Boredom was the only thing Nora Valkyrie felt when aimlessly wandering around Beacon Academy, searching for something to help her alleviate the extreme boredom eating at her.
In all honesty, it was quite rare for her to experience such a thing. Something even she was astonished by, simply because Nora Valkyrie, knowing herself best, knew that she was a creature with abundant energy that never seemed to run out.
She could chat and ramble on about a single topic for hours on end, and still never get tired. This trait of hers was something many people find unable to handle and because of that, she didn't have many friends either.
Obviously, not that Nora Valkyrie minding it.
Nope, not at all! As long as she had Ren, she was fine with not having a lot of friends! Besides, it's not as though she had no other friends. She had her team after all.
Team JNPR, or better referred to as team Juniper! Yep, they were the best friends she could ask for.
The team of four of course included her, Ren, Pyrrha, and last but not least her fearless leader Jaune. While she supposed Team Rwby should be included among those groups of friends but they weren't as important as her own team so she'll refrain from mentioning them currently.
Anyhow, to Nora Valkyrie, her team was the best, and anyone who said otherwise would get their legs broken by her beloved hammer, Magnhild.
It was also for that reason that she couldn't help but pout in utter frustration and disappointment when thinking about this morning. Mostly directed at her teams; the cause of her boredom and the intense emotion coursing through her.
Today was Sunday and there was no class needed to attend, so she was so hype during the morning at the thought of hanging out with them, maybe doing some team bonding together, or heading to Forever Fall to smash lots and lots of Grimms to bits! Oh yeah, that would be fun. And if not those then, she was thinking they explore Vale and buy many snacks and sweets to enjoy along the way.
But, No! All three of her so-called teammates, when asking them, all respond mirror each other.
''I had something important to take care of alone today, Nora, so I don't have time.''
''Uhm, sorry Nora but I made plans today so I would be unavailable, maybe you could talk to Pyrrha and see if she's free.''
''I'm, I'm also unavailable as well, Nora. Uhh… maybe another time.''
Remembering each rejection, Nora Valkyrie stomps her feet on the marble floor with frustration written all over her face.
''And stupid Renny! I can let Jaune and Pyrrha slide for their rejection but him, humph! Once he's done with whatever so important thing he needs to take care of alone, I'll make him understand why you don't flatly deny Nora Valkyrie's request!'' Nora utters to herself, grinning at the many ideas surfacing in her mind to make Ren regret his decision.
At that same time, someplace else away from Beacon. A certain handsome slender youth with long black hair and a single strand of magenta on the left side, donning green traditional Chinese clothing, suddenly sneezed as he felt an unknown chill running down his spine.
''Ahh, I'm so bored! Why does nothing Interesting happen in Beacon when you want it?'' Nora held her head, tugging at her hair as she yelled with frustration.
''Hey, filthy mannerless animal, you just bumped into me without apologizing!''
''I-I'm sorry but it was an accident.''
''Accident or not, you should've still apologized. Tsk, expecting of animals' doesn't even know basic courtesy.''
While grumbling at the lack of anything interesting going on, Nora's ears prick up as she hears the ongoing conversation in the empty hall of her left, garnering her attention immediately. Before even cocking her head to take a look, the annoying-sounding male voice, seemingly insulting the other one, had already allowed her to figure out who it was.
When looking at the scene of four boys, surrounding a poor faunus, who was shivering with a fearful expression, Nora immediately felt a surge of anger rising up in her. At the same time, her lips curve in a smirk as she glances at the obvious four aggressor.
She finally found something to lessen her boredom!
As for why she could immediately identify the aggressor except the obvious image from just a single glance at the situation, was because—who in Beacon Academy wouldn't recognize those four, the notorious racist bully that discriminates against faunus?

And aside from those; Nora's reason for her sudden anger instead of merely feeling displeased by the sight was quite simple—team Juniper and team Cardinal had more than just a few bad histories with each other during the first month or two in Beacon.
During the beginning of Beacon, Nora could still clearly remember how their team leader and her friend, Jaune, were constantly harassed and getting picked on by Cardin Winchester on every term—at class, lunch, sparring session, or simply happening to bump into each other somewhere in the hall.
Thinking of those, Nora felt her anger rising even further. It wasn't as though she, Ren, and Pyrrha didn't want to help back then or not have enough strength to stop the bully that Jaune was facing. No, it was because...
Fearless leader is a dumb stubborn idiot. They could've helped, in fact, they tried many times to convince Jaune if anything was bothering him—he just needed to ask them for help and they were more than willing to knock a hard lesson into Cardin and his team.
However, every time they bring the topic up Jaune would just brush it off and tell them 'he's just messing around, it's not a big deal' or something like 'Ignore him, I'm sure he's bound to get tired of such things soon'.
And despite how she liked Jaune and considers him a very important friend because, before him and Pyrrha, Ren was the only one she had. But during the beginning of Beacon, she and the rest felt endless frustration towards him at his refusal to ask for help simply out of pride.
Luckily, the bully finally stopped after the Emerald Forest incident but even so, Nora still didn't like Cardin and his team. Yep, not a single bit!
With how bored out of her mind she is right now, while this will lead her to getting detention by the mean scary blonde Teacher, Nora felt it would still be worth it to stir up trouble with this despicable douche.
And besides, it's not as though she is going to go that far anyway. Just a few thrashing to the face and added with a few broken limbs, nothing they won't recover from!
Having made up her mind...
Decided the four shall serve as entertainment for— Ahem! Deciding the four shall finally face their overdue punishment, Nora confidently strides forward toward the scene of the bullying with newfound vigor, knowing what she was about to do for all intent and purpose—was completely justified.
''Hey, you four idiot! Instead of picking on that poor fellow, how about you try picking on someone your own size! Or maybe… y'all too chicken for that~'' Nora Valkyrie made her voice loud enough for them to hear clearly, then followed by teasing remarks with a thick layer of mocking undertones.
Having observed them as long as she had; they reacted just the way she'd predicted in her head—with all four youth instantly switching their attention to her with a frown as obvious anger surfaces in their gaze because of her mocking remark.
As team Cardinal stopped paying attention to the poor faunus and switched their focus onto Nora, taking the lead and stepping close to her was the tallest of the four, with a somewhat imposing build and not-so-handsome face. It was the leader of the team douchebag himself, Cardin.
Cardin leaned his head slightly down, sneered at Nora, and said. ''Argh't you that pink midget in Johnny boy team? How about you'd scram now and things won't become rough for that short tiny stature of yours.''
In response to his remark, Nora's grin froze as her face darkened instantly.
If it were any other insult, she would have easily brushed it off with a teasing grin and prepared to fire a comeback, but mentioning her height… Now that's taboo! If before the reason for her anger was solely because of Jaune, now it was far more personal than just that.
Watching Nora trembling while gnashing her teeth, the four boys burst out laughing—not knowing what's to come.
Still laughing, before Cardin knew what hit him, his aura flared in defense as his face angled to the side when Nora's punch reached him, sending his tall and somewhat imposed figure a couple of feet back.
''I may be small but how's the taste of eating a punch from this pink midget? Still, find it funny!?'' Nora smiles, clutching her knuckles, looking at the falling boy with wickedness that momentarily sent shivers down the spine of other members of team Cardinal.
Cardin, with his back to the floor, blinked a few times, trying to grasp what had happened to him as he felt a searing numbing sensation on the left side of his face. When his mind finally wraps his head around everything, the tall and somewhat imposing youth lifts his head in an enraging manner, barking an order to his three teammates. ''What are you three standing looking stunned for, get her!?''
The moment their leader's enraged order rang out, the three members of Team Cardinal were immediately brought back from their stupor and charged at the smiling and ready-to-battle Nora.
In response to their joint charge, Nora slammed her fist to her palm and said. ''I won't apologize for breaking a few legs from a bunch of assholes like y'all!''
...
''Ow… I'll give them this, Individually those four aren't that impressive but together they can also pack quite a mean punch.'' Nora grumbled, gently rubbing her shoulder. Although there was no bruise remaining as her aura had easily fixed that beforehand her shoulder still felt somewhat numb. ''Tsk, if Magnhild was here with me I would've easily broken their legs~''
Recalling how the fight had turned out, Nora snorted in dissatisfaction.
While Nora was strong enough to beat them one-on-one anytime, together, team Cardinal didn't really have the best teamwork out there as they were just throwing themself at her with no real strategy involved. To Nora, it still proved to be a bit of a challenge facing all four of them at the same time.
That wasn't to say, she was losing or anything like that, Nope! Definitely not, if the fight had continued she would have undoubtedly sent all four to the nurse with their limbs all broken. Absolutely! Nora had no doubt about that.
However, fortunately for those jerks the fight hadn't escalated to such an extent because a professor was approaching them due to hearing the ruckus, and understanding the trouble that would bring from being caught fighting, even Cardin knew to wisely order a retreat. And she, though steel herself for detention—if she can avoid it, she would rather not face Mis. Glynda Goodwitch's nightmarish detention.
''Ugh, Pyrrha made taking them down look so easy in sparring class but those jerks are actually half-decent…'' Pouted, Nora grumbled for the last time but halted midway as her gaze suddenly drew toward somewhere else.
At where Nora's gaze landed, she saw a tall shaggy blonde-haired young man standing there; wearing a nervous awkward look, while seemingly waiting patiently for someone.
''Is that fearless leader!?'' Notice who it was, she exclaimed and was about to immediately storm toward him. However, she stopped herself, and narrowed her eyes, feeling that something odd was going on. ''Didn't he say he already made plans, so what is he doing just standing there like that? And… Why is he dressed up so fancy and stuff? Suspicious.''
Nora stares with skepticism, suspicious lace in her tone as evident curiosity and excitement brewing in her. Her acute sense for finding an interesting secret was acting up, making her feel like if she stayed hidden and just watched, she might see something worthwhile or… at least not make her bored!
With her mind all made up, Nora grinned gleefully and chose to hide behind a pillar so Jaune wouldn't be able to notice her, and attentively watch from a distance.
When observing her leader all dressed up seemingly for a special occasion, Nora felt like giving him a thumbs up.
Indeed, in her eyes Jaune was dressed up quite fancily right now—with his immaculate black suit, complemented by the white bow tie; Nora admitted it made him look far more striking and, maybe even a bit suave!
Two words that she never thought her leader would ever be associated with, but here he was, looking quite fitting with those two words at the moment.
Hmm... but he would look much better in that black suit if he lost the awkwardness and appeared more confident... While carefully observing for something exciting to happen behind the pillar, Nora's mind casually drifts to random thoughts.
And like that...
A short moment passed and Nora, with her low tolerance for staying still, began to grow impatient with the short but what felt like a long period of waiting for her, grounding her teeth in a frustrating manner. ''This is not interesting at all, he's just standing there doing nothing! Just who is he waiting for? And why is that person taking so long anyway?''
Right after uttering that and was about to jump out from behind the pillar, Nora's expression immediately changed as she stopped herself mid-action and continued to stay hidden. Her head poked out, mumbling in surprise. ''Is that who Jaune was waiting for?''
Nora's eyes widened as she saw a young girl with wavy black hair and amber eyes, walking at a measured pace toward her team leader, the familiar bow she wore on top immediately allowed her to identify who it was.
''Blake…!?'' Nora exclaims loudly, squatting her eyes repeatedly to confirm if the person she sees is really Blake and not some look alike. ''It's really her, but since when did Jaune and her become familiar enough to meet up?''
After repeatedly confirming with her eyes, Nora eventually accepted that the person her leader was secretly meeting was really Blake. However, what confuses her was how and when did the two started interacting with each other in secret. Because while Blake was a member of team RWBY, and since the two teams tend to hang out with each other, naturally, they came to become much more familiar with one another than any other teams.
However, even so, except for Jaune and Ruby who consider each other best friends and always hang out together. The two teams, while on familiar terms, actually weren't super close.
So Nora couldn't understand how Jaune became familiar with Blake enough to have a secret rendezvous. If the person was Ruby; she could've easily accepted it, as sometimes those two were like glue and always stuck to each other. But Blake...
Nora couldn't even remember an occasion where those two shared a lengthy conversation during their team meet-up, so she couldn't understand how they ended up becoming familiar enough for a secret rendezvous.
And the most unbelievable thing to Nora was that… Blake was also all dressed up like Jaune; donning a simple white-black placate dress, with a hint of makeup on her fair skin. Something no one had ever seen the silent girl in before.
''Are they on a d-date, it can't be, right?'' Nora gasped exaggeratedly, feeling as though she had just stumbled upon a juicy secret to gossip about to her teammates.
In normal cases, it would be impossible to make this connection, as these two shared no similarities which would make anyone think they would ever be dated but the sight before Nora couldn't help made her think the answer she came upon was right at the mark.
''This is crazy! Fearless leader is actually dating Blake! The silent girl! This is such a great scoop, I can't wait to reveal this to Renny and Pyrr—'' Believing her guesses were definitely correct, Nora's eyes sparkled like stars from excitement, and felt she couldn't wait to tell this news to the rest of her teammates. However, when her thoughts stray to the only other female in their team, Nora freezes up, pausing in silence. ''Oh no, if I reveal this to Pyrrha she'd definitely be devastated!''
It wasn't a secret to anyone in Team JNPR or Team RWBY that Pyrrha—the four-time champion of the Mistral regional tournament—with the nickname 'Invincible Girl' was totally smitten with their team leader, Jaune. The only one who didn't know about it was the dense team leader himself.
But to others, it was a glaring truth that even someone who barely knows the two would easily be able to figure it out. After all, the way Pyrrha would always look at Jaune with such tender gaze, her attentiveness and care toward his smallest actions, and her desire to help even when he didn't ask, made it plain obvious her intention towards him.
With all those, Nora couldn't understand how their team leader was unable to figure out that Pyrrha had feelings for him, no matter how dense someone is. In fact, the orange-hair felt like palming her face every time she saw him looking confused and not understanding Pyrrha hints that everybody immediately could pick up.
Nora thought about how devastated Pyrrha would be and shook her head rapidly, ''No, No! Maybe I'm just overthinking things, hehe, there's no way Jaune would be dating Blake… I mean, that just seems impossible. Those two are completely different from each other, how can they be together? Yep, I'm just overthinking it!
''... But just in case, I must trail them and carefully observe their actions. Heh heh, this is also for Pyrrha—if Jaune is really going out with Blake, I should at least take a few pictures and tell Pyrrha about it so she won't be super devastated over finding it out later. Yes, this is what good teammates and friends should do~!''
Nora slyly grinning as she mumbled to herself, while intently observing the two in secrecy.
Not long after Blake arrived at the scene, Nora saw the two exchange a few dialogue with each other, being some distance away she couldn't hear what they were saying but she could tell it was quite friendly as the girl managed a faint smile—something she rarely saw on the girl during their team meet up.
After the exchange of dialogue, with a merry mood that seems to surround the two, Nora watches as they leave together at an almost shoulder-touching distance. From any angle you look at, they exactly resemble a new couple going on a date for the first time.
''This… it's really hard to think they aren't going out.'' Speechless at the romantic sight, Nora took out her scroll and directly took a few pictures without hesitation before putting it away and trailing after them in the most inconspicuous way she knew how.
Outskirt of Beacon Academy.
A short-period later while trailing behind the two, Nora saw the two climb aboard the Bullhead amidst the other students. And firmly making up her mind about following them and uncovering the truth if they're dating or not, Nora blanding among the students climbing aboard the Bullhead and took a seat a little further away so as not to be discovered by Jaune and Blake.
Hmm. They're sitting quite close to each other… a little too close. But other than that, they aren't doing anything intimate. Good, good, there's a chance they aren't dated, and Pyrrha still has a chance.
Despite thinking that, Nora didn't understand if she was genuinely believing her own thoughts or just trying to convince herself so as to still leave some hope for her teammates. However, that didn't stop her from having her own fun, and secretly took a couple of pictures, grinning from ear to ear the whole time.
Eventually, the Bullhead landed and all the passengers aboard made their way out in an orderly manner, with Nora Valkyrie trailing behind unbeknownst to the two.
On Vale street, Nora continued to stalk the two without their knowing, moving skillfully behind lampposts and the crowd so as not to be found. Occasionally, she was given a weird look by those who passed by and saw her strange action, but acting as if she didn't notice she completely ignored the onlooker.
Nora follows them to Vale's downtown street and witnesses them explore around and occasionally buy snacks—with most leaning towards freshly grilled fish covered in deliciously smelling sauce, which didn't come as a surprise for the orange hair.
While Nora wasn't deeply knowledgeable about Blake, during lunch time when their teams sat at the same table, she witnessed the silent girl mostly taking fish and delightedly chomping it down.
Seeing the two find some quiet place to enjoy their meals together, Nora eyed them from a distance with envy as a small trail of saliva ran down her small mouth. At that moment, a loud rumbling noise could be heard from her.
Ughhh… I forgot I hadn't had lunch yet! Clutching her empty stomach, Nora unconsciously gazes up at the bright sun above and realizes it's been noon for quite some time. Normally, at this hour she would've long eaten enough food meant for five grown men by now, but busy trailing the two she didn't even think about buying anything to eat herself.
So having to stare at someone else enjoy their meals made her experience a torturous feeling inside, however, when Nora saw Blake hesitate and repeatedly glance at Jaune with those amber eyes...before seemingly made up her mind and raising one of her grilled fish to him, her eyes immediately brightening at the thought of witnessing an interested sight.
And Jaune, seeing the fish in front him, made a confused face as he gave the wavy black-haired girl a questioning look at first but under her continuous stare, he quickly figured out the meaning of her little gesture without her uttering a word. Jaune blushed, looking awkward, he leaned over and took a bite out of the fish, and then chewed with contentment to express his thanks. Make the silent girl, please.
Unbeknownst to the couple, their stalker, Nora, was giggling foolishly all over after witnessing the romantic gesture between the two. Not forgetting to take a photo of the scene when Jaune leaned over and took a bite out of the fish while acting like a fan rooting for her two favorite idols hooking up together in real time.
Hehe~ this is such a great pic, I just can't wait to see the expressions on Pyrrha and Renny when I show it to them. Oh wait, I'm sure Jaune's reaction would also be priceless when he saw his own Image in the photo!''
lost in her own world, Nora imagined the shocking expression of her teammates and couldn't stop herself from showing a wide smile. And her smile widened further when she thought about Team RWBY's reaction as well.
One of their team members actually dated one of their members!
The dumbfounded and surprised from finding out the news would definitely greatly shock them! Nora could already clearly picture it in her mind and uncontrollably grinning from it.
Smiling at the photo of her team leader and Blake's little romantic action for one last time, Nora stuffed the scroll back in her pocket and made a paining face again as she felt her stomach hollow up. This time, she wasn't sure there were even any crumbs left in it.
Suffering and yet pumping full of excitement, Nora remembers a certain wise person once said 'Happiness comes with a price'. And she felt the price was quite steep!
And she immediately made up her mind that she would definitely buy a vast quantity of food while following the two lovebirds for the remaining day! Otherwise, before she could share any of these photos with her team, she'd starve to death first!

For the proceeding day ahead, Nora continued to stalk the couple to an amusement park, filled with fun rides and different entertainment that made her quite pleased enough to think about bringing Ren with her next time.
Of course! Nora didn't forget to buy lots, lots of treats to fill the void in her stomach, otherwise, she felt she wouldn't be able to go on without collapsing somewhere on the road.
Afterward, Nora then bought a ticket to check on a movie the two were watching.
Sitting a few seats back from the couple, munching on her double the size popcorn, for the first time, Nora stops paying attention to whatever thing the two were doing and fully immerses herself in the film. Captivated by the storytelling and the visual effect of the film it gives her the feeling as though she was looking at a complete work of art.
If she were asked what her only problems with the movie were, her only response would be that it had too many R-18 scenes! One or twice wasn't a problem for her but she felt it had taken out more than half of the movie, leaving her fuming inwardly.
By the time the movie ended, the sky had already darkened and Nora was surprised the two still didn't plan on heading back to Beacon. But since she had literally been trailing them all day, she only shrugged and followed them to a small park.
And because it was already dark, and the small park was quite unpopular to begin with due to its small area and lack of care with trash lying around there and then—it was only the three of them in the park. Which led to Nora having to put extra effort into following the two less she ended up being caught by them.
After following them all day without being noticed, if she was caught now when the day was near its end. Nora wouldn't be able to stop herself from feeling utterly depressed.
Soon the trio or, just the two with an extra person trailing behind, arrived in an open area within the center of the park. Nora, lurking behind a large tree not too far away from the couple, poked her head out and saw the two sitting down on a bench by a pond.
With the sky dark and the sun gone, the brilliance of the moon was on full display. The light from it shone down on the couple sitting next to each other—creating a romantic scene straight out of a fairytale.
Nora waited, holding her breath in, expression filled with eager anticipation as her attention was solely on the two couples bathing in the moonlight.
No way, no way! Am I about to witness the legendary kiss under the moonlight? Right here! Now! I must take a photo of this!!
Sensing the ambiguity in the mood between the two, Nora exploding in utter excitement, suddenly had a premonition that she was about to witness a sight which would make the entire trip a thousand times better than it already was.
Of course, she didn't know how much a thousand times better would entail, but all she knew from her math course was that it was a large number! And Isn't the bigger a number, the better it is!?
While the stalker halted all body movement, holding her breath in an eager anticipation…
The couple, Jaune and Blake, one blue and another amber, were gazing straight into each other's eyes without blinking. Their heads leaned an inch closer, the speed of their breath sped up, and soon they were near enough to feel each other's breath... However, just as their lips were only a few inches apart, Jaune suddenly stopped and looked away.
Sucking a mouthful of air in to cool his flush cheek from the mood, Jaune traced his eyes to her and spoke in a soft hesitated voice. ''S-so, why did you want to visit this park? It's quite late, we should be heading back less they become worried…''
''Tch,'' Blake clicks her tongue, her amber eyes glow with displeasure. ''Read the mood, idiot.'' She whispers in dissatisfaction at his clueless attitude.
And before he could say anything else, Blake lunged her head to him and directly connected her lips with his.
Meanwhile, Jaune's eyes widened in surprise at the sudden kiss but quickly responded back with the same momentum, arms moving forward to wrap around her back as they both explored each other's mouth in an un-gentle rough manner.
Under the pale moonlight by the pond, the couple ended their date with arms wrapped around each other, and a passionate youthful kiss lasted several minutes.
Unaware of their surroundings, with their focus solely on each other, Nora's finger presses down on the camera button for one last time. Her grin never left her face the entire time.
...
Like a moving current flowing down a stream, time also swiftly ticks forward. Soon the couple, seemingly satisfied with the conclusion of their date, made their way outta the park and boarded the Bullhead towards Beacon.
Despite it being late into the night, not all students visiting Vale chose to leave earlier when it was still daytime so while the Bullhead wasn't filled with as many people as this morning there was still a substantial amount.
The ride didn't last too long. The Bullhead landed on the ground and students quickly rushed out. Among the students, Jaune and Blake give each other a glance and make their way back to the dorm together.
As one passenger after another got off the Bullhead, the once almost packed aircraft quickly became devoid of people. And as the last to get off, Nora cautiously scans her surroundings for anyone... and when seeing none, she releases a reliving breath.
''Phew~ they're not here. Alright, I should head back to the dorm too! I can't wait to share my collection with everyone tomorrow, heh heh…'' Nora incessantly giggled to herself and headed back to the dorm.
She didn't forget to make some deliberate turn to intentionally slow down her pace, not wanting to meet Blake and Jaune by coincidence. The thought of being asked where she had been by those two made her feel a little guilty. After all, where has she been? Not much, just followed the two secret dates and took a bunch of pictures from morning till night. She couldn't possibly say that!
At least, not yet. Heh heh!
The juicy material for gossip in her hand made Nora's day—which started with complete utter boredom—ending with the greatest and most memorable day for her. At least… that was supposed to be the case.
Because the figure before her—with her light-blond hair tied back in a bun, curling down to her right front shoulder, dressed in a white long-sleeved, pleated blouse, and covered in black high-waisted skirt with a bronze button and black fading into brown stockings. In addition, she also wore a cap with purple inside and black outside.
With that signature stern face that was never seen leaving her—who else can this person be other than Glynda Goodwitch.
The one teacher every student in Beacon was scared to get detention from!
Nora gulped, as a realization hit her when looking at Ms. Goodwitch. She directly felt this so-called greatest and memorable day would just become 'memorable'.
Nora cleared her throat, forced a smile, then said. ''Um, heh heh, am I in trouble Ms. Goodwitch?''
Immediately after asking, as if to confirm her question, Glynda's stern expression combined with her stern tone directly hit Nora. ''You certainly are, young lady! A good talking with you would be an order.''
''May I ask why?'' Nora gulped again, her normal silly grin all gone.
''Have you forgotten about the conflict with Mr. Winchester and his team this morning, Ms. Valkyrie? Because of the damage the five of you had caused, it has naturally been reported and come to our attention.
