Synopsis
In the aftermath of global collapse, when Earth teeters on the brink of irreversible ruin, a sudden phenomenon stirs the world’s survivors, a shimmering anomaly known only as The Veil appears in skies across the planet. Neither fully physical nor entirely ethereal, this gateway reveals access to an enigmatic realm beyond comprehension: a place where reality bends, logic fragments, and the impossible becomes routine. The Veil does not accept all. It chooses. Only those with untapped, extraordinary potential may cross its threshold. For the chosen few, the realm unfolds with limitless possibilities, lands sculpted by willpower, constructs born from imagination, and strength granted not by bloodline or technology, but by sheer inner resolve. Within this boundless world, humanity begins to fracture. Some seek to harness the Veil’s gifts to rebuild civilization. Others fall into obsession, forging kingdoms from raw thought and abandoning their humanity entirely. Rival factions form, each interpreting the realm’s nature differently as sanctuary, proving ground, weapon, or prison. But the Veil holds secrets deeper still. The more humanity shapes the realm, the more it shapes them in return. As explorers push further into its shifting depths, they uncover echoes of ancient entities, lingering architectures of forgotten minds, and laws that suggest the Veil is not a gift… but a test. And the true question emerges: Did humanity find the Veil… or did the Veil find them?

Chapter 1 - Dream team

A young 16 year old boy with silver hair stood in front of a group of three people. All four of them were wearing school uniforms. The uniform consisted of a purple shirt and brown Khaki trousers.

"Ok guys, here's the plan, we're gonna strike the dungeon tonight. After months of preparations we're finally ready enough." The boy said.

"Sam, you're going to be the main Vanguard of the group. Your set of skills are perfect for that category." The boy said to one of his friends.

Sam was a little bit shorter than him and possessed natural silky golden hair that highly complemented his fair skin.

"Lu, You're our secondary Vanguard, your job is to support Sam in distracting the Xenobeasts. Try killing them alone if you can." The boy said to his second friend.

Lu was the shortest amongst them. He was slim and had generic black curly hair.

"Finally, Horace, you're our mage and backline support. Try to kill as many of those bastards as you can and protect the Vanguards if you can, ok?" The boy said to his third friend.

Horace, the only friend who's name he mentioned fully, was as tall as he was. He had flaming red hair and uniquely red eyes to match with it.

"Sure, but what about you Caden." Horace asked.

"Am the strategist, I'll be doing mostly the same as you but instead of killing, I'll be aiming towards crowd control. I hope you all prepared your seals, especially you Horace, we don't wanna lose you to your own power." Caden replied.

They were the last people to leave the classroom as they had a few more steps to discuss. They had everything planned from the entry all the way to the boss fight.

"You guys are at this again, get to your dorms and get ready it's almost time for dining." A girl in the second year said as she passed by the classroom.

The boys left the classroom and split up. Sam and Caden were in the same house but Horace and Lu weren't, hence why the discussion had to happen in the classroom.

Sam and Caden walked through the gates of their boarding house and continued walking to the far end of the small compound passing by many rooms on the way. They finally entered their 30 man room.

The room had bunk beds that line in front of the walls on all sides. Each bunk had enough space to it's left and right to store the belongings of both occupants comfortably.

The dorm room was bustling with activity, everyone was inside and doing their own thing to prepare for dining.

Caden went to his bed which was directly behind the door and started preparing himself to go out and about. He wasn't particularly fond of dining so he would more often than not, skip it and do his own thing.

Sam also went to his bed to prepare for dining as every normal person was already doing.

Caden finished his preparations in the next few minutes and left his room an hour to dining and went back to his classroom.

In his classroom he sat down at his desk and took out a small book that looked like a diary. The book was silver with a blue symbol that showed a bunch of faceless people standing together.

He opened the book and started reading. After a few minutes he reached a blank page and begun writing something down. He kept on writing until the siren sounded for dining at which point he stopped writing and looked at his classroom door.

Horace entered the classroom after a few seconds.

"You know, that trick never gets old." Horace stated and proceeded to get a chair to sit beside Caden.

"I see you're working on another project." Horace said as he saw the book in his hands.

"Yeah, I was hoping to create someone powerful enough to join our team without dying to their power." Caden stated.

"You worry too much you know that, nothing is going to go wrong, chill." Horace said with a smile.

They started talking and the conversation slowly but swiftly shifted to another topic. They were so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't realize it was prep time.

Lu and Sam walked into the classroom and took their seats near the two before slowly injecting themselves into the conversation. As time went on, everything took a full circle back to the planning stages of their mysterious raid.

Soon, it was prep over. They needed to return to their rooms. Quickly they all rushed to their various houses to make the last bits of preparations.

Lights out was 9:30 pm. The whole group simultaneously lay on their various beds until the clock struck 10pm. Then, as they had planned, they all silently and simultaneously said a specific word.

"Transfer."
