked an oncoming bullet to gain momentum, launching himself towards the opposite wall. But then, he started ricocheting off the bullets themselves. It looked as if he were controlling their direction.

Takeshi watched, impressed. "Incredible... He's literally dancing with the bullets, dictating their paths! Who is this kid?!"

Finally, leaping from bullet to bullet, he propelled himself directly in front of the minigun. With a solid, sharp blow, he cleaved the minigun in two and snatched the bandana.

Berwick spoke with a confident, slightly mocking tone. "Hey, Master Takeshi... Whatever the hell you were doing, I really hated this room. It'd be best if I never step foot in here again."

Kane, Tomo, and especially Takeshi were astounded. Takeshi grinned and opened the room's door with the button. Berwick had passed.

"Using the bullets against themselves was an incredibly clever move."

"Since they were too strong and unbreakable, I couldn't cut them. Plus, they bounced me around too much. It occurred to me to redirect them, essentially drawing a path for myself, like tracing a route with beams of light reflecting off mirrors."

Takeshi smiled. "Well done, son! You pass..."

After celebrating his success, Berwick and his masters went out to commemorate the completion of his second training phase. A day later, Berwick's final training began: Physical, Agility, and Strength. Kane brought Berwick to a vast, empty wasteland at dawn; its edges were invisible.

"Master Kane... What exactly are we going to do here?" Berwick curiously surveyed his surroundings.

Kane removed his top, revealing a muscular, scar-covered body that looked magnificent. "First, I'll test you, Berwick. I heard that day your body took no physical damage even after crashing through hangars. I suppose your father's traits are working, but," Kane suddenly appeared in front of Berwick, moving as if teleporting. Berwick couldn't react properly before Kane formed a fist. "let's see how much of it you can control!" He drove his fist into Berwick's side. The ground within a 30-meter radius cracked slightly, and a large shockwave rippled outwards. Strangely, Berwick's body remained standing, but he couldn't withstand such power and had already lost consciousness, collapsing to the ground, writhing in pain.

When he opened his eyes, his master was sitting beside him, watching over him. "I will train you until you can withstand this punch and more, Berwick. You will also learn to control the power within you, how to convert Ether into physical strength."

Berwick stood up and brushed himself off. His training had already begun. The first few days consisted of physical conditioning: running, sit-ups, push-ups. Following these were ordeals like swimming naked in freezing water and running through desert-like terrain wearing heavy clothing. Numerous similar trials awaited him.

"Here, you'll eat this." His master brought an overflowing plate, much larger than normal.

"I can't possibly finish thi-" His master smacked him on the head. "YOU WILL FINISH IT! IF YOU WANT TO GET STRONGER, YOU'LL EAT UNTIL YOU VOMIT! EVEN IF YOU VOMIT, YOU'LL KEEP EATING, UNDERSTOOD?!" Berwick, frightened, nodded and dug into the food. Halfway through, he felt nauseous and had to throw up. But believing his master had a reason, he continued eating. In the initial months, his body ached constantly, and the training sessions were truly hellish. Even though he could grasp the concepts, his body took longer to adapt. He ate, underwent intense training, and once a week, endured his master's punch. No matter how accustomed he became to the punch each week, his master would increase its intensity accordingly.

Two months later, the young man was no longer using ordinary weights but performing push-ups with medium-sized boulders on his back, doing squats with logs, and running uphill carrying his master on his back. He had become more muscular, his features more defined, and he had grown taller. He could now eat the massive meals without vomiting. He could finally withstand his master's punches. Whereas before he would have instantly passed out, now he merely reacted with a shout of pain and slight tearing in his eyes. His training intensified further.

"Today, you will pull this train with that rope tied over there. BUT BY PUNCHING!"

"UNDERSTOOD, SIR!" Berwick grabbed the rope and began pulling the train forward slowly, punching the air with each step. It hurt, his arms felt like they would tear off, but he managed to keep punching. With each few punches, the train followed, accompanied by the ear-splitting screech of metal on the rails.

Sometime later, Kane had Berwick assume a push-up position and placed a long pillar on his back. Berwick collapsed.

"ASSUME THE POSITION, YOU IMBECILE! DO YOU WANT TO BE CRUSHED LIKE AN INSECT?! DO YOU MISTAKE LIFE FOR A GAME?!"

Berwick slowly corrected his posture, his arms trembling, but he held steady. "NO, SIR!!"

"DOES LIFE COME WITH A RESTART BUTTON, HUH?!"

"NO, SIR!!!"

"THEN GET YOUR REAR IN GEAR AND START PUSHING!"

"YES, SIR!!" Berwick began doing push-ups, trembling but treating it as a matter of life and death. This arduous training continued for another month. With each passing day, the weights he carried grew heavier, the punches he endured grew harder. But equally, he became more durable, more flexible, and gained more strength. The punches he threw were now as hard as his master's had been on the first day. He had learned to use Ether as a power boost during training in the first month; the rest was his body adapting, which it did increasingly faster in the final months. As more time passed, the intensity continued to escalate.

PRESENT DAY...

The young man looked at his master and nodded confidently.

"Son... Today! Today is the day you spread your wings and fly! Compared to that first day, a strong and determined young man stands before me now. Let's go! Show me!"

"YES, SIR!!"

Berwick grabbed both chains at the front of the huge ship, braced them against his shoulders, and assumed his stance. After taking a deep breath, he took a few steps; the chains tautened. Initially, the ship didn't budge, and he himself strained in place, but then.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!" With a final furious roar, the colossal ship began to move with the young man's steps. Berwick let out silent screams, his eyes fixed with determination on the path ahead as he advanced. Behind him, the massive ship followed.

Takeshi grinned. "I'm not surprised by anything anymore..."

Tomo watched anxiously, while Kane roared with laughter. "THAT'S THE WAY!!"

After a while, Berwick stopped pulling the ship and assumed a push-up position. Kane lifted the entire massive ship with one hand and gently placed it on Berwick's back. The young man initially staggered under the immense weight but managed to maintain his balance at the last second and began doing push-ups. Tomo grew worried and was about to cast a gravity-reducing spell when Kane stopped him.

"Wait. Look closely..." Tomo looked at Berwick and was surprised; the young man was straining, yet grinning. Tomo dispelled the magic he was preparing and continued watching. After some time, Berwick successfully passed the push-up test as well. Only one test remained. The young man and his Master stood facing each other in the empty wasteland.

"Are you ready, son?!" Kane shed his uniform top.

Berwick mirrored him, removing his hoodie and tossing it to the ground. He truly looked like a new person compared to a year ago. "Yes, Master! I'm ready!"

His master instantly dashed forward, appearing beside Berwick and landing a solid punch to his face. The ground around them buckled inwards and cracked; the resulting shockwave pushed Tomo and Takeshi back slightly. Berwick remained standing, his feet slightly sunk into the ground. With the fist still against his face, he shot his master a fierce glare and delivered a punch to his abdomen. Though not as hard as his master's, it was a powerful blow. The sunken, cracked ground fractured further. Since his punch lacked Kane's control, Kane was thrown back several meters by the impact.

"Nice punch... BUT YOU'RE STILL RAW, SON!!" Both leaped towards each other, their speeds increasing, their punches intensifying. Their fists echoed through the air, generating fierce winds and creating large fissures in the ground.

Takeshi struggled to follow them with his eyes, unable to keep up with their speed. "I can't see them! I can't track their movements! Kane, what kind of monster have you created!!"

One moment Berwick threw a punch, the next Kane did. Both could evade each other's blows and withstood the impacts thanks to their durability. Kane appeared behind Berwick, grabbed him by the waist, and executed a German suplex. Driven shoulder-first into the ground like an ostrich burying its head, Berwick managed to break free from Kane's grasp and sent Kane flying forward with a flipping kick. After extracting himself from the ground, he quickly dashed forward, appearing beside Kane. As Kane threw a punch, Berwick ducked low and delivered a spinning roundhouse kick upwards to Kane's head with his right foot. Kane staggered from the kick. Berwick followed up with another spinning kick and, while airborne, twisted to drive his right elbow backward into Kane's face. Kane's body flew uncontrollably into the distance and crashed hard onto the ground.

Berwick leaped into the air, performed a flip, and slammed his heel down into the dusty area where Kane had landed. The ground cracked slightly; no one was there. With sudden reflexes, he spun around just as his and his master's fists collided. The impact was so violent that both were sent flying in opposite directions. Finally, they charged at each other one last time. Kane looked serious; strange lights and a unique aura began emanating from his fist. Similarly, these phenomena appeared around Berwick's body.

"I..." Berwick deflected the incoming punch. Kane was surprised. Berwick brought forth thoughts of his loved ones, those he needed to protect. Ether erupted from his hand in a blazing crimson glow; his crimson eyes began to shine red. "WILL NOT LOSE!!!" He landed a devastating uppercut squarely on Kane's face. It was so powerful that the resulting shockwave displaced Tomo and Takeshi watching from afar, and a massive crater formed in the ground. Kane's body shot upwards like a bullet and crashed back down. Tomo and Takeshi ran in astonishment towards the dust cloud where Kane had landed. Berwick did the same.

"Master!" A hand rose from the dust cloud. Kane gave a thumbs-up. "Son! That was one of the hardest punches I've ever taken in my life. And..." He stood up, his clothes in tatters. He approached the young man, whose clothes were similarly damaged, and they shook hands. "You used the Ether well... You pass the test! You are ready now..."

Berwick wiped the blood trickling from his mouth and nodded at his master with joy and pride. The young man was finally ready to become a Guardian. When they returned to the Corporation building, his masters approached him.

"Happy birthday, son..." Today was Berwick's 18th birthday. They handed him a box. "This is a gift from us..." Berwick thanked them and slowly opened the box. Inside lay an old Guardian uniform, red and black. It looked pristine and stylish.

"This is..." Berwick looked at his masters in surprise.

Kane grinned... "It was your father's... He wore this when he first joined the Guardians. May it bring you luck."

Kane checked the time; there were only three hours left until the exam. Leaving early might be good for Berwick. With slightly trembling hands, Berwick slowly took the uniform. After changing, he rejoined his masters. All three looked at him with beaming smiles.

"We believe you'll succeed, son... Now go, and don't come back until you've aced that exam!" Berwick nodded, turned, walked out the door, and headed towards the examination site.

Tomo turned to Kane with a somewhat sorrowful expression. "Hey Kane... Did you see it too?"

Kane looked at Tomo with a grin. "Yes... From behind, he looked exactly like Kurosaki..."

'Dear Candidates, there are 2 hours remaining until the Exam. Please do not leave the Examination Area! And ensure your documents are ready.' Berwick clutched his documents tightly and looked at the screen. He had struggled immensely over the past year, persevered, and passed his trials. It had been hell for him, but the real test was just beginning. Taking a deep breath, he slowly began walking towards the exam location.

"Alright... Here we go."
