Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4 - THE DEVIL YOU KNOW IS BETTER THAN THE ANGEL YOU DON’T KNOW.

🦋 NABI 🦋

What happens after you get kidnapped? Especially when you are being brutally hung up with a chain. You expect to be tortured and then killed, then boom! That's the end of your life, you die like a chicken with no damn thing to offer.

But my case was a little bit different, after being hung up for a while, my blood circulation was poor and I barely feel most of my body, but luckily, I wasn't dead yet; instead, I was desperate to know what the freaking fuck kidnapped me.

Suddenly I raised my head and saw an angel staring at me.

Did I say angel? He was just so beautiful.

I heard no footsteps approaching me, and until he was standing in front of me, I didn't see him coming. Let's not ignore the fact that yo yo yo that man is my full spec. From his face to his abs to his tattoos, down to his figure. I could just snatch him and bite him.

A chuckle escaped my lips, "What the hell are you…"

"You don't seem scared," his manly voice echoed out.

"I don't get scared of beautiful men," I snapped back. "Why did you kidnap me? Am I allowed to assume it's fate?"

"For your own good – No!" he responded calmly, "Why were you searching for me?"

"You are Lee Gon!" I exclaimed, "I knew I had seen this face before. You are supposed to be dead…"

"And you are supposed to be minding your business, Nabi," he retorted. "I'm supposed to be dead, on paper. Why are you trying to bring me back to life?"

"Yay the cute guy knows my name," I yelled out sarcastically.

"I heard your commander screaming your name," he declared. "You seemed to have pissed him off."

I slowly raised my eyes to meet his, "Are you stalking me?"

"I believe you started stalking me first," he coldly responded.

I scoffed bitterly and corrected, "I was investigating."

Silence descended, we just gawked at each other shamelessly. I cleared my throat to ease the awkwardness in the atmosphere.

"Have we met before?" I calmly whispered. "Let me reframe the question. Are you the beast? Did you save me that night?"

Walking closer while staring at me he asked, "Are you sure about what you saw that night? It was dark."

"I am sure as hell, that it wasn't a bear, it was a human. Are you the… whatever I saw that night?" I asked again.

He nodded and I froze, "Are you also the thing that killed my father and left me a message with his blood?"

He kept mute, giving me no answer, he simply stared at me. From my left eye to my right eye then back to my left eye. I couldn't even breathe properly under his gaze.

"I guess it was you," I murmured sadly.

"It was meant to scare you away, but you weren't glitching," he announced.

"You…" I paused, "Set me down, I've been hung up here for a while."

He kept quiet, still staring at me, "It's not like I can hurt you or run away from you so why keep me chained up?" I added.

"You don't look scared, your heart rate is normal, you are not trembling either," he blurted out, cutting down the chain with his claws that suddenly popped out and disappeared.

"Why should I be scared? Do you eat flesh and drink blood or something like that?" I blurted out.

He twisted his neck, his eyes not leaving mine, "I kill for satisfaction."

"For my father that you killed, I'll make you pay. I'll never forgive you," I stated firmly. "But that's a personal issue. Why was I told to ask you to never get found? A group of men was assigned to our team, we were told to kill on the spot. I listened to the guy I was assigned to and he asked me to tell you to hide if I should find you."

"The sword," Lee Gon announced. "On the outside, they appear as an organization that creates weapons, in reality, they turn humans into weapons. I was a failed experiment or maybe successful. They tried to create more but couldn't. They need my blood to create one as strong as me. Right now – I'm the strongest and most wanted."

"So you faked your death?" I interrogated.

"Faking my death was my only way out," he snapped back. "And right now, you are ruining everything; you now know what you shouldn't know, so my only solution is killing you."

I glanced at him, "How many people have you killed?"

"Are you interrogating me right now?" he barked.

"Isn't that my job?" I snapped back.

He slammed his eyes shut and exhaled sharply, "The fact that I'm alive is a secret that should be kept forever. The fact that you were on the verge of finding me grasped my attention."

"Your face and body grasped mine," I muttered, "Thank you for your cooperation, but right now I have to leave."

"If you take another step, I'm going to kill you," he threatened coldly.

"Nobody tells me what to do," I fired back, walking out of the dark, empty underground tunnel.

I got to the office and got the biggest shock of my life, and then I realized that, when you know more than you should know, the organization immediately tries to silence you.

My commander stood behind two officers who walked up to me, "You are under arrest for the Murder that happened on the night of the 17th of last month."

"But I – I didn't kill them that night," I stammered, "I was the victim, I called the police that night, the CCTV camera is evidence."

"The footage for that night was deleted. No bear was reported to be in sight so that makes you our prime suspect." The officer responded.

"I never said it was a bear. He made it up…" I stated, pointing at our commander, "My car – the dash cam recorded something that night, that could justify…"

The officer shook his head, "Any evidence from the suspect would not be accepted."

"This is fraud," I screamed, "They are trying to pin this on me because they have something to hide."

One of the officers handcuffed me and the other responded, "You have the right to remain silent, whatever you say or do would be used against you in the court of law."

I never for once thought I as a member of an elite squad would be in a prison wear, locked in a small box called a station when I am no criminal.
