This is New York City, the city that never sleeps.
But underneath the neon lights, billboards, skyscrapers, and subways, is a whole new world.
Mythical creatures roamed the city, sustained by a potion called the Glamour Potion. It was created by the greatest witch to walk the earth and handed over to the Demon King, so he could protect and control his own.
This potion allowed these creatures to live amongst humans, to thrive like them. It not only cloaked them in deception, it also masked their scents, making it impossible for the Shadow Stalkers—hunters of the underworld—to find and destroy them.
The Veil Of Darkness is the world that breathes under New York. A world for damned souls. A world that strikes fear into the hearts of all mythical creatures.
Within it lies the Dark Core—a force meant to balance the darkness across realms.
100 years ago, a war broke out when witches sought the Dark Core to amplify their powers. They opened the Veil, blurring the line between good and evil, allowing damned souls to roam freely on earth.
It was left to the greatest witch to stop her own and restore balance to the realms of light and darkness.
So with her powers and the blood of a demon, she sealed the Veil of Darkness shut. This led to the Great Witch War, killing many witches, but ultimately restoring harmony to the world.
All the creatures were safe for years to come. The war was over.
Or so she thought.
