Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: What have I turned into!

Wanna bring some Alcohol?"

"No, Sir. I am a coffee-man."

A young boy poured coffee into a small white cup. He wore a green military uniform. His tired black eyes reflected the weight of war. The name of the young boy was Laymar Hyurai.

After finishing pouring, he sat on chair before the table. At the other end of the table, a middle-aged man was seated and drinking a bottle of alcohol.

After taking a long sip, he put the bottle down on the table, and signed looking at Olin.

"Come on, youngster drink some with me. After all, we are both going to be dead any second now. At least, take a sip before you die."

Laymar stopped sipping his coffee and looked at him with tired eyes, then said smiled faintly.

"Sir, I don't drink alcohol. I am still underaged, remember?" Then as he sighed, he said, "I know that inevitable death approaching towards us as we speak, but still I think I will stick to drinking coffee."

"I see. That's sucks." the man chuckled as his cheeks were completely red, from being drunk.

Laymar and the middle aged man sat a in small, messy room. The two remained silent, knowing that there were not much time left for the both of them. Because their ship was already surrounded on all sides by enemy battleships.

"Now shoot and destroy the enemy ship", a middle-aged man with a black eye patch on his left eye, from one of the ship, ordered loudly to destroy the ship Laymar and the middle aged man were in.

"I guess, this is it for us." the middle aged man muttered. As he reeled back on the chair, he shifted his black eyes to Laymar. "So, Laymar. Laugh if you want for what I am about to say now. If..You somehow get reincarnated after all this, try to live a normal life like the boys your age, okay?"

The cup of the coffee in Laymar's hand flinched as he heard that. Getting reincarnated? Now this was something he would happily embrace, if he could actually get another shot at life, that is. But he knew the harsh reality. So, he chuckled, "You drank a little too much, sir. This is unlike you. Since when did you believe in the stuff like reincarnation?"

As he said that he stood up, and exited the room. Then as one of the bomb hit the ship's deck and shook the ship to its very core, he gave a salute, to show respect for their motherland, which they fought to protect till the end but failed to do so, standing before a large ocean surrounded by enemy ship.

"Goodbye."

As he saw cannon fired by those ships, he said with an unwavering face even at the moment of his death.

Then those cannons hit their ship, which cause it to explode, killing them both mercilessly.

Shortly after everything was pitch-black like an endless void.

Only thing that was audible was fuzzy noise.

What is this place?

The voice of Laymar echoed through the cold void of darkness.

Is this how the afterlife is suppose to look like? Aren't there suppose be any flames around considering I killed so many people? Or maybe dying as a martyr will send me to heaven? But Heaven isn't suppose to look like that either.

Laymar thought that with a confused voice.

Abruptly, a dark purple notification appeared, and an unfamiliar yet gentle voice echoed throughout the void.

What? He muttered.

As those words echoed, the entire void itself began to collapse. As the pitch darkness was shattering, few ray of light passed through the cracks.

Then in the next second, chirping of birds, streaming sound of the river, flowing sound of wind was audible.

Everything was so bright that Laymar couldn't see anything other than the white light itself.

But after a while, the brightness faded away as Laymar's eye adjusted to the light.

The first thing he saw after the adjustment of the eyes or the first he felt after the transmigration or reincarnation, wasn't either a mother's face or a warm embrace of a mother. Instead, he was feeling like his body was pressed on grass. And, the thing he saw after opening his eyes were just a greenish...Forest!

What the hell?! Have I really been reincarnated. If so, then why am I in a forest?'

As he dirted his gaze around, he could only see giant trees all around him. The morning sunlight peeked through the dense canopy, casting long shadows across the forest floor. Despite the warmth, an eerie stillness lingered in the air.

As Laymar turned around, he saw a big river, few metres away from him.

He hurriedly Dashed towards the river while gasping.

Then as he reached near the river, he leaned closer, heart pounding. The reflection staring back at him was not his own.

Instead, a cute humanoid dragon with sleek black and violet armor-like scales reflected on the water.

The dragon had glowing purple eyes, sharp fangs, and small, curved horns with white and violet highlights. Its wings are partially spread, showing a mix of dark, leathery textures with vibrant purple color scale. The dragon or rather Laymar was unclothed.

His breath hitched. "What the hell...?"

Laymar flinched back.

Then noticed that something was off about his voice too.

Compared to before his voice had, somehow, became light.

Laymar again leaned his head forward. The reflection on the opaque water was same as before!

For some reason, instead of reincarnating as a human baby, he was reincarnated as some kind of a tiny, about 20-30 centimeters long, cute dragon. Like what the hell, right?

What have I turned intoooooooo!?
